Hispanic IT Executive Council Selects SGI CEO for Its HITEC 100 List

MILPITAS, CA--(Marketwired - Nov 21, 2014) - SGI (NASDAQ: SGI), a global leader in high performance solutions for compute, data analytics and data management, announced that Jorge Titinger, president and CEO of SGI, has been selected as one of the Hispanic Information Technology Executive Council (HITEC)'s HITEC 100. The HITEC 100 award will be presented at the HITEC 100 Awards Gala and Ceremony on November 21 at 7:00 PM at the Four Seasons in Silicon Valley.

The HITEC 100 award program was created in 2008 to recognize the top 100 most influential and notable Hispanic professionals who have excelled in leadership roles in the information technology industry. HITEC 100 recipients are recognized not just for their keen business acumen, but also for their ability to inspire young people to pursue careers in technology, and motivate professionals to continue to excel and connect with the Hispanic community.

Jorge joined SGI as president and chief executive officer (CEO), as well as a member of its Board of Directors, on February 27, 2012. As CEO, he brings a pragmatic approach to driving success, focusing on delivering the best possible solutions and support systems for new and existing customers all over the world. He leverages his vast leadership experience at a number of technology companies to guide SGI towards its goal of providing world-class supercomputing resources to today's industry-leading companies.
