Brilon, November 13, 2014: CENTROTEC Sustainable AG, Brilon, confirming its
announcement from the end of October, generated revenue of EUR 146.3
million and EBIT of EUR 14.7 million in the third quarter of 2014. The
figures for the corresponding period of the previous year were EUR 147.1
million and EUR 15.2 million respectively. Aggregate revenue for the first
three quarters of the year came to EUR 390.5 million (previous year EUR
383.0 million), with an operating result (EBIT) of EUR 20.3 million
(previous year EUR 22.2 million).
The main reason for the subdued business performance is the general
weakening of Germany's economy, which is also reflected in a noticeable
slowdown in the sales market for heating systems since mid-way through the
year. International markets, too, are currently exhibiting no positive
momentum whatsoever: the market conditions in France, the Netherlands,
Italy and Spain remain cyclically weak. Austria and Eastern European
markets are being adversely affected by the crisis in Russia and Ukraine.
These developments have continued beyond the third quarter.
In light of this environment, and taking account of the record result
posted in the fourth quarter of the previous year along with its experience
of how the current quarter is progressing, CENTROTEC expects full-year EBIT
to reach the range of EUR 32 to 34 million, with revenue towards the lower
end of its original forecasting range of EUR 525 to 550 million.
