Wo könnte eures Erachtens der Kurs stehen, wenn zevalin ins Laufen kommt sowie eoquin erfolgreich wird?

Himmel! Ich sehe oft rosarot, aber dann kann ich nur meine jenseitige Zahl sagen ---> damit wäre Spectrum ganz sicher 2 MRD Dollar wert... +60 Dollar

Ich habe nach Research ja vor allem aufgrund von eoquin gekauft.

zevalin ist toll, wenn Sie es ans Laufen bekommen.

Ich glaube auch, dass ein Großteil, welche auf ein Absprung gewartet haben, jetzt raus sind.

Wo könnte eures Erachtens der Kurs stehen, wenn zevalin ins Laufen kommt sowie eoquin erfolgreich wird?

Neues von Adam Feuerstein. Bei $1,54 war er nicht optimistisch, bei $4,05 sagt er Gewinne mitnehmen und auf die Entscheidung über Zevalin warten.

Tja lieber Adam. Wenn man auf Dich hören würde dann wäre Spectrum jetzt immer noch bei $1,54.
Nur mal so am Rande bemerkt, vor November letzten Jahres wußten Aktionäre bei Spectrum nichtmal wie Zevalin geschrieben wird!

Einfach total idiotisch und dumm, die Zukunft eines Unternehmens an einem Medikament festmachen zu wollen das man relativ günstig eingekauft hat.

Spectrum Pharmaceuticals ist nicht abhängig vom Erfolg von Zevalin.

Wenn sich Zevalin zum Hauptumsatzbringer entwickeln sollte, dann könnte man in einem späteren Verlauf davon sprechen. Im Moment sprechen wir von 11 Mio Dollar Umsatz - letztes Jahr.

Rick K. writes, "You should have pulled the trigger on Spectrum Pharmaceuticals(SPPI Quote). Now what?"

Rick is referring to a cautious write-up I gave to Spectrum in my biotech newsletter March 11. Spectrum recently purchased 100% rights to a clinically effective but commercially disappointing cancer drug called Zevalin. Three previous drug companies have tried but failed to turn Zevalin into a commercial success, so now it's Spectrum's turn.

I'm interested in watching how Spectrum performs, especially if the FDA signs off affirmatively on an expansion of Zevalin's label in July. But I'm also a realist and question whether tiny Spectrum can do any better with Zevalin than its previous owners.

With that said, I decided not to add Spectrum to my newsletter's model portfolio on March 11 when the stock was trading at $1.54. On Thursday, Spectrum was closed at $4.07.

As Rick points out, clearly I missed the boat on this one.

I'm not sure how to explain Spectrum's recent run. Insiders have been buying stock, which helps, as is a more general bump in highly speculative biotech and drug stocks recently. It's still too early to judge Spectrum's success with Zevalin.

As for Rick's "Now what?" question, I guess I'd be taking some profits on this recent jump in the stock price but hold onto a position in case the FDA decision on Zevalin in July is positive.

A three-month delay in the PDUFA decision date to 7/2/09 was announced on 2/23/09 as SPPI submitted additional data to the FDA, which was classified as a major amendment to the sBLA filing. SPPI also has a pending sNDA for Fusilev (levoleucovorin) for Injection to expand use of the drug in combination with 5-FU containing regimens in advanced metastatic colorectal cancer. The PDUFA decision date for the sNDA is 10/8/09.
