    IQALUIT, NU--(Marketwired - April 27, 2016) - Scotiabank and its partners, the NHL®, Project North, First Air and Canadian Tire Corporation, are inviting northern communities to a special celebration of hockey, Thursday, April 28 to Saturday, April 30.

    The iconic Stanley Cup® will be visiting seven communities with NHL Alumni™Lanny McDonald and Mark Napier.

    What:
    Scotiabank and Canadian Tire are donating 25 bags of new hockey equipment to local kids, who will also get to take photos with the Stanley Cup® and meet NHL Alumni™ Lanny McDonald and Mark Napier.

    12:15 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. 

    Where:
    Recreational Complex, Kugluktuk

    1. Resolute Bay

    What:
    Local hockey fans will have the opportunity to come to the ATCO South Camp Inn to have their photo taken with the Stanley Cup® and get autographs from NHL Alumni Lanny McDonald and Mark Napier.

    When:
    7:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

    Where:
    ATCO South Camp Inn, Resolute Bay

    Friday, April 29 :

    1. Arctic Bay

    What:
    Community celebration of hockey with the Stanley Cup®, featuring a cultural presentation with throat singing taking place on the sea ice. Local community members are invited to participate in a special skate lead by NHL Alumni Lanny McDonald and Mark Napier at an outdoor skating rink.

    When:
    11:15 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.

    Where:
    On the sea-ice rink within the community, Arctic Bay

    1. Pond Inlet

    What:
    There will be a parade from the airport to the beach with the Stanley Cup®, NHL Alumni, the RCMP, fire department and hockey fans from the community. The Cup will then be taken to the beach for a photo op near an iceberg.

    When:
    3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

    Where:
    Close to the community at an iceberg with the view of Bylot Island, Pond Inlet

    Saturday, April 30 :

    1. Igloolik

    What:
    Scotiabank and the NHL® are hosting a celebration of hockey, where local hockey fans can take their photo with the Stanley Cup® and get autographs from NHL Alumni. Scotiabank and Canadian Tire will be donating 25 bags of new hockey equipment to the local community centre.

    When:
    11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. 

    Where:
    Igloolik Community Hall, Igloolik

    1. Cambridge Bay

    What:
    Young hockey fans from Kiilinik High School will host special visitors, when the Stanley Cup® and NHL Alumni™ come to their school.

    When:
    2:20 p.m. - 4:15 p.m. 

    Where:
    Kiilinik High School, Cambridge Bay

    1. Yellowknife

    What: 
    The final stop is at the Legislature, where community members can have their photo taken with the Stanley Cup® and get autographs from NHL Alumni.

    When:
    8:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

    Where:
    Legislative Assembly, 4570-48th Street, Yellowknife
