Hi,
so wie ich das deute: ein finanztechnischer Kunstgriff, vom Gericht genehmigt. Ziel der Aktion soll es sein, auch weiterhin Dividenden ausschütten zu können. Sich damit auseinander zu setzen braucht viel Zeit. Da bleibe ich doch lieber beim Chart und der sieht zur Zeit verdammt gut aus.

PCCW, the largest fixed-line operator in Hong Kong, may trigger a new price war in the hotly competitive 3G mobile phone market with its offer of a free third-generation handset and up to 10,000 minutes of free airtime a month.
PCCW, which bought control of Sunday Communications, the smallest mobile operator in Hong Kong, for HK$1.5 billion last June, launched its new 3G service, PCCW Mobile, Tuesday, offering qualifying customers a free six-month trial 3G service and a camera-equipped handset made by Huawei Technologies. The offer includes up to 10,000 minutes of free local airtime per month and unlimited high- speed transmission for 3G browsing.
"We want to be the No1 in the mobile market in terms of the highest profitability," said PCCW executive director Alex Arena. "We hope that we will achieve the goal [in] not more than two to three years."
The free-trial offer is similar to PCCW`s campaign two years ago for its NOW Broadband pay-TV service, in which new customers got a choice of a free set-top box or a DVD player.
Arena insisted PCCW wouldn`t try to grab market share by cutting prices, hoping instead to hook customers during the long trial period.
A PCCW source said the company will have enough handsets to take on as many as one million trial customers.
The company won`t unveil the tariff plan for its new 3G service until the trial period ends, he said.
Even so, other mobile carriers are expecting a new round of price-cutting will break out in both data and voice service.
"It`s definitely a new price war," said Patrick Chan, executive director of SmarTone-Vodafone. "However, it doesn`t mean we need to change our strategy."
China Resources Peoples Telephone executive vice chairman Michael Leung concurred, adding that a new price war will end up hurting the profitability of all six mobile operators in Hong Kong.
It "will be harmful to us deeply," Leung said, "whether we elect to join or not."
China Resources Peoples Telephone, a mobile operator without a 3G licence, was acquired by China Mobile last year.
Analysts said PCCW`s strategy won`t come cheap, though it could lead to PCCW signing up a significant number of customers.
"We expect PCCW could win at least 200,000 customers on the campaign, however, [it] would cost over HK$400 million based on around HK$2,000 in subsidies per handset," a local brokerage telecoms analyst said.
PCCW owns 79.35 percent of Sunday after failing last month to win shareholder approval to buy all the remaining stock in the company.
Arena said the 3G service will carry the PCCW brand name, while Sunday`s moniker will continue to be attached to the 2G operation.
However, "Sunday will act as PCCW`s capacity and network provider," he said.
