bulk sample steckt im malawi fest
no signifikant news before mid 2014...

Confusion and delay
NIOBIUM-hopeful Globe Metals & Mining is aiming to de-risk itself by finding a second project featuring an easy to process and produce commodity, and transparent market. Sounds sensible, but is there now a little bit of writing on the wall, so to speak, for Globe’s Kanyika niobium project?

Antwort auf Beitrag Nr.: 45.828.102 von sliceanddice am 13.11.13 21:43:34unkehrschluss ist natürlich die starke untermauerung der these, dass die
kombination...
bfs (mehrjährige analyse, konstruktionspläne, etc...)
+aktuelle niob/tantal preise
+malawi wunschkonzert

China will / braucht das Niobium.

Kanyika miner wants agreement review
October 24, 2013 Kingsley Jassi
Globe Metals, an Australian listed mining company that intends to mine niobium and tantalum at Kanyika in Mzimba, says the draft Development Agreement by government in June needs significant review and negotiations.
This comes as the civil society organisations, opposition parties and development partners have been concerned by weak negotiation capacity on mining deals by government which involved a UK based mining law firm.
In its annual report released last week signed by the company’s chairman Yi Shao, Globe said it will be discussing with the government on the proposed document in the next quarter.
Minister of Mining John Bande said the government is open for discussion with Globe Metals on the agreement. He said the government is waiting for a response from Globe and discussions will continue until a fruitful agreement is made.
“What we want is the best for the country and the company as well. We were hoping to have the agreement finalised but Globe is yet to give us a response from our earlier communication,” said Bande.
Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Mines, Leonard Kalindekafe, said the agreement process was supposed to be finalised this month (October).
The government involved several experts from outside the country, especially the British mining law experts, to strengthen the team that negotiates with Globe Metals before signing for the agreement for the 20 year lifespan mine.
Globe Metals said the Development Agreement requires significant assessment.
“The current requirement within the Development Agreement for many subsidiary agreements will require significant assessment. The next round of Development Agreement negotiations has not yet been determined but should be scheduled in the coming quarter,” says the company’s report.
According to the company, the initial niobium ore mining rate for the proposed mining is estimated at 1.5 million tonnes per year possibly increasing to 3 million tonnes per year to produce 3,000 tonnes per year of niobium metal.
Globe has since reduced expenses for its other operations by 43 percent to concentrate the development of Kanyika Niobium.
