Swinerton Expands Education Market Reach With SBCCD Win

IRVINE, CA--(Marketwired - Jul 8, 2014) -  San Bernardino Community College District (SBCCD) has awarded Swinerton Builders Orange County and Los Angeles a lease-leaseback/best value contract for the new gymnasium at San Bernardino Valley College. The three-story, 146,000-square-foot gymnasium will feature basketball courts, fitness rooms, locker rooms, lecture rooms, classrooms, and staff offices. In addition to the gymnasium the project includes field support buildings, grandstands and an extensive amount of landscaping. The $51.5 million dollar project, designed by HMC Architects, will be seeking LEED Silver certification upon its expected completion in late 2016.
