Curanum AG announces Management Board change

At a meeting held yesterday evening, the Supervisory Board of Curanum AG
acceded to the wish of Mr. Walther Wever, the company's CEO, to relinquish
his mandate by the end of today, and step down from the Management Board.
The Supervisory Board also passed a resolution to delegate Supervisory
Board Chairman Dr. Uwe Ganzer as CEO to the Management Board. This
delegation is initially limited until December 31, 2014, and can be
extended by a Supervisory Board resolution up to a maximum of one year. Dr.
Martin Hoyos, who has been a Curanum AG Supervisory Board member for many
years, and who has been Audit Committee Chairman to date, will assume the
role of Supervisory Board Chairman for the duration of this delegation.

As outgoing Supervisory Board Chairman, Dr. Uwe Ganzer paid tribute to the
CEO's contribution and performance: "Mr. Wever has played a significant
role over the past years in helping Curanum AG become a modern service
company in the senior care sector. He has made a key contribution to
ensuring that the company today forms a successful part of the Korian Group
- Europe's largest provider of senior care services. We understand Mr.
Wever's wish to take on other challenges in the future, and we are happy
that - despite this - he will remain attached to our house on an amicable
basis as part of his consultancy activities."

Dr. Uwe Ganzer has belonged to the company's Supervisory Board since 2008.
During the years 2003 until 2011, he managed VARTA AG as sole management
board member. He also holds other supervisory board mandates at other
companies outside the care sector.

"As Dr. Ganzer possesses detailed knowledge of all the important topics due
to his having accompanied Curanum AG for many years, we regard the
continuation of the company's strategic orientation as secured," commented
Dr. Martin Hoyos."
