    SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - February 11, 2016) -  The Linux Foundation, the nonprofit organization enabling mass innovation through open source, today is announcing Chris Aniszczyk, Mark Hinkle and Nicko van Someren are joining the organization's executive leadership team. These additions represent some of the best talent from the open source community and technology industry and will help drive The Linux Foundation's mission to accelerate open development for the largest shared technology investments in history.

    Chris Aniszczyk brings more than 15 years experience as The Linux Foundation's vice president of Developer Programs. He is currently acting as interim executive director of the Cloud Native Computing Foundation and will work to evolve how the Linux Foundation engages new projects and supports the development of open source at scale. Previously Aniszczyk served as Twitter's head of open source, where he led a team of developer advocates and was responsible for Twitter's open source engineering, strategy and culture. He has also contributed to Gentoo Linux and served on the Eclipse Foundation's Board of Directors and the Java Community Process Executive Committee. An engineer by trade, Aniszczyk brings a passion for both open source and community development to the organization.
