Robert Wittmann new Spokesman of the Management Board at Gebr. Bode GmbH &
Co. KG, Kassel
Munich / Kassel, 30 September 2016 - Robert Wittmann (50) has been
appointed Spokesman of the Management Board at Gebr. Bode GmbH & Co. KG
("Schaltbau Bode"), Kassel, with effect from 1 October 2016. As new member
of the management team, Mr Wittmann will be responsible for the Automotive
and Bus fields as well as for Operations and Quality.
After completing his studies in mechanical and automotive engineering in
Munich, in 1994 Robert Wittmann was initially employed at TAKATA Europe and
then in 2000 at AUTOLIV B.V. & Co. KG, where he was variously responsible
for development, project management, sales and finally as Vice President
for the customer VW in China as well as Customer Director for Audi, Seat
and VW USA/Mexico. As from 2008, Mr Wittmann headed up a business unit at
LEONI AG, Kitzingen/Nuremberg, responsible for sales of more than EUR 250
million and several production locations in North Africa, Poland, Slovakia
and Ukraine.
Most recently, from 2011, Mr Wittmann was CEO of the FRITZMEIER Group, a
manufacturer of cabs for off-highway vehicles, composite components for
commercial vehicles, and carbon structural components for the electric
mobility sector, generating annual sales in the region of EUR 500 million.
Within the Mobile Transportation Technology segment of the Schaltbau Group,
Mr Wittmann will be responsible for leveraging the entire portfolio of the
Schaltbau Group to establish the Automotive and Bus fields on an
international basis.
The Management Board of Schaltbau Bode additionally comprises Thomas
Giebisch (CEO Rail) and Sven Oelert (CFO).
Schaltbau Bode, a wholly owned subsidiary of Schaltbau Holding AG, Munich,
is a leading supplier of door and boarding systems for buses, trains and
commercial vehicles. Its range of products and services comprises the
development, manufacturing, installation, commissioning and maintenance of
