Arrow Electronics Hosts First Asia-Pacific Internet of Things Immersions Event to Accelerate IoT Development

HONG KONG, CHINA--(Marketwired - Nov 3, 2015) - Arrow Electronics, Inc., (NYSE: ARW) announced its Internet of Things (IoT) Immersions event that connects IoT ecosystem leaders and developers to discuss the critical aspects of successful deployment of IoT, and explores how businesses can overcome disruptive technology complexity to accelerate IoT development. The event will be held on 19 November, 2015 at the Charles K. Kao Auditorium of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks (HKSTP).

A recent IDC report indicates that by 2020 there could be as many as 8.6 billion connected devices in Asia-Pacific region, and one out of every five connected devices will be found in China. With the enormous number of connected IoT nodes, technology manufacturers are faced with ever-increasing complexity and challenges around wireless connectivity, system integration, data management and aggregation, and monetization opportunities.
