Munich, 27^th of April 2017: windeln.de, one of the leading online retailers for baby and toddler products in Europe and for customers in China, has won an award as the most popular international brand on Alibaba Group's B2C marketplace Tmall Global. The ceremony was held during a global merchant conference which looked at trends in cross border e-commerce in China at Alibaba Group's headquarters in Hangzhou/China on April 18, 2017.

Jun Chen, windeln.de's representative at its recently opened office in Shanghai, accepted the award on behalf of windeln.de. The windeln.de office in China was opened in order to better observe developments in the Chinese baby and toddler's market and to be closer to the Chinese customer.

windeln.de opened its flagship store on Tmall Global, Alibaba Group's e-marketplace for international brands without a physical presence in China, in July 2016 (windelnde.tmall.hk). The Tmall Global store offers an additional platform to existing windeln.de customers in China and, at the same time, attracts new customers. Since the launch ten months ago, the windeln.de store on Tmall Global has shown a strong increase in number of orders delivered from Germany to China.
