NeoGenomics operates a network of cancer-focused testing laboratories in the United States. The company currently offers cytogenetics testing, Fluorescence In-Situ Hybridization ("FISH") testing, flow cytometry testing, immunohistochemistry ("IHC") testing, and molecular testing. Each of these testing services are widely utilized to determine the diagnosis and prognosis of various types and subtypes of cancer and to help predict a patient's potential response to specific therapies.

Management has been executing well, which led to a great year for NEO. We believe the company will be rewarded by gaining entry into the Russell 2000. However, a couple factors keep us from adding it to our official portfolio:

From a fundamental perspective, DSOs/ Receivable turnover has become a watch factor. The company has a strong billing team, but the expiration of the TC Grandfather Clause and other managed care / network trends seem to have pushed out their cash conversion cycle. This may explain their recent round of funding. From a trading perspective, the shares have run and NEO's average daily volume should enable fund managers to accumulate shares fairly easily.

This combination of factors leaves investors with more risk and less opportunity for reward than we would like to see.

Roth starts NeoGenomics at buy

Roth Capital Partners has initiated coverage of NeoGenomics Laboratories (NASDAQ:NEO) with a “buy” rating and $6 price target. The stock closed at $3.04 on Friday.

NeoGenomics is a high-complexity oncology reference lab, which is on the “brink of significant revenue acceleration despite reimbursement headwinds,” writes analyst Debjit Chattopadhyay.

buy initiationShares of NeoGenomics are currently trading at price/sales multiple of 1.7 (peer group at 3.3) Roth’s above-consensus 2015 revenue estimate of $87.4-million.

In November 2013, NeoGenomics became the exclusive oncology clinical reference lab for Covance clinical trials. “While visibility is limited, we are modeling $6.4-million in incremental revenue for NeoGenomics during 2015, from Covance,” Mr. Chattopadhyay said.

However, by his estimates, Covance’s central lab revenue is likely to be about $911-million during 2015, of which 30% to 40% could be oncology related.

“Our $6.4-million flow-through from Covance represents less than 1% of Covance’s reference lab revenue, and with NeoGenomics being the sole provider of oncology-related clinical testing, we see significant upside potential to our $87.4-million 2015 revenue estimate,” he added.

Mr. Chattopadhyay also noted that a pending launch of a non-invasive test for prostate cancer could potentially double NeoGenomis’s current revenue base.

am Freitag wurden bei Neogenomics 7 Millionen Aktien umgesetzt
mehr als 10 mal soviel wie sonst

Neogenomics hat ja oft genug darauf hingewiesen, dass die

"uneingeschränkte kommerzielle Markteinführung" des Urin/Plasma-basieten Prostatakrebstests für die zweite Jahreshälfte 2015 geplant ist.

Irgendwo (ich zitiere aus der Erinnerung) hiess es auch schon mal 3.Quartal 2015

Bisher war es immer so;
Es wurde wenig in Aussicht gestellt aber mehr geliefert.
Wenn es diesmal wieder so ist, wäre die jüngste fulminante Rallye die vorweggenommene Reaktion.

Bleibt desweiteren zu hoffen, dass der Urin/Plasma-basierte Prostatakrebstest bald in die Kommerzialisierung geht.

es war irgendwie verhagelt daher mehr Gegenwind als Aufwind
was den gestrigen Kursrutsch auslöste

das meiner Meinung nach wichtigste: der Markteintritt des Prostatakrebstest wird auf 2016 verschoben
