In diesem Zusammenhang muss aus unserer Sicht jedoch auch die zugelassene und durch klinische Daten belegte Anwendungszeit unter Berücksichtigung der maximalen Adsorptionskapazität, d. h. sichere und sinnvolle Behandlungsdauer, pro Adsorber in Betracht gezogen werden.
Die maximale Behandlungszeit pro CytoSorb-Adsorber ist mit 24 h ausgewiesen [ 7]. Die Adsorber von Biosky können maximal 3‑mal täglich mit 120–180 min pro Adsorber eingesetzt werden [ 1]. Eine Hämoperfusionsbehandlung mit dem HA-330 sollte laut Gebrauchsanweisung in der Regel zwischen 120–150 min dauern [ 17]. Jafron- und Biosky-Adsorber sind damit bei bestimmungsgemäßer Anwendung im Rahmen der CE-Zulassung zeitlich nur beschränkt und intermittierend einsetzbar, während mit dem CytoSorb-Adsorber prinzipiell eine kontinuierliche Therapie über 24 h an 7 konsekutiven Tagen durchführbar wäre. Aus diesem Grund können bisher auch keine Rückschlüsse auf die wahrscheinlich bestehenden Unterschiede in der maximalen Adsorbtionskapazität getroffen werden.
Sollte eine kontinuierliche Behandlung klinisch sinnvoll sein, wäre dies, zur Vermeidung einer Abweichung von den Spezifikationen der Bedienungsanleitung und somit einer Off-label-Anwendung, mit Jafron- und Biosky-Adsorbern nur mit häufigerem Adsorberwechsel (d. h. höheren Tagestherapiekosten) und erhöhtem Personalaufwand möglich. Dies würde letztendlich einen Kostenvorteil, mit dem die Adsorber von Jafron und Biosky im Markt beworben werden, zunichtemachen oder sogar ins Gegenteil verkehren. Hinzu kommt ein nicht abzuschätzendes Zusatzrisiko für den Patienten durch häufigeres Abhängen des CRRT-Systems und vermehrten Adsorberwechsel (Hygiene, Blutverlust) sowie die potenziellen klinischen Nachteile einer intermittierenden Therapie aus vorher bereits erwähnter Adsorbtionskapazität.

Hier mal ein aktueller Bericht über die Uniklinik Hamburg und die CAR-T-Zellen-Therapie dort; Minute 16.50 bis 23.30 des Beitrags. BARDA dürfte laut diesem Artikel aus der New York Times nun eher unwahrscheinlich sein und anscheinend konzentriert man sich seitens der Regierung auf Vaccine (Cytosorbents ist hier auch genannt und ein statement von Dr. Chan aufgeführt):

Nächste Woche Dienstag HV, seitens Barda wird wohl auch irgendwann eine Meldung kommen und die EUA in Indien hat nun CTSO noch nicht einmal selber per Ad-Hoc veröffentlicht (schon komisch, dass hier der Vertriebspartner eine News raushaut und seitens der Gesellschaft keine Ad-Hoc kommt). Die Q2-Zahlen will man als potentieller Käufer doch nicht unbedingt abwarten. Es könnte also ein heisser Juni werden. Alles nur meine Meinung !
