CGI (NYSE: GIB) (TSX: GIB.A) has been awarded a contract to provide North Wales Police with managed ICT and related business services.  The initial contract is valued at £17.8million for five years, with options to extend within the overall framework. The relationship with CGI will enable North Wales Police to maximise efficiencies in ICT service delivery, releasing £3.5 million savings over the term, whilst leveraging technology assets and innovation to support transformation of operational activities.

North Wales Police already has a reputation as an innovator in the use of ICT, mobile services and outsourcing.  CGI will be responsible for taking ICT services forward, designing and operating a modern infrastructure and working closely with the client team to design and manage an ongoing transformation programme.  CGI's services and systems integration expertise will assist North Wales Police in the achievement of relevant operational and financial objectives.

Data and systems security assurance will be planned, managed and transformed in collaboration with the Police and CGI's Cyber Security teams in accordance with the security management framework and government requirements.
