Antwort auf Beitrag Nr.: 41.025.161 von Dicker69 am 11.02.11 15:21:00User Mattbigham bringt es auf dem Punkt.....:eek: Nur Geduld und nicht Verrückt machen lassen....

......AUN will be pumping out so much cash at Shafter /LN you will forget the bad days of dilution and what could have been.

at $30 silver AUN will be producing $12.75 million per month of pure silver, alone.
Add in 100,000 oz Ag Eq per month of base metal credits from La Negra.

That is $15.75 million per month
      .

$50 silver? $26.25 million per month. A year? $315 million.

P.19 Early production from construction of new decline will stockpile 50,000 + tons @8 grams per ton for 400,000 oz silver.

The first blast for the portal is this Wednesday. When can we expect sufficient ore to be stockpiled for milling?

When will the milling facilities construction be completed and will AUN effectively begin production at that time-within months now? Enquiring mines want to know. Anybody going to PDAC?

It states that at 1500 tpd La Negra/AUN is a 2.4 million oz Ag Eq producer.

We know that AUN is operating at 1600 tpd (Lenic quote) and is mining more efficiently and targeting higher grade silver areas in the La Negra ore bodies.

For comparison,Great Panther Silver is an 2.25 million Ag Eq producer running out of two mines.

Great Panther is projecting a target of combined mines production for 2.87 million oz for 2011 while Shafter will be online and AUN is projecting 5 million oz pure silver or 6.0 million oz Ag Eq production in 2012.

AUN has 327 million shares outstanding now and 450m total o/s.

GPR has 123 million now and 131m total o/s.

So,AUN has triple the shares outstanding right now with greater production output.

AUN may eventually have 3.5 times the shares outstanding but will have between 3.8 and 4 million oz Ag Eq production over and above GPR's 2010 record production of 2.25 million oz Ag Eq.

      GPR was $2.68 H yesterday.

      AUN is .66 open today.

Four million additional oz of production at today' price of silver equates to 120 million dollars for the 200 million additional shares AUN is presently holding.

In one year (or less ) AUN will near triple GPR's entire 2010 production.

We should trade above .90 based on production and shares outstanding (today) vs. GPR .

However,AUN is producing more than GPR today and will triple total production within a year and produce four times the silver of 2010 with 5 million oz silver production- $6.4 million oz eq total.

Within a year, based on this simple comparison,AUN shares should rise to the $2.50-$2.80 range given $30 spot silver.

However,AUN will be conducting an ongoing drill program for additional infill resource within Shafter's known zones and exploration drilling at Presidio West/Red Hills inder Dr. MeGaw.

Expect additional resources and discovery -perhaps significant discovery- and a rising silver price going into 2012.

I calculate a revision in the share price given rising prices and additional production within 12 months.

      February 10th, 2011
      By TOM HAINES

SHAFTER – A ceremonial blast next week should clear the way for a newtunnel that could bring the Shafter silver mine back into production byMay, 2012.

Mining began in Shafter in 1883 and the main shaft closed in 1942.Seventy years later, high silver prices have spurred a Canadiancorporation to pick up where the last miners stopped.

On Wednesday, Lenic Rodriguez, President of Rio Grande MiningCompany, owned by Aurcana Corp. of Vancouver, BC, will travel to Shafterto trigger the big blast.

Shafterresident Troy Rinehart conducts site work for Rio Grande Mining Companynear the location of the new tunnel (staff photos by ALBERTO TOMASHALPERN)
“It will be a surface blast,” said Sandy McVey, project manager forRio Grande Mining. “But it is the first blast heading underground.”

That blast will coincide with a party in Shafter that will includespeeches and plenty of congratulations among those who are re-openingthe mine after decades of false starts by others. The party is open tothe public and will be held from 3-6pm.

The event will trigger a host of change in this stretch of southPresidio County, from employing construction workers and miners in theregion, to removing hundreds of thousands of tons of ore from the earth,to discharging millions of gallons of water now in the old mine shaftinto the Rio Grande basin via the Arroyo del Muerto.

Roughly 25 million ounces of silver are thought to be in the mine, with speculation that nearly that much again may be accessible throughfurther exploration. At the high market price of $30 an ounce forsilver, Rio Grande Mining is motivated to act quickly.

The project will ramp up in coming weeks, as contractors construct anabove ground mill and the underground tunnel that will eventuallydeliver ore to the surface.

Mining operations, including the mill where the silver is separated from the ore, will be located west of Highway 67.

The underground tunnel will begin to the south of the historic mineshaft that still stands and slowly descend underground a distance ofmore than half of a mile. It will eventually be wide enough for trucksand other heavy machinery to deliver the ore back to the surface.

“We’ll be intersecting the ore about 400 to 600 feet underground,”McVey said. “And we’ll be hooking into the old workings, the oldtunnels, mined by the old timers by hand, and we’ll be using those oldworkings.”

McVey expects construction to be complete and operations to begin in18 months. Once open, Rio Grande Mining plans to employ roughly 160people in all manner of operations, above ground and below. Most ofthose people will likely make their homes to the south, in Presidio, ornorth, in Marfa.

That is a big change from when the Shafter mine last boomed. Then themill stood near the center of town, just east of Highway 67. Minerslived in homes all around, and the town had everything from a tenniscourt to a theater.

One of the abandoned mine shafts in Shafter. A new tunnel will deliver Rio Grande Mining Company miners to the ore deposit.
Much of that is now long gone, or in ruin. Yet the Sacred Heart ofJesus Church still stands, carefully cared for by Rosa and Veva Muñoz,sisters who have lived all their lives in Shafter.

They remember fondly the bustling times of the last mining boom, butappreciate, too, the peace and quiet that has followed for decades.

“They’re going to put a mill, and the crusher makes a lot of noise,”Rosa Muñoz said. “I don’t mind, as long as there is work for people thatreally need it.”

While sometimes called a ghost town, Shafter is home to roughly 30people. Some are teachers who commute south to Presidio. Others havereturned home after retirement.

Such is the case of Manuel Jimenez, who worked in the mines as ayoung man before they closed in 1942. Jimenez moved for years toCalifornia, but came back to Shafter, where he worked the other day onpreparing a garden plot.

“I don’t think they’re going to change anything,” he said, when asked about the new mining operations.

Muñoz said she, too, expects the town of Shafter to keep its character.

“Probably they will open a little store,” she said, approvingly.

“It’s going to be a little different Shafter. But it’s okay.”

To be sure, there is still a feeling of calm about the town.Makeshift plywood signs lettered with red spray paint indicate the wayto the temporary Rio Grande Mining Company offices. Those are set in asimple house tucked in a valley to the east of town, up a long, ruttedroad from the cemetery that holds the grave sites of many long-deceasedminers.

Inside the Rio Grande Mining offices, hard hats hang on a wall at theready. Contour maps show the terrain around the main mine shaft, anarea that is also home to more than a dozen smaller sites mined longago.

Arsenic has long been a concern as a by-product of hard-rock mining.McVey says that tests show only trace elements of arsenic at the Shaftersite.

Rio Grande’s milling operation will use cyanide, a chemical compoundof carbon and nitrogen, in a leaching process that extracts the silverfrom the ore.

The mill where that work is done will create wastewater at a rate of25 gallons a minute. That water will be directed to a large evaporationpond.

The other source of water is the hundreds of thousands of gallons ofwater now standing in the old mine shaft. Rio Grande Mining says it hasbeen tested and is cleared by regulators for discharge by pipe into theArroyo del Muerto.

That water is expected to flow at a rate of 250 gallons a minute for the life of the mine.

Rio Grande Mining projects that they can build their operations and extract all the silver they can in eight years.

Then, McVey said, the Shafter mine will close again....

Wer in Explorer investiert braucht starke Nerven...
