Hamburg, November 21st, 2014 - Varengold Bank AG (WKN 547 930) acquired a
participation of 100% in the "HPI Securities & Futures Limited" based in
Hong Kong, which is in particular to be integrated in the Varengold group
in perspective. For that purpose, Varengold received the permission of the
local regulating authority SFC (Securities and Futures
Commission)
Varengold thus receives the ability to commit themselves to an entity with
a so-called Broker-Dealer License. The continuative intention is to use the
opportunity for winning of the Asian financial market, in particular
institutional clients, as well as expanding of the customer base in the
areas of capital markets brokerage, asset management and prime brokerage
through a direct physical presence of an office in Hong Kong.
