Nach einem sehr großen Gasfund im Rovuma Area 1 Block kam es zu einem Übernahmewettstreit (PPT vs. Shell; PPT hat gewonnen).

dann sehen das andere genauso.

Allerdings verstehe ich dann den Kursverlauf nicht, wenn mehr blau als rot...

Gott sei dank ist noch genug Geld in der Kasse.

Es kommnen noch ein paar andere Projekte. Wäre schön wenn es beim ersten mal geklappt hätte. Ist aber leider nicht so.

Hydrocarbons Encountered – Logs Later in Week
Pancontinental Oil and Gas Limited (“Pancontinental”, “PCL”, “Company”) has announced “elevated mud gas readings have been seen during some of the drilling” in the primary target between 1,997-2,553m at its Mbawa well located offshore Kenya. A full suite of logs will be run to determine the significance of these readings and results should be known later in the week.
It is too early to make a call; however, given that there is no word on oil shows it may be that gas is now more likely an outcome in this horizon. We have adjusted our valuation to account for this, with the upside from Mbawa decreasing from 169cps to 54cps (assuming 5TCF, 75c per mcf, 15% working interest).
If we apply these metrics across the Kenyan acreage, our risked valuation for PCL decreases from 53cps to 27cps. Our price target reduces from 34cps to 18cps.
Upside potential decreases from 426cps to 134cps for L8, which is still significantly greater than the current price. Investors should remember Cove – taken out for >$2b by PTTEP, with Shell left standing at the altar.
Secondary Target Remains
Several hundred million barrels of oil potential remains in the deeper Jurassic target, which should be intersected in 2-4 weeks at the current rate of drilling.
Speculative Buy – Chance of Success Increased
The chance of success in the well has increased; however, it now seems that gas is more likely than oil. Logging should confirm this later in the week. The sell-off seems to be a function of the differential value between an oil discovery and a gas discovery.
Substantial upside remains in the event of a gas discovery. Evidence of hydrocarbons is also highly positive for followup potential once results from this well are analysed and applied to other prospects offshore Kenya.
We retain our Speculative Buy recommendation with a revised price target of 18cps.

Wenn das so weitergeht, fallen demnächst die 10 Cent.

Absoluter Ausverkauf im Moment und Trauerspiel.

Aber ich kann immerhin sagen. Ich bin live dabei gewesen.

Kann man nur hoffen, dass bei den Wireline Logs noch etwas halbwegs positives bei rauskommt und die secondary targets nicht komplett leer sind.
