GE's stock takes a dive after disclosing receipt of 'Wells notice' from SEC staff
https://www.marketwatch.com/story/ges-stock-takes-a-dive-aft…
Shares of General Electric Co. took a dive in afternoon trading Tuesday, after the industrial conglomerate disclosed that it received a "Wells notice" from the Securities and Exchange Commission related to an investigation into revenue recognition practices.
The notice advises GE that the SEC staff is considering recommending a civil injunctive action against the company for possible violations of securities laws. The stock sank 3.2%, after being up about 1.6% just before the disclosure.
The SEC's investigation comes after GE shocked investors in January 2018 by saying it was taking a multibillion charge following a review of GE Capital's insurance portfolio. The scope of the investigation was expanded after GE's announcement in October 2018 of a goodwill impairment charge related to its power business...

JP. Morgan Analyst TUSA bleibt neutral gem. Seeking Alpha vom 17.9.2020 :
"It's a two-day rally for GE, but JPMorgan's Tusa not impressed
Sep. 17, 2020 1:10 PM ET|About: General Electric Company (GE)|By: Stephen Alpher, SA News Editor
"Stepping back high level, this sounded to us like more of the same, with a ‘bad today, but better tomorrow’ message, but with little tangible evidence of recovery across the businesses," says JPMorgan analyst Stephen Tusa.
Tusa is referring to comments yesterday from GE CEO Larry Culp, when he said the company should be cash flow positive in H2. Shares gained nearly 11% yesterday after that news.
Tusa says Culp's comments are an improvement over previous "vague communication" on cash flows, but notes consensus forecasts were already for $2B in FCF in H2.
Tusa: "We struggle to understand the [share price] reaction." He continues with a Neutral rating on the stock."
In meinen Portfolios bleibe ich long gem.
