Eieieieieiei!!! Jetzt wird´s spannend Und es sieht gerade NICHT gut aus .

GGG hat einen Trading Halt beantragt, da es Berichte in grönländischen Medien gibt, dass Kvanefjelt von der neuen Regierung NICHT genehmigt werden wird, weil es zu nah an Ortschaften liegt. Allerdings wäre die Förderung als Beiprodukt dadurch nicht vom Tisch. GGG will das erst bestätigen (oder hoffentlich dementieren!) bevor der Handel weiter geht.

Greenland Minerals and Energy is urgently trying to clarify reports that plans to develop its Kvanefjeld rare earths deposit have been rejected by Greenland's new government.

The reports also suggested, however, that the Inuit Ataqatigiit-led coalition has shifted its 20-year-old stance of a total ban on uranium mining.

Ove Karl Berthelsen, Minister for Commerce and Raw Materials in the tiny, 57,000-strong Greenland community, was quoted as saying the Kvanefjeld project could not go ahead because it was too close to the town of Narsaq and the risk of "radioactive pollution" was too high.

The coalition agreement supports the development of non-living natural resources - mining - but not at the cost of the environment.

"This means that we are willing to consider the development of uranium as a byproduct, subject to certain conditions," Mr Berthelsen said in the report.

Greenland Minerals and Energy managing director Rod McIllree, who is in Narsaq for the start of the exploration season and has been lobbying the Government to change its stance, did not comment. It is believed, however, that the company has not even applied for a mining permit at Kvanefjeld yet because it is still exploring the deposit. Before the recent election, Mr McIllree made it known that the company was spending far less on exploration this year due to the uncertainty over whether it would be able to mine uranium.

The company is styling Kvanefjeld as a massive rare earths project, a potential alternative source to China for the minerals used in making flatscreens, iPods and other electronic equipment.

A week ago, Greenland Minerals and Energy told the market its updated resource estimate for Kvanefjeld was 4.8 million tonnes of ore, about 10 per cent of which was rare earths with 120,000 tonnes of uranium.

The company on Tuesday suspended trading in its shares - which had run up from less than 20¢ to more than 50¢ following a capital raising and in anticipation of a changed exploration environment - while it sought clarification from the Greenland Government.

Greenland was formally handed over to self-rule by Denmark at the weekend, although the Danish Government retains the right to receive half of any mining or petroleum royalties to offset the financial assistance it provides to Greenland.

Mahlzeit,

ich hätte mal eine Frage an die Experten hier, die den Wert schon länger intensiv verfolgen:
a) REO: ist denn 1% wirtschaftlich abbaubar - hat da jemand ideen/informationen??
b) Der Cashbestand reicht ja bei gut 2.5Mio/quarter noch gut ein Jahr - sehe ich das richtig, oder ist da bei der Feasibility Study in Q3 ein grösserer Einmalbetrag fällig?? Wieviel Einsparung ist denn bei der "freiwilligen" Gehaltsreduzierung zu erwarten??
c) Sehe ich das richtig, dass es ca. doppelt soviele options/warrants zu 0.2AUD gibt als im Moment outstandig Shares?? - ich hatte im Bericht nix gefunden, wann die eventl. fällig werden
d) RMIN, aufgrund des Zitats - sehe ich das so, dass man davon ausgehen kann, dass die Fa. gute Kontakte zur Führung Grönlands hat?? Wie siehst Du da politische Situation. Es hängt ja wohl viel (alles) davon ab, ob U als Byproduct erlaubt ist/wird.

Schön auch hier von Dir zu hören. Wäre schön ab und zu Deine Meinung zu hören, interessant wären da besonders die zur Mineralogie und Aufarbeitung. Da fehlt uns eindeutig die Expertise!


Wie RMIN schon sagte, hört sich das Update ja sehr positiv an. Die wichtigsten Enzscheidungen sind für mich immer noch !. die (positive) Beendigung der Uranabbau-Debatte und 2. die PFS. Ein paar Statements zu weiteren Planungen seitens GGG (jährliche Abbaumenge, Produktionsstart, ...) wären allerdings auch nicht schlecht.
Am 21. Juni erhält Grönland weitgehende Autonomie von Dänemark zusammen mit den Nutzungsrechten an den Bodenschätzen. Eine Entscheidung Pro/Kontra Uranabbau steht leider jetzt noch nicht an (wenn ich das richtig verstehe).
