SFC Energy AG: SFC Energy AG raises loan and places option bond with
private investor

Brunnthal/Munich, October 19, 2016 - The Management Board of SFC Energy AG
(the Company) raised on October 18, 2016, with approval of its Supervisory
Board from the same day, a loan and, based on resolution of the ordinary
general meeting of June 14, 2016, issued an option bond. The shareholders'
subscription rights were excluded as the option bond was issued as part of
a private placement to a private investor and lender from Singapore.

The option bond has a nominal value of EUR 2,500.00, a term until 2021 and
shall bear interest on their principal amount at the rate of 4.0 % per
annum. The issue price was set at 100% of the nominal value. The option
bond has attached to it an option right granting the right to acquire
161,427 no-par-value bearer shares in the Company each with a notional
amount of EUR 1.00 in the share capital at an option price of EUR 2.4779.

The Company has received gross proceeds in the amount of EUR 2.0 million.
The cash inflow from the capital measures is intended to be used to further
strengthen the liquidity base.
