China-based independent PV power producer GCL New Energy Holdings (GCLNE) has reported preliminary first half year 2017 results, which included cumulative installed PV power plant capacity surpassing 5GW for the first time.
GCLNE reported cumulative installed PV power plant capacity of approximately 5,049MW by the end of June, 2017 reporting period, an 88.4% increase year-on-year.
Grid-connected capacity in China and overseas on a consolidated basis was said to have increased by approximately 94.8%, from approximately 2,127MW at the end of the first half of 2016 and reached as around 4,143MW at the end of the first half of 2017. Overseas capacity remained at 87MW.
GCLNE had previously highlighted that it planned a major disposal of grid connected solar power plants to improve its capital recycling and project financing pressures in 2017. The company had proposed disposing of substantial stakes in 1GW to 1.5GW of solar power projects in 2017.
Total electricity sales volume was approximately 2,355 million kWh, a significant increase of 106.6% compared to 1,140 million kWh in the prior year period.
As a result, GCLNE said that its operating profit in the reporting period would be around RMB450 million (67.4 million), up from RMB147 million (US$22 million) in the prior year period.

With the vast majority of cumulative installed capacity located in China, GCLNE reported that its aggregate installed capacity increased by approximately 71%, compared to approximately 3.5GW at the end of 2016.
However, the company also reported that grid-connected capacity in China and overseas on consolidated basis increased by approximately 77%, up from approximately 3.1GW at the end of 2016 to approximately 5.5GW at the end of 2017.
GCLNE said it expected to record an anticipated profit of not less than RMB 850,000,000 (US$130.7 million) in 2017, up from RMB 309,399,000 in the previous year.
The company noted that improved profitability was primarily due to the sale of a non-core electronics company and greater O&M operational performance in the reporting period.

Subsequent to the end of the reporting period, GCL-Poly has obtained consent from the relevant lender to waive the
financial covenant concerned and not to demand for immediate repayment of such bank borrowings. Notwithstanding
this, reclassification of long-term borrowings of approximately RMB1,963 million as current liabilities is still required
at 30 June 2019 under applicable accounting standard because the bank waiver was obtained subsequent to the end
of the reporting period.
The Company is undertaking a number of financing plans and other measures as described in note 1A to the unaudited
condensed interim consolidated financial statements in order to ensure it is able to meet its commitments in the next
twelve months. The directors of the Company are of the opinion that based on the assumptions that these financing
plans and other measures can be successfully executed, the Group will have sufficient working capital to finance
its operations and to pay its financial obligations as and when they fall due in the foreseeable future. However, the
likelihood of successful implementation of these financing plans and other measures, including the Group’s and GCLPoly’s ongoing compliance with their borrowing covenants, and along with other matters as set forth in note 1A to the
unaudited condensed interim consolidated financial statements, indicate that a material uncertainty exists that may
cast significant doubt on the Group’s ability to continue as a going concern. Our conclusion is not modified in respect
of this matter.

Ich bin von dem Unternehmen überzeugt, dass sich hier was gutes entwickeln wird.
Schon allein solche Ideen auch technisch umzusetzen und zu Patentieren und ein gewisses Risiko akzeptiert wird ist lobenswert.
Nur mal das hier zum Beispiel, ist direkt auf der Hompage von GCL zu entnehmen:
Die Gewächshausstruktur für die photovoltaische Landwirtschaft von GCL New Energy hat ein nationales Gebrauchsmusterpatent (Patent Nr.: 201620369872.X) erhalten. Die Lösung bietet Retroreflektoren im Raum zwischen Photovoltaikmodulen, um mehr Sonnenschein in das Gewächshaus zu lenken und das Wachstum von Pflanzen zu fördern. Dies kann Probleme im Zusammenhang mit der Beleuchtung von Photovoltaik-Schuppen und -Anlagen wirksam lösen.
Wenn man hier weiterspinnt, wie z.B das solche Systeme in der Wüste einsetzt und dann unter den Anlagen das kondensierende Morgentauwasser einsammelt hätte man Energie und Wasser zusammen in der Wüste.
Hoffentlich gehen die Ideen niemals aus.

Über den kleinen Zuwachs freue ich mich bereits jetzt schon.
Und in diesem Markt verspreche ich mir persönlich sehr viel.

Ich habe immer noch GCL Poly Energy im Depot wo der Handel seit langem ausgesetzt ist. Werden diese später hier einfließen oder ist die Kohle futsch?
