Mobimo realises large residential construction project in Dübendorf for
Mobil-iar real estate fund
Lucerne/Küsnacht, 28 February 2013 - Mobimo Holding AG (´Mobimo´) is
realising a residential development consisting of 240 rental apartments in
the Hochbord district of Dübendorf for the MobiFonds Swiss Property fund, a
real estate fund managed by the Swiss asset manager Mobiliar Asset
Management AG. The project is being de-veloped by the Investment for Third
Parties division of Mobimo Management AG in Küsnacht.
Mobimo is planning to build attractive and varied rental apartments in an
elegant perimeter block development with a spacious inner courtyard on a
site extending to over 11,000m2 in Dübendorf. The development on the
Sonnentalstrasse is very close to Stettbach train station and the
Glattalbahn, and therefore enjoys excellent public transport links.
Residents will also have easy access to surrounding green spaces and
leisure amenities.
After Mobimo AG purchased the site in June 2012 five firms of architects
were invited to take part in a tender. The joint project of Fischer
Architekten AG, Zurich, and asp Land-schaftsarchitekten, Zurich, was chosen
by the jury in December 2012 as the project on which work would begin. The
design plan for the new block will be submitted in March 2013 and the
building application is expected for the end of 2013. Construction work is
slated to begin in the summer of 2014. Mobimo expects to be able to hand
the project over to its new owner in mid-2014 after formal planning
approval is received.
