Borussia Dortmund announces preliminary results for the fiscal year 2013/2014

Borussia Dortmund recorded a double-digit million profit in the third
fiscal year in a row.

In the past financial year (1.7.2013 - 30.6.2014) the Borussia Dortmund
Group recorded consolidated revenues of EUR 260.7 m. (previous year EUR
305.0 m.). Adjusted for transfer revenues the consolidated revenues
increased from EUR 253.4 m. (previous year) by EUR 2.8 m. to EUR 256.2 m.
despite the comparatively early elimination from the UEFA Champions League
in the quarterfinal. Consolidated net profit of the group amounted to EUR
12.0 m. (previous year EUR 51.2 m.).

The group revenues amounted to EUR 260.7 m. (previous year EUR 305.0 m.)
and spread as follows: EUR 40.5 m. (previous year EUR 44.8 m.) match
operations; EUR 81.4 m. (previous year EUR 87.6 m.) TV-Rights; EUR 73.0 m.
(previous year EUR 69.3 m.) sponsoring; EUR 4.5 m. (previous year EUR 51.6
m.) transfer; EUR 26.3 m. (previous year EUR 20.3 m.) catering/other and
EUR 35.0 m. (previous year EUR 31.4 m.) merchandise.

Total operating performance of the group amounted EUR 266.0 m. (previous
year EUR 307.8 m.). Other operating income increased from EUR 2.8 m. by EUR
2.4 m. to EUR 5.2. m. in the group financial statement.

Personnel expenses of the group increased from EUR 106.2 m. (previous year)
by EUR 1.6 m. to EUR 107.8 m. Depreciations of the group increased from EUR
22.4 m. by EUR 8.3 m. to EUR 30.7 m. Compared to the previous year the
other operating expenses decreased from EUR 96.6 m. by EUR 7.9 m. to EUR
88.7 m.

The group financial result improved and decreased from EUR -5.1 m. by EUR
1.2 m. to EUR -3.9 m. Profit after taxes of the group in the fiscal year
2013/2014 amounted to EUR 12.0 m. (previous year EUR 51.2 m.).

The consolidated earnings before taxes (EBT) amounted to EUR 14,6 m.
(previous year EUR 60,0 m.). Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation
and amortization (EBITDA) amounted to EUR 49,1 m. (previous year EUR 87,5
m.).

The statements above are key figures determined in accordance with
International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) of the group financial
statement of Borussia Dortmund.

The revenues in the individual financial statement of the company in the
past fiscal year 2013/2014 (1.7.2013 - 30.6.2014) amounted to EUR 223.8 m.
(previous year EUR 272.4 m.).
In the individual financial statement Borussia Dortmund GmbH & Co. KGaA
recorded profit after taxes of EUR 10.6 m. (previous year EUR 53.3 m.)

Earnings before taxes (EBT) in the individual financial statement amounted
EUR 12.4 m. (previous year EUR 61.5 m.), earnings before interest, taxes,
depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) in the individual financial
statement amounted EUR 40.8 m. (previous year EUR 73.2 m.).

Given to the result situation the management intends to propose to the
supervisory board the payment of a dividend in an amount of 0.10 EUR per
share for the decision to be jointly taken regarding the proposal of
appropriation of profits to the annual shareholders' meeting 2014. The
supervisory board will adopt a decision about this in its meeting on
September 9th, 2014.
