SLM Solutions Group AG expands Management Board

Luebeck, July 28, 2014 - SLM Solutions Group AG, a leading provider of
metal-based additive manufacturing technology (also referred to as "3D
printing"), is expanding its Management Board to include industry expert
Henner Schöneborn, previously Executive Vice President at SLM Solutions.
Schöneborn is regarded as a pioneer of selective laser melting technology,
and will now be responsible for the "Corporate Development and Innovation"
area on the Management Board.

Henner Schöneborn has worked for SLM Solutions and its predecessor
companies since 1993. He has almost three decades of industry experience,
as well as proven expertise in the area of metal-based additive and
subtractive manufacturing technologies. After graduating from Cologne
University of Applied Sciences in mechanical engineering, Schöneborn went
on to qualify in technology economics at the Cologne European Academy.
Before moving to SLM Solutions, he was product manager at Stuttgart-based
machine tool manufacturing company Hahn & Kolb, among other roles. As the
third Management Board member of SLM Solutions Group AG, Schöneborn will be
responsible in future for the area of corporate development and innovation.

Dr. Markus Rechlin, CEO of SLM Solutions Group AG, expressed his
satisfaction at this appointment: "Research and development play a critical
