Nanogate secures another major order in the million range
High double-digit million-euro order from automotive sector - Additional
capacities to be created in area of plastic components
Göttelborn, Germany, 20 October 2016. Nanogate AG, a leading international
systems provider for high-tech surfaces and components, has secured another
major order. Starting in 2018, the Group will supply plastic components
with optically high-quality surfaces to a luxury car manufacturer. The
multi-year order has a cumulative volume in the high double-digit million
range. This major project marks a milestone for Nanogate in the expansion
of its lucrative component business.
Nanogate AG's CEO, Ralf Zastrau, commented: "The new project is one of the
biggest orders in our company's history and will further strengthen our
market position. It will enable Nanogate to secure its long-term sales
potential. The million-euro order also validates our strategy of pushing
ahead with our component business. As an innovation partner, we are firmly
established among premium manufacturers in the automotive sector."
From 2018, Nanogate will supply top-class plastic components in the highest
optical quality to a German automotive group in the premium segment. The
components are used on the exteriors of vehicles, such as on their B
pillars, for example. The automotive manufacturer will use the Nanogate
components for several vehicle ranges, including an SUV. For this systems
business, Nanogate is responsible for the entire component and covers all
stages of the value chain. The Group is in charge of developing and
designing the component, which includes manufacturing prototypes and the
necessary machinery and tools. Nanogate will further increase its
capacities for mass production of the component and the surface.
