Market segment change on the stock exchange - now listing in the Entry
Standard

- More transparency for shareholders - planned medium term capital
measure

Munich, 16.04.2012: Two years after the listing on the stock exchange GIEAG
Gewerbe Immobilien Entwicklungs AG, GIEAG for short, transferred to the FWB
Frankfurter Stock Exchange from the open market (First Quotation Board) in
the Entry Standard. The German stock exchange has already granted the
request. The total share capital, divided into 4.2 million shares, is
admitted for trading.

´With the decision for a change in the Entry Standard we have consciously
decided on greater transparency and a higher level of information for our
shareholders and market participants´, stresses Christoph Klotz, chairman
of GIEAG. ´The results of the last few years underline our sustainable and
successful business model. As part of our declared expansion strategy in
the project business and increasingly in attractive residential property we
plan in the medium term to generate required equity via the capital market.
For this reason, in the future we will increasingly use market
opportunities that present themselves and realise new projects with
appropriate returns at an acceptable risk. Using the increasing share in
residential property with particular development potential we are building
an enhanced material for the future and additionally generating a steady
cash flow. This means we can plan for our business and avoid the risk at
the same time as well.´
