It should be noted that the author of the article does not take into consideration that Rodan + Fields will launch in Japan next year 2020. The Skin Lightener should be available to all markets where R+F is present. However, I understand that the author has conservative perspective and fact is that R+F has not explicitly stated the Skin Lighterer to be sold in Japan.
Another remark is the Financial State where the author once again is conservative and only rely on the MD&A for the period ending July 31, 2019. In the last interview, Howard mention that there is not capital needs for 2019, nor 2020. One interpretation is that R+F paid a fair upfront, even though I think that Howard prioritize royalty over upfront and milestones.
I think R+F paid an upfront, milestone for every product they launch as well as royalty on sales.

Super Fund Semira. Unser Baby braucht halt noch 2 Jahre. Dann kann man Sirona richtig bewerten. Die Spanne momentan ist mM von 2 bis 5 Euro in 2020. Strike...!!!

The invention in this scenario would remain pending for 21 years.
