      @ all

Arafura raises A$5.58 million in Shareholder Share Purchase Plan

The board of Arafura is pleased to announce that the Shareholder Share Purchase Plan (“SSPP”) that was recently offered to all Arafura shareholders has raised A$5.58 million dollars. The offer has marginally exceeded the maximum amount allowable to be issued under ASX Listing Rule 7.4. The board are in the process of reconciling all applications and will then finalise the allotment of shares to all participants. The Company has implemented the issue in accordance with its terms and the terms of Class Order 02/831. The Class Order provides that a registered holder may only participate to a maximum of $5000 worth of shares under an SSPP in any 12 month period. As required by the Class Order, the application form includes a declaration deemed to be made by the applicant that he or she has not participated in excess of that limit. The Board thanks its shareholders for there overwhelming support in the SSPP which provides Arafura with a strong cash position to aggressively pursue the exploration and development programs of the companies Rare Earths, Uranium and Gold Projects. The exploration programme for 2006 is scheduled to commence in May with drilling at Kurinelli.

      Agreed norm.

It will flirt with 32c-35c for some time IMO.

Could take WEEKS/MONTHS to clear/absorb the 10-15 million odd shares that are going to come onto the market.

It will unfortunately diffuse the impact of drilling announcements... and to that extent, it has been timed pretty badly.

If they had raised in Jan... we would be sailing now.

Have to agree with Norm, the fact that the company allowed all and sundry to get on the showboat with a 15k issue at a huge discount to existing SP at the time made for the events that followed.

Ordinary, and larger holders { ie investors who bought for the longer term } paying the penalty for this excercise which will uundoubtedly raise the necessary capital Arafura needs to expand its interests.

Do not believe sp will get back to the levels suggested by mister moon but WHAT A GREAT TIME TO ACCUMULATE.

This company will find its proper place on the ASX in the short term with all or many of the assets being either drilled or ready for future mining plans.

      Time will tell, Always does

I think we may be surprised how quick many get swallowed up.
There are some smart operators out there just waiting.

I sold at 52 and 49 despite wanting to hold for longer term. I just think its going to drop as well and taking profits and re-entering seemed like the way to go.

17 million or so isnt all that many, so hopefully the sell down and profit takers dont last too long. With big announcements due in coming months id hate to see people holding this one back.

It has shown that it does have the potential to run and run well despite the SSPP. The big buying that was occuring will return, without question.

I'll be getting set again for anything under 40.

      @Art Bechstein

      Danke dir.

      Interessant us dem Interim Report:

"...Amongst different materials, prices of auxiliary materials including oxalic acid, liquid soda and fuel increased over 10% as compared to the same period last year. Some suppliers in Baotou, Inner Mongolia suspended production and the resultant limited supply of rare earth ore in the Northern region also presented additional pressure. Besides, the cancellation of export tax rebate for rare earth products by the PRC government since 1 May 2005 increased export costs...."
