hier eine Meinung über das Potential von Stage Completions auf Stockhouse von LongTerminvest1Have been reading lots of misconceptions about Blackbird and Stage Completions and wanted to add my input on what I have heard through speaking with Mr. Braun and doing some serious due diligence on my investment in Blackbird.
Stage at this time can manufacture 6,000 sleeves a month, without any outsourcing. That would mean approximately 72,000 per month.
The price of each sleeve and collet for the general market is $12,000. That would mean once full ramp up is completed they will have the ability to make $864,000,000!
The constraint at the moment is not manufacturing but installation teams – there are only so many people that understand how to install the system properly but this too is being ramped up.
For those that did not see it – Cormark has just raised there target on Blackbird to $0.95 – this was on the back of the latest Stage release.
From the Cormark piece I have taken out some of the key points.
This morning Stage Completions (Blackbird 10% equity ownership) announced the deployment of 750 stage sleeves / collets over the next 60 days to customers in Canada, the US and internationally following the deployment of 192 stage sleeves over the last month. The continued (and accelerating) adoption of Stage Completion’s Bowhead II system globally continues to suggest a material value to Blackbird’s interest in Stage (potentially $0.25- $0.55 per BBI share) as well as a much more valuable strategic advantage in the liquids rich Montney fairway at Elmworth. With preferential access and pricing, we expect Blackbird to restrict service cost inflation this year while expanding the boundaries of Montney drilling and completions. The introduction by Stage of a dissolvable collet this spring also potentially represents the next “stage” of completions advancement in North America.
This morning Stage Completions (“Stage”), the private oilfield service company 10% owned by Blackbird, provided an operational update. This year (last 30 days) Stage has deployed 192 stage sleeves/collets in Canada, the US and internationally with an additional 750 stage sleeves to be deployed over the next 60 days.
The exponential increase in orders near term, combined with our own due diligence among Montney operators in Canada most likely to adopt the system over the next 12-18 months, suggests Stage is approaching an inflection point for orders this year and into 2018. The success of the system at Elmworth and introduction of a dissolvable collet (both below) suggests to us potential revenues of up to $100 MM this year for Stage, or more than double our previous expectations for the year. With wider adoption of Stage in North America in 2018, a growth EBITDA multiple applied to technology/services companies and new technologies (dissolvable collet and new patents) the potential value of Blackbird’s interest in Stage (we believe) could be $100-300 MM (~$0.25-0.55 per Blackbird share). We have increased our target on Blackbird to reflect our expectations for $500 MM of revenue in 2018 with a 6.0x EV/EBITDA multiple for Stage.
In my opinion, Value of Stage is monstrous. That is why Cormark has the valuation they do. If this does play out, I believe we see Blackbird into the dollar range in the next little bit as people start to price this $0.25 -$0.55 of Stage value in, on top of the value of Blackbird’s Pipestone asset.
