The new Gigaset GS160 Smartphone - Ready for the mass market

GS160, that is the name of the new smartphone from Gigaset. Equipped with a
13-megapixel camera, fingerprint sensor and 4G LTE at a price of EUR149.00,
the GS160 is a real true value-for-money product aimed primarily at
consumers that expect high brad quality in the entry-level segment. In
addition to its excellent camera and dual SIM slot, the Android 6.0-based
smartphone impresses in particular with outstanding voice quality and
innovative smart touch functions.

A lot of technology at a small price
The Gigaset GS160 is excellently equipped all round and impresses with
state-of-the-art technology both internally and externally. The high-
resolution 5-inch IPS HD touch display not only features brilliant colors
and an outstanding field of view, but also enables the trouble-free use of
a host of smart touch functions for interacting with apps. The Gigaset
GS160 is powered by an efficient 1.3 GHz MTK Quad Core processor with 1 GB
RAM and 16 GB internal flash memory that can be expanded by 128 GB with a
microSD card. That ensures stable performance and sufficient memory even
during intensive media consumption or when using multiple apps. To make
sure ample power is also available for such high performance, the phone has
an integrated replaceable 2,500 mAh Li-ion battery that provides
flexibility and usability.

Thanks to its dual SIM slot, two SIM cards can be operated at the same
time, and dual standby functionality means that both cards are always
available instead of having to switch between them. The Gigaset GS160
features 4G LTE which allows users to surf the web with the fastest mobile
speed currently available. Additional to the two SIM slots the Gigaset
GS160 offers a separate, third slot for a microSD-card. The internal 16 GB
memory can thus be expanded by up to 128 GB - a significant reference value
in this price segment. That's enough memory for more than 55,000 photos,
18,000 songs or 30 HD videos.

13-megapixel camera with auto focus
Smartphones have long also been used as digital cameras. Always on hand,
they capture the user's experiences in every imaginable situation - from a
panoramic photo to a close-up selfie. To that end, special attention was
paid to the camera functionality of the Gigaset GS160 during its
development. A 13-megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash is integrated
into the back of the phone. On the front, a 5-megapixel camera ensures
excellent image quality for selfies.
