Swinerton Receives Double Honor by ENR for New San Francisco High-Rise

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - August 22, 2016) - 399 Fremont, Swinerton Builders' newest completed high-rise tower in the iconic San Francisco skyline is reaching new heights this summer. The project was recognized with a Best Projects 2016 Award by ENR California and also received an Award of Merit in the Residential/Hospitality category in ENR's Global Best Projects competition. Swinerton worked closely with project partners UDR, Inc., Project Management Advisors, Inc., Solomon Cordwell Buenz, and Magnusson Klemencic Associates to bring the 42-story tower to life.

These award competitions identify and honor the teams behind outstanding design and construction. Project submissions are evaluated on the ability of the team to overcome challenges, its contribution to the industry and community, safety, as well as construction and design quality. Swinerton was honored with these awards for the project team's tenacity and commitment to quality and safety, and ensuring this complex project exceeded owner expectations and achieved budget and schedule goals. Swinerton was also honored for seamlessly collaborating and navigating through the logistical and cultural challenges of working with several overseas subcontractors.

Located in the Rincon Hill area of San Francisco, the sleek new tower, which boasts 447 units ranging in size from studios to three-bedroom penthouses, is a perfect complement to the city's iconic skyline with its lustrous glass façade.

The top floor of the building features a roof-top sky lounge, library, and various conference rooms. Swinerton constructed a dog park for residents' canine friends on Level 3, along with a swimming pool, day spa, and fitness center on Level 5. Swinerton also constructed four above-grade and three below-grade levels of parking, and 4,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor.
