asknet expands its management team
Karlsruhe, July 31, 2015 − Karlsruhe-based asknet AG has recently
strengthened its management team. The addition of three new e-commerce
experts puts it now in a position to tap the potential of its respective
target markets even further.
Franz Schlickum joined the management team in early July as the new Vice
President of the Business Unit Digital Goods. The expert on digital
business concepts is responsible for expanding his business unit and the
development of new digital products and services at asknet. "I was
especially drawn to asknet by the opportunity to play an active
entrepreneurial role. I manage my business unit as a kind of independent
company within the company, as an 'intrapreneur,' if you will," Schlickum
said, describing why he decided to join asknet. Before taking up this post,
Schlickum most recently worked with Tele2 as an independent consultant for
establishing and expanding the online sales channel for cellular products.
Schlickum also drew on his extensive digital marketing and online sales
expertise in other positions of responsibility that he held within the
telecommunications industry and as a consultant, including as the digital
director at the media agency Maxus, as the head of online and web services
at Versatel, as senior online consultant at Vodafone and as product manager
for the T-Online shopping portal.
asknet also successfully recruited Alexander Del Toro Barba for the
position of Senior Business Development Manager to tap into new markets. He
will advise the management team and be responsible for developing and
driving forward new ideas. "In my previous role as Senior Marketing Manager
for Google Ireland, I was already pursuing projects independently. Here at
asknet, I'm now developing entire product landscapes," Del Toro said,
describing the challenge he faces at his new (former) employer. "I am
excited to be back at asknet, since the company has changed significantly
in 2015. The company's focus on customer centricity can now be seen in new
products and additional market opportunities, which I will assist in
leveraging. Having such a direct impact and international perspective is
truly unique."
Noel Kienzle took over as Vice President of Professional Services at asknet
AG on June 1, 2015. He boasts more than ten years of experience in software
development and e-commerce. "Just a few days after I joined asknet, I was
already consulting a company looking to find its bearings within the world
