Hallo Leute,

Ich würde Asiainfo für krasst unterbewertet einstufen.

Über 148 Mill. Cashbestand und keinerlei langfristigen oder kurzfristigen Schulden. Ein Wachstumsunternehmen der nur 177 Mill. bewertet.

Die Bewertung fast nur so hoch wie Cash vorhanden ist.

Ich habe mir noch einige zugelegt. Bei der nächsten Good News sehen wir ganz andere Kurse. Am liebsten zweistellig.


Vergisst nicht wo die Aktie bei über 40 $ war haben die Leute gekuft wie verrückt.

Es ist eigentlich heute die Zeit zum kaufen.

Wie das immer so wird werden heute die wenigsten kaufen. Die meisten werden aufspringen wenn es zweitstellig geworden ist. Wie immer also. Es soll uns die Vorreiter nicht stören.

Ich würde mich nicht an die 4 klammenrn. Schau dir mal den Bereich um 3,70 an. Irgendwo da ist der Boden. Seid letztem Sommer schwabbelt der Kurs zw. 4 und 6 Dollar. Ich will die mal wieder bei 8 oder 12 sehen.

AsiaInfo Holdings Receives Data System Contract From China Telecom Unit


NEW YORK (AP) -- AsiaInfo Holdings Inc., a provider of telecom software, security products and services in China, said Thursday that it received a contract from a China Telecom unit to build a data system.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The company said it will use its business intelligence software to build a data application system to enhance Chongqing Telecom`s ability to manage customer data and market intelligence. Chongqing`s capabilities have been hindered by different data models among its systems, AsiaInfo said.

The company said the contract will expand its presence in the fixed-network market.

AsiaInfo shares rose 13 cents, or 3.2 percent, to $4.22 in premarket trading.

NEW YORK (AP) -- AsiaInfo Holdings Inc. on Thursday said it agreed to acquire Shanghai Changjiang Technology Development Co.`s telecommunications operation support group, continuing its plan to focus on core business.

Financial terms were not disclosed. AsiaInfo shares rose 13 cents, or 3.2 percent, to $4.22 in premarket trading.

The company, which provides telecom software, security products and services in China, said it will purchase certain assets and the business contract backlog, and will gain license rights to certain software.

"This acquisition will further strengthen our position as one of China`s leading telecom software solutions providers, specifically increasing our overall share in the China Unicom market," said Steve Zhang, AsiaInfo president and chief executive, in a statement.

China Unicom Ltd., a state-controlled national telecom service provider, is one of AsiaInfo`s largest customers.

AsiaInfo has realigned its operations to focus on core business lines, recently selling certain noncore businesses and acquiring Zheda Lande Scitech Ltd.`s telecom operation support group to enhance its telecom software offerings.

Es handelt sich dabei um das Segment Telecommunications Operation Support des chinesischen Unternehmens Shanghai Changjiang Technology Development Company Ltd. Heute wurden sich dann beide Unternehmen handelseinig. AsiaInfo übernimmt nach Abschluss der Akquisition sämtliche noch ausstehende Aufträge von Changjiang und erhält sämtliche Lizenzen, die mit dem entsprechenden Unternehmensbereich verbunden sind. Über die Höhe des Kaufpreises wurde hingegen nichts bekannt gegeben.


Laut Steve Zhang, CEO von AsiaInfo, stärkt die Akquisition die Position des Unternehmens als ein Anbieter von Telekommunikationssoftware in China. AsiaInfo will so langfristig das eigene Kundenspektrum verbreitern und somit auch den Marktanteil erhöhen. Wann die Übernahme abgeschlossen sein wird, wurde derweil nicht bekannt gegeben. (kat/rem)

a) der Buchwert liegt bei 4,33 US Dollar
b) asiainfo hat cash 148 Mio. US Dollar - dazu liegt die Marktkapitalisierung gerade mal bei 173 Mio. US Dollar
c) charttechnisch ist das kleine Gap down sicher schnell geschlossen - die Gap- Trader werden schon dafür sorgen
d) in der Panik haben sicher die letzten nervösen Anleger verkauft
e) das vierte Quartal macht noch lange nicht das ganze Jahr
f) interessant ist der Ausblick
g) der Gesamtmarkt will nach oben
h) ich einen langen Anlagehorizont habe
i) die letzten Geschäfte nicht so ganz transparent waren - was wurde eigentlich für die Übernahme bezahlt (Aktien und Cash) - was wurde sonst noch vereinbart? - da kann man nur orakeln und sich seinen Teil denken

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) -- AsiaInfo Holdings Inc., a software provider for telecom companies, said Wednesday that its board authorized the company to buy back up to 9 percent of its outstanding shares.
The company said it can repurchase up to 4 million outstanding shares over a 90-day period. AsiaInfo has about 46.9 million shares outstanding.

The repurchased shares will go into its treasury and will be used to finance acquisitions, equity incentive plans, or for other purposes, the company said.

AsiaInfo Q4 Net Revenue Takes 18% Dip

AsiaInfo (ASIA) has announced fourth quarter and full year results for the period ended December 31, 2005.

Net revenue for the fourth quarter was US$16.5 million, a decrease of 20% year-over-year and a 18% decrease sequentially.

The company says the shortfall in net revenue for the quarter was the result of significantly lower than expected shipment volume for the Lenovo-AsiaInfo business unit`s security products.

Steve Zhang, AsiaInfo`s President and Chief Executive Officer, said, "Clearly the disappointing performance of the Lenovo-AsiaInfo security business significantly impacted our results this quarter. We have initiated an inquiry into the issues that affected performance at Lenovo-AsiaInfo during the fourth quarter and we may take further actions as appropriate based upon the results of our inquiry. We believe that with its new management team, Lenovo-AsiaInfo has a strong future as the market for security products and services in China continues to grow rapidly."

Gross revenues for the fourth quarter were US$19.8 million, representing a decrease of 31% year-over-year and a decrease of 15% sequentially.

Gross margins declined to 24% in the fourth quarter compared to 39% in the year-ago period and 47% in the previous quarter.

Revenue from software products and solutions for the fourth quarter was US$12.7 million, a decrease of 17% from the year-ago period and a decrease of 15% sequentially. Service revenue was US$3.7 million, a 24% decrease year-
over-year and a 25% sequential decrease. Third-party hardware revenue in the quarter fell to US$3.5 million as the company continued its focus on high margin software products and solutions.

During the fourth quarter, the Lenovo-AsiaInfo business unit`s contribution to the company`s net revenue was nominal due to the business unit`s revenue shortfall. Lenovo-AsiaInfo contributed 26% to the company`s net revenue in the previous quarter.

Due to the disappointing performance of the Lenovo-AsiaInfo business unit, AsiaInfo recorded a US$21.2 million non-cash charge for impairment of goodwill and acquired intangible assets for the fourth quarter. Reflecting this charge, operating loss was US$29.5 million, compared to an operating profit of US$0.6 million in the year-ago period and an operating loss of US$0.8 million in the previous quarter.

Net loss from continuing operations for the fourth quarter was US$28.1 million, or US$0.61 per basic share. Net income in the year-ago period was US$1.2 million, or US$0.03 per basic share, and US$1.5 million or US$0.03 per basic share in the previous quarter.

Kurzfristig (innerhalb der nächsten 3 Monate) sehe ich einen Widerstand bei ca. 4,75 US Dollar. Kann der Widerstand überwunden werden, ist der Weg frei bis auf 5,50 bis ca. 6 US Dollar. Kleine Rücksätzer mal vernachlässigt.
Zur Zeit hält sich das Interesse an der Aktie in Grenzen. Das kann man schön am Money Flow Index (MFI) und dem Wallstreet Online Indikator (WOI = Anzahl Postings hier im Board ) sehen.

Der Widerstand bei ca. 4,75 ist zur Unterstützung geworden. Oft (aber nicht immer ) geht es vor der Fortsetzung der Aufwärtsbewegung noch mal bis zur Unterstützung zurück.
Charttechnik (langfristig): den näschten beachtenswerten Widerstand sehe ich bei 10 US Dollar. In 2002 hatten die nicht gehalten und es ging mit Getöse bergab (riesen Gap und folgendem Kursvelust von ca. 50 Prozent in ca. 4 Wochen).

AsiaInfo: Nettogewinn und Umsatz sinken

PEKING - AsiaInfo Inc. (Nasdaq: ASIA, WKN: 935314) musste im ersten Quartal des laufenden Geschäftsjahres 2006 Umsatz einbüßen.

Zwar stieg der Bruttoumsatz im Vergleich zum Vorjahresquartal um drei Prozent auf 27,5 Mio. US-Dollar, der Nettoumsatz verringerte sich jedoch um fünf Prozent und erreichte lediglich 19,7 Mio. Dollar. Grund hierfür war unter anderem eine von 41 Prozent auf 36 Prozent gesunkene Bruttomarge. Das Telekomgeschäft habe jedoch im ersten Quartal eine starke Performance gezeigt, erklärte Steve Zhang, Präsident und CEO von AsiaInfo. In diesem Markt erwarte man noch ein hohes Wachstumspotential. Der Nettogewinn des anhaltenden operativen Geschäfts betrug im ersten Quartal 0,4 Mio. Dollar oder ein Cent pro Aktie, nachdem dieser Wert im Vorjahr bei 1,7 Mio. Dollar oder vier Cent pro Aktie lag.


Hauptumsatztreiber im ersten Quartal waren Softwareprodukte und -lösungen, welche mit 16,1 Mio. Dollar und damit vier Prozent mehr als im Vorjahr zum Gesamtumsatz beitrugen. Der Umsatz aus Services schlug lediglich mit 3,2 Mio. Dollar zu Buche, dies entspricht jedoch einer Steigerung von 34 Prozent im Vergleich zum Vorjahr. Der Hardware-Bereich verzeichnete im Berichtszeitraum eine Umsatzsteigerung von 29 Prozent auf 8,2 Mio. Dollar. (cdr/rem)

BEIJING (AFX) - Telecom software provider AsiaInfo Holdings (Nachrichten) Inc said it has signed contracts with China Mobile (Nachrichten) to construct network support management systems for China Mobile and six of its provincial subsidiaries.

The system will be rolled out in Guangdong, Sichuan, Guizhou, Jiangxi, Shanghai and Shandong, AsiaInfo said in a statement.

The network support management system includes features such as a data collection and management platform, comprehensive business monitoring and report management.

No financial details were provided.

AsiaInfo began operations in Delaware before moving major operations to China in 1995. The firm in 2004 purchased PC maker Lenovo's non-telecom related IT services business.

BEIJING - Um den Marktanteil in China weiter auszubauen, ist AsiaInfo Inc. (Nasdaq: ASIA, WKN: 935314) eine Allianz mit der Shanghai E-mice Information Technology Company eingegangen. Diese sieht vor, dass AsiaInfo die Callcenter, das Customer Relationship Management und die Business Support-Unit von E-mice erwirbt.

Zudem kauft AsiaInfo einen Teil der Aktien von der GCTech Company und wird ebenfalls Geschäftsbereiche übernehmen, darunter die Telekommunikations-Software-Sparte. In diesem Sektor erhält AsiaInfo dann auch die bestehenden Verträge mit China Netcom und China Telecom. Durch die Übernahme einzelner Dienste von E-mice bekommt AsiaInfo auch den Mobilfunkbetreiber Shanghai Mobile als Kunden.


Neben den Kunden wird AsiaInfo auch Teile der Belegschaft beider Unternehmen übernehmen. Die Kosten der Vereinbarung belaufen sich für AsiaInfo auf insgesamt 3,5 Mio. US-Dollar. Schon im letzten Geschäftsjahr waren die Hauptumsatztreiber von AsiaInfo Softwareprodukte und -lösungen sowie Services. Hier realisierte das Unternehmen Umsatzanstiege von mehr als 30 Prozent. Durch die Erweiterung des Boss-Systems um die vierten Stufe will Zhejiang Mobile eigene Kernfunktionen unterstützen und zudem neue Dienste besser integrieren. In allen Kundensegmenten sollen so Abrechnungsprozesse, die Überwachung von internen Abläufen und weitere Geschäftsvorgänge vereinfacht werden.


Genaue Informationen über die Höhe des Auftrags oder dessen Abschluss gab AsiaInfo hingegen nicht bekannt. Verschiedene chinesische Mobilfunkanbieter stehen schon länger in einem verschärften Wettbewerb zueinander. Durch die geplante Einführung von 3G-Diensten könnte dieser Wettbewerb noch zunehmen. Asia befindet nähe des Alltime- Lows. Die Frage ist: wann der langfristige Aufwärtstrend einsetzt?! Den Punkt kann man nach meiner Meinung mit Glück und geschickten Stopp Buys erwischen oder einfach langfrisig investiert sein (vielleicht sogar akkumulieren?) - das Kapital liegt dann nur so rum.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) -- AsiaInfo Holdings Inc., a provider of telecom software and security products in China, said Thursday it agreed to upgrade business support systems for several of telecommunications company China Telecom's subsidiaries.
Financial terms of the deal were undisclosed.

The subsidiaries are in Henan, Shanxi, Tianjin and Heilongjian.

AsiaInfo has also worked on projects for nine China Telecom subsidiaries in North China.

PEKING - AsiaInfo Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: ASIA, WKN: 935314) konnte sich im alten Geschäftsjahr noch einen Neuauftrag sichern. Dabei wird der chinesische Anbieter von Telekommunikationslösungen und IT-Produkten für verschiedene Niederlassungen der China Telecom Gruppe tätig.

In den Regionen Henan, Shanxi, Tianjin und Heilongijang soll AsiaInfo demnach das Business Support-System (BSS) von China Telecom aufrüsten. Im Rahmen des Auftrags erweitert China Telecom die Kapazität des bestehenden BSS-Systems. So sollen in Zukunft mehr Mehrwertdienste angeboten, sowie die Effizienz verschiedener Sparten gesteigert werden.

Über finanzielle Details des Auftrags wurde zunächst nichts bekannt.

AsiaInfo's (ASIA) first quarter results for the period ended March 31, 2007 surpassed previous guidance and accumulated net income of US$6.4 million.

"Healthy growth in our core telecom software solution business led to guidance-beating earnings in the first quarter," said Steve Zhang, AsiaInfo's president and CEO. "We saw strong uptake of our industry leading BOSS and BI software and we continued to develop innovative solutions that help telecom operators introduce new services and differentiate their offerings."

Net revenue for the first quarter of 2007 was US$23.5 million, an increase of 25% year-over-year, and a decrease of 7% sequentially.

Net income from continuing operations for the first quarter of 2007 was US$5.0 million, or US$0.12 per basic share. This compares to US$0.1 million in the year-ago period, and US$1.9 million or US$0.05 per basic share in the previous quarter. Net income from continuing operations included US$2.7 million other operating income. This income relates to a Settlement Agreement that AsiaInfo entered into with Lenovo Group Limited to resolve certain matters arising out of the Acquisition Agreement dated July 27, 2004 and an Escrow Agreement dated October 19, 2004 between the company and Lenovo.

Gross revenue for the first quarter of 2007 was US$30.1 million, 13% higher than the year ago period and down 6% sequentially. Gross margins were 43% in the first quarter of 2007 compared to 36% in the year-ago period and 42% in the previous quarter.

Total operating expenses for the first quarter of 2007 were US$12.1 million, an increase of 17% year-over-year and a 1% decrease sequentially. Lenovo-AsiaInfo contributed 21% to total operating expenses before corporate general and administrative charges for the first quarter of 2007. Of the total operating expenses, R&D expenses for the first quarter of 2007 were US$4.1 million, an increase of 28% from the year-ago period and 10% from the previous quarter.

In the first quarter, AsiaInfo recorded a total net income of US$6.4 million. This is compared to net income of US$0.4 million in the year-ago period and US$2.1 million in the previous quarter, inclusive of the impact of discontinued operations during those periods.

As of March 31, 2007, AsiaInfo had total cash and cash equivalents including restricted cash and short-term investment of US$166.3 million, an increase of approximately US$3.2 million from December 31, 2006.

Gross margin was 50% in the third quarter of 2007 compared to 43% in the year-ago period and 49% in the previous quarter. Gross margin as a percent of net revenue was 55% compared to 51% in the year-ago period and 54% in the previous quarter.

AsiaInfo's telecom business recorded another quarter of steady growth, with net revenue up 19% year-over-year, and 7% sequentially. Net revenue for the Lenovo-AsiaInfo business unit increased 76% year-over-year, and 42% sequentially. Total operating expenses for the third quarter of 2007 were US$13.0 million, an increase of 19% year-over-year and a 2% decrease sequentially. Lenovo-AsiaInfo contributed 24% to total operating expenses before corporate general and administrative charges for the third quarter of 2007.

As of September 30, 2007, AsiaInfo had cash and cash equivalents, restricted cash and short term investments totaling US$174.4 million, representing a sequential increase of 6% operating cash flow in the third quarter of 2007 was a net inflow of approximately US$2.4 million.
