Day & Zimmermann Names Darren Gale Vice President of Nuclear Operations

PHILADELPHIA, PA--(Marketwired - May 5, 2015) -  Day & Zimmermann (D&Z), the century-old, family-owned provider of construction and engineering, staffing and defense solutions for leading corporations and governments around the world, announced today that Darren Gale has been named Vice President of Nuclear Operations for Day & Zimmermann NPS, a division of the company's Engineering, Construction & Maintenance group. Based in Lancaster, PA, Gale's primary responsibility will be to manage all aspects of service to the NPS nuclear customer base.

Before joining Day & Zimmermann NPS, Gale spent more than 30 years working in different roles in the nuclear power industry. He served as Vice President & Project Director for an international provider of energy products and services where he directed and secured funding for the $1 billion U.S. Department of Energy sponsored mPower Development and Licensing program. Earlier, he served as Vice President of Steam Generator Services for a global provider of nuclear power products and services designed to ensure nuclear reactor safety and performance. Darren earned bachelors and masters degrees in Nuclear Engineering from Kansas State University, and an MBA from Averett University in Virginia.
