According to Draghi it is. The major policy change I expected sort of happened. Not quite full on though as Draghi says the ECB will buy unlimited Spanish, Italian and Greek bonds but... there is a caveat. The ECB is not going to inject any further money into the system. While market s rejoice today in what is a landmark milestone and turning point in ECB/German policy... it does not go far enough b/c it takes fear of liquidity event entierely off the table.. but it does nothing for the European recession that is threatening to take us all into a global recession. So yes I am very happy cuz maybe just maybe stocks like ZNR can get some money to go on... althoguh at the current price of $0.02 if I was financing the project I would be demanding a rollback now, but the big thing is iquidity is not going to be aproblem over there in Europe... Risk on is back on... well sort off.
Today's big caveat is that somehow the ECB is going to find the money somewhere else. SUUUUURE. What is the big word used today?
I can't even remember because it sounds so ludicrous.
One third of the global financial world is in a recession which threatens another third Asia. So two thirds of the global financial world will not come out of a recession until.. and yes China is in a recession along with Europe... as long as there is no associated stimulus package and when you are simply going to hack and slash somewhere else to pay this... you are essentially robbing Peter to pay Paul. Europe needs policies that encourage growth and a key part of stimulus is increasing the money supply. Duh!
Like a said... the Germans are being dragged kicking and screaming and if you click on the link below and read my 6,000 word premium article ... you will find out why the Germans and the ECB will eventually relent.
