aktuelle News: Somex findet hochgradiges Uran

Solex Resources Corp.: Trenching Returns High Grade Uranium Values Over Significant Widths at Macusani Project (Sayana Target), South-Eastern Peru
      1/24/06

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Jan 24, 2006 (CCNMatthews via COMTEX) --
Solex Resources Corp. (TSX VENTURE:SOX) ("Solex" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that very encouraging high grade uranium values (in excess of 1%U) over significant widths (4 metres) were obtained from channel sampling in three trenches at the Macusani uranium project (Sayana target), South-eastern Peru. A total of 10 trenches, totaling approximately 500 metres, were hand dug over a distance of 150 metres north-south. The trenches did not reach bedrock over the entire length because of the nature of the overburden. Results from the other 7 trenches will be released on receipt.

Frontier Pacific Mining Corporation ("Frontier Pacific") is earning a 50% interest in the 50,000 hectare Macusani project by spending US$4 million over 5 years.

The assays on the Sayana target are as follows:

      Calvario III

Systematic and detailed scintillometer surveys are being carried out to identify areas with potential uranium mineralization which has resulted in the discovery of a new area, Calvario III. Extensive fracture-controlled mineralization, with up to 2 centimetre wide uranium fracture fillings, hosted in aluminous rhyolitic ignimbrites, occurs over an area 300 metres by 50 metres. Systematic hand trenching across the uranium bearing fractures is being planned to determine the extent of the mineralization. Other targets identified to date include Calvario I (Calvario North), Puncopata (Calvario South), Calvario II, Tuturamani and Agaton.

Detailed AlphaTrack radon surveys have been completed on Calvario I, Puncopata and Sayana targets. The surveys are designed to identify any hidden uranium mineralization areas overlain by younger ignimbrite units and thick overburden and to help determine drill hole locations. Results will be released on receipt.

The analysis was performed by ALS Chemex Labs of North Vancouver, BC, Canada. Mohan R. Vulimiri, M.Sc., P. Geo., Director, Solex and Chairman, Frontier Pacific is the person responsible for initiating and guiding the work programs. Mr. Vulimiri examined the trenches on the Sayana target, the mineralization on the Calvario III concession, as well as Calvario I, Calvario II and Puncopata areas. Mr. Vulimiri is the qualified person in accordance with National Instrument 43-101 guidelines.

Solex Resources Corp. is a Canadian based resource company specializing in the acquisition and development of uranium and base metal-properties in Peru, a country which hosts some of the world`s largest and most profitable mines. Since 2004, the Company`s exploration strategy has been to acquire high-grade uranium and base metal-rich properties that have been previously discovered, but not yet mined. This strategy combined with Solex`s internationally recognized management and exploration teams` offer investors` high leverage to future rising uranium and base metal prices.

The Company recently announced the acquisition of over 4,500 hectares of land in the Macusani District in Puno, Peru. The property contains significant outcrops of the uranium mineral autunite, which has accumulated in the fractures of ignimbrite beds. Grab samples taken at the property returned values between 1.5% to 28% uranium, averaging 11%. Solex has also acquired seven properties totaling 3,400 hectares in the Vilcabamba district, where radiometric surveys are planned to measure uranium values.

Solex is also actively focusing its efforts on its Pilunani zinc-lead property in southern Peru. Initial work on the property has resulted in high grade zinc and lead (up to an indicated 35% combined metal content). An ambitious exploration program at the property is underway. Drilling and trenching are also planned on Solex`s Princesa property, where five known silver veins extend over the 1,200 hectare concession.

"The first attraction to Solex was the fact that a former mining analyst and corporate executive for whom I’ve had lots of respect took over. And just the way I like it, he didn’t pitch me in some fancy digs or five-star restaurant but showed be a developing story in Peru in my hotel room. I was sold by just the uranium projects I saw, so when he added a very interesting zinc play, well, you know the rest. Here too, SOX can become one of the more favorable uranium plays in 2006 with a zinc kicker." (January 3, 2006)
      - Grandich Letter

      SOLEX RESOURCES CORP.
      Sebastian Reidl
Chairman & Director, SOLEX RESOURCES CORP.

      Uran

      Atom kommt wieder in Mode

      30 neue Reaktoren weltweit

Die Kapazitäten der nuklearen Energieerzeuger steigen. Gegenwärtig werden mehrere Dutzend neuer Kraftwerke gebaut.

Allein China will in den nächsten 15 Jahren 40 zusätzliche Atomkraftwerke ans Netz bringen.

Solex has four main properties: Macusani (uranium); Vilcabamba (copper-silver-uranium); Pilunani (lead-zinc-silver); and Princesa (silver). The most advanced property is the high-grade Pilunani zinc-silver-lead project. Pilunani, long recognized for its high-grade zinc anomalies at surface, remains largely unexplored by modern methods and a limited drill programme is being formulated for later this year.

"Jonathan Challis is the reason i am here. he was the president of shore gold (diamonds), now 8 bucks i think. and left to pursue other interests. it turns out it is solex. well connected with friends like friedland. he left a company with huge potential, i am sure he was well awhere, for a new junior with no proven assets, solex. very interesting."

"commentary on SOX at Vancouver gold show. He especially expanded on his views at his afternoon workshop that had standing room only in it. A good part of his bullishness is derived from his high confidence in Jonathan Challis. Seems they both use to be analysts together and Grandich claims Jonathan is well respected worldwide."

the most undervalued uranium stock out there considering that the macusani property is littered with HIGH GRADE URANIUM!It`s only a matter of time before we get discovered by some high profile stock newsletter writers like dines or casey.I think by march we shall be firing on all cylinders!

      1/31/2006

VANCOUVER, Jan. 31, 2006 (Canada NewsWire via COMTEX) --
Further to the press release dated, January 24, 2006, Frontier Pacific Mining Corporation, (TSX-V: FRP) ("Frontier Pacific" or the "Company"), is pleased to announce that more high grade Uranium values over significant widths (in places greater than 1% Uranium over 5 metres) were obtained from channel sampling in five more trenches, Sayana target, Macusani uranium project, South-eastern Peru. These are in addition to results of the ones released on January 24, 2006. A total of 10 trenches, totalling approximately 500 metres, were hand dug over a distance of 150 metres north-south and are shown in Figure 1. The trenches did not reach bedrock over the entire length because of the nature of the overburden. Frontier Pacific holds an option to earn a 50% interest in the 50,000 hectare Macusani project from joint-venture partner Solex Resources Corp. (TSX-V: SOX) ("Solex").

The assays from Trenches 3 to 7, Sayana Target, are as follows: << Sayana: Trench 3 (west to east, 16 metres north of Trench 2) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scinit- illometer Sample Location Width Counts/ Uranium No. metres metres second ppm (%) Description ------------------------------------------------------------------------- HP-742 0 - 8 8 1879 1950 ppm Channel sample across (0.195%) two visible uranium fractures, trending 325 degrees and 335 degrees ------------------------------------------------------------------------- HP-743 8 - 22 14 11728 100 ppm Channel sample across (0.100%) two fractures, one with uranium, trending 325 degrees and 45 degrees ------------------------------------------------------------------------- HP-744 22 - 25.5 3.5 366 10 ppm Channel sample across two barren fractures trending 325 degrees and 290 degrees ------------------------------------------------------------------------- HP-745 25.5 - 45.5 20 369 430 ppm Channel sample across (0.043%) two barren fractures 290 degrees and 305 degrees and small uranium-bearing fracture. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Trench 4 (west to east, 16 metres north of Trench 3) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scinit- illometer Sample Location Width Counts/ Uranium No. metres metres second ppm (%) Description ------------------------------------------------------------------------- HP-746 0 - 5.5 5.5 1326 10 ppm Channel sample across two fractures, trending 60 degrees with minor visible uranium mineralization ------------------------------------------------------------------------- HP-747 5.5 to 20 14.5 1840 1320 ppm Channel sample across (0.132%) three uranium fractures, trending 5 degrees, 345 degrees and 350 degrees ------------------------------------------------------------------------- HP-748 20 - 34 14 366 10 ppm Channel sample across two barren fractures trending 325 degrees and 290 degrees ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Trench 5 (west to east, 15 metres north of Trench 4) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scinit- illometer Sample Location Width Counts/ Uranium No. metres metres second ppm (%) Description ------------------------------------------------------------------------- HP-749 0 - 5 5 11220 greater than Channel sample across 10000 ppm two uranium (greater fractures (15 mm than 1.00%) thick), trending 345 degrees. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- HP-750 5 - 17.5 12.5 1728 40 ppm Channel sample across one fracture, trending 350 degrees ------------------------------------------------------------------------- HP-751 17.5 - 38 20.5 457 10 ppm Channel sample across outcrop with no fractures ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Trench 6 (west to east, 17 metres north of Trench 5) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scinit- illometer Sample Location Width Counts/ Uranium No. metres metres second ppm (%) Description ------------------------------------------------------------------------- HP-752 0 - 20 20 450 120 ppm Channel sample (0.012%) across few fractures, mostly ignimbrite regoliths. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- HP-753 20 - 34 14 470 20 ppm Channel sample across one fracture, trending 350 degrees ------------------------------------------------------------------------- HP-754 34 - 48 14 471 less than Channel sample 10 ppm across one fracture, trending 345 degrees with minor visible uranium mineralization ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Trench 7 (west to east, 21 metres north of Trench 6) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scinit- illometer Sample Location Width Counts/ Uranium No. metres metres second ppm (%) Description ------------------------------------------------------------------------- HP-755 0 - 19 19 520 less than Channel sample mostly 10 ppm massive ignimbrite, no fractures ------------------------------------------------------------------------- HP-756 19 - 40 21 847 10 ppm Channel sample across weathered soft ignimbrite, not many fractures -------------------------------------------------------------------------
High scintillometer counts in relatively very low grade sample areas suggests that the uranium mineralization is leached down and deposited at groundwater tables. Systematic deeper trenching and drilling is required to properly investigate these areas at depth. The modes of occurrence of the secondary supergene enrichment of uranium phosphate minerals at groundwater tables is very common in dry areas, such as the Macusani district, Southern Peru, Utah, Arizona, and Wyoming.

      Calvario II

The Calvario II prospect is located approximately three kilometres west of Calvario I. Areas with highly anomalous values in counts per second, through systematic and detailed scintillometer surveys, were investigated with pits. High grade uranium mineralization was uncovered in places over an area 125 metres by 125 metres. Extensive fracture-controlled and disseminated mineralization, with up to 2 centimetre wide uranium fracture fillings, and minor disseminations, are hosted in coarser-grained aluminous rhyolitic ignimbrites. Systematic hand trenching across the uranium bearing fractures and minor disseminations is being planned to determine the extent of the mineralization. Figure 2 attached herewith shows extent of the radiometric anomaly and the possible uranium mineralization.

Significant results are as follows: ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scinitillo- meter Counts/ second on Sample soil covered Uranium ppm No. areas (%) Description ------------------------------------------------------------------------- WC-378 28000 greater than Sampling of the fracture-fillings 10500 ppm in small pits greater than 1.05% ------------------------------------------------------------------------- WC-379 1910 250 ppm Sampling of the fracture-fillings 0.025% in small pits ------------------------------------------------------------------------- WC-380 greater than 34900 ppm Sampling of the fracture-fillings 65535 3.49% in small pits ------------------------------------------------------------------------- WC-381 23000 greater than Sampling of the fracture-fillings 10500 ppm in small pits greater than 1.05% ------------------------------------------------------------------------- WC-382 22035 3250 ppm Sampling of the fracture-fillings 0.325% in small pits ------------------------------------------------------------------------- WC-383 27816 greater than Sampling of the fracture-fillings 15500 ppm in small pits greater than 1.55% ------------------------------------------------------------------------- WC-384 35000 5720 ppm Sampling of the fracture-fillings 0.572% in small pits ------------------------------------------------------------------------- WC-385 65535 greater than Sampling of the fracture-fillings 37200 ppm in small pits 3.72% ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Calvario III
Results from sampling on the high grade mineralization, newly-discovered Calvario III, mentioned in the Company`s news release, dated January 24, 2006, will be released on receipt. Calvario III is located approximately 4 kilometres south-west of Calvario II.

      Radon Surveys

Detailed AlphaTrack radon surveys were completed on the Calvario I, Puncopata, Sayana and Tuturamani targets. The surveys are designed to identify any hidden uranium mineralized zones overlain by younger ignimbrite units and thick overburden. Results will be released on receipt. The Uranium mineralization identified to date consists of mostly Autunite, Meta-Autunite, Gummite and minor Pitch-blende.

The analysis was performed by ALS Chemex Labs of North Vancouver, BC, Canada. Mohan R. Vulimiri, M.Sc., P. Geo., Chairman, Frontier Pacific is the person responsible for initiating and guiding the work programs. Mr. Vulimiri examined the trenches on the Sayana Target and the mineralization on the Calvario III concession, as well as the Calvario I, Calvario II and Puncopata areas. Mr. Vulimiri is the qualified person in accordance with National Instrument 43-101 guidelines.

      Hi Juergen,

There are many who feel the way you do about our company because many other Uranium related companies are trading above $1.00. The results we have released does indicate the potential for a very nice resource, however we are still in the early stages and will be drilling shortly to prove up the resource. I have attached a copy of Peter Grandich`s alert on the company. He recommended us at the recent Gold Show held here in Vancouver.
Whenever there is any news I will make sure that you get a copy by email.
      Very nice hearing from you.

      Grandich Letter:

"The first attraction to Solex was the fact that a former mining analyst and corporate executive for whom I’ve had lots of respect took over. And just the way I like it, he didn’t pitch me in some fancy digs or five-star restaurant but showed be a developing story in Peru in my hotel room. I was sold by just the uranium projects I saw, so when he added a very interesting zinc play, well, you know the rest. Here too, SOX can become one of the more favorable uranium plays in 2006 with a zinc kicker ." (January 3, 2006)

Minews Story Date: February 10, 2006

Solex Resources Advances Its Exploration Programme At Macusani Uranium Project.

Solex Resources listed in Canada last June and the President is Jonathan Challis, a mining engineer well known in London’s mining circles. When it listed its intention was to seek uranium and base metals in the Puno district of Peru. By July it had acquired over 31,500 hectares of land at Macusani which is a uranium rich project. Solex then negotiated a joint venture with Frontier Pacific Resources whereby it could earn a 50 per cent interest in the project by spending C$4 million on exploration over five years. Grab samples taken at the property returned values between 1.5% to 28% uranium. Detailed mapping of uranium occurrences on over 50 known prospects, channel sampling, and radiometric surveys were underway on the property when we last commented in 2005.

Prior work was conducted at Macusani by the Peruvian Insttitute of Nuclear Energy which explored the district extensively in the 70s and 80s. Radiometric surveys conducted at that time identified 39 prospects and 33 anomalies within the properties held by Solex. Uranium mineralization is found in the Upper Tertiary formation which outcrops over an area of 400 sq kms of which around 80 sq kms were explored in the late 1970s. These beds are up to 800 metres thick in places and the IPEN reckons that the uranium is readily leachable with recoveries of approximately 85 per cent.

The latest news from Solex is that it has received some very encouraging uranium values from channel sampling in three trenches out of a total of ten at the Sayana target on the Macusani project. These trenches totalled around 500 metres and were hand dug over a distance of 150 metres north-south. A few did not reach bedrock, but the others returned grades of up to 1% U over 4 metres. Five large uranium targets have been identified so far and drilling is now starting on these targets. It is interesting to note a comparison given by the company to compare gold grades and uranium percentages in terms of rock value. Gold at 1 g/t puts a value of £17.9 on every tonne of mineralised rock at the present price of US$560/tonne. A grade of 0.05% U3O8 puts an in-situ value of US$41.7 on every tonne of rock with U3O8 at US$36.5 /lb.

Challis describes the Calvario Hill prospect at Macusani as being flat and tabular in shape and lying near the surface of a hill. Open pit mining would therefore involve a very low waste-to-ore strip ratio. The length is 120,000 metres and it averages 10 to 25 metres in thickness. Sums can be done based on specific gravity of 2.5 to show that the resource is potentially 3 million tonnes which, at a low grade of 1 lb U3O8/tonne would give 3 million lbs of U3O8. If the grade varies up to 10 lbs U3O8 the amount of U3O8 would increase accordingly, as would the value. The truth may lies somewhere in between and the plan now is to drill 50 holes to a depth of 40 metres in order to determine the average grade of the deposit.

Solex has also acquired the Cullquimayo property in the Vilcabamba district in southern Peru, which is a highly prospective polymetallic prospect with historical high grades of silver, copper, lead and nickel. This area had previously been explored by a German geological mission, working with the Peruvian Atomic Commission (GMAPC) during the period 1959 to 1967. This work had defined grades of up to 3.9% lead, 8.9% nickel, 67 ozs/tonne silver and 17% uranium. Artisanal activities discovered uranium in the early 1950s; a lot of exploration was carried out; and small scale production took place. Solex has now evaluated the properties and is following up on seven targets with significant uranium, silver and copper anomalies.

The other two projects owned by the company are the Princesa property 18 kms south east of the Crucero district in Peru and the Pilunani zinc-lead property in southern Peru. Princesa and three adjoining concessions cover five known silver veins which were mined intermittently in the early 1960s. Previous exploration reports show that the mined average grades were as high as 4.6 ozs/tonne silver, 5.2% lead and 2.88% zinc. It looks like a classic silver-lead deposit with an interesting future. Initial work on the Pilunani property has resulted in high grade zinc and lead values. Detailed geological mapping and geochemical and rock chip sampling has been completed. Now it is on to drilling to determine to determine the nature and extent of mineralization. Solex should have plenty to say this year.

Die Scintillometer_Werte lassen wieder auf Urangehalt um 1% schliessen !!

Solex Resources Corp.-Macusani Uranium Project, South-Eastern Peru: Prospecting and Detailed Scintillometer Surveys Lead to New Uranium Discovery on Calvario III Property 2/14/2006

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Feb 14, 2006 (CCNMatthews via COMTEX) --
Solex Resources Corp. (TSX VENTURE:SOX) ("Solex" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the discovery of a significant area of uranium mineralization on the Calvario III Property, Macurani Uranium Project, south-eastern Peru. Highly anomalous scintillometer readings associated with fracture-controlled uranium mineralization (autunite, meta-autonite and gummite) in coarser-grained S-type rhyolitic ignimbrites were delineated over an area 500 metres by 100 metres in an east-north-east trending valley. The favourable ignimbrite unit appears to extend into the mountainous area to the west-north-west. The attached Figure 3 shows the extent of the mineralization.

Frontier Pacific Mining Corporation ("Frontier Pacific") is earning a 50% interest in the 50,000 hectare Macusani project by spending US$4 million over 5 years.

The significant results from samples collected in anomalous areas in Calvario III are as follows:

---------------------------------------------------------------------Sample Scintillometer Uranium ppm (%)No. Counts/second (ALS Chemex) Description---------------------------------------------------------------------HP-199 greater than 1800 Not received Minor fractures---------------------------------------------------------------------HP-200 4500 Not received---------------------------------------------------------------------HP-201 greater than 29000 Not received Uranium fracture-fillings up to 2 cm wide---------------------------------------------------------------------HP-204 65535 Not received Uranium fracture-fillings up to 2 cm wide---------------------------------------------------------------------HP-205 greater than 58000 Not received Uranium bearing fractures up to 2 cm wide---------------------------------------------------------------------HP-311 greater than 28000 Not received Uranium fracture-fillings up to 2 cm wide---------------------------------------------------------------------HP-312 4800 Not received Minor fractures---------------------------------------------------------------------HP-313 greater than 4000 Not received Minor fractures---------------------------------------------------------------------HP-501 greater than 65000 Not received Uranium fracture-fillings up to 2 cm wide---------------------------------------------------------------------HP-763 11000 Not received---------------------------------------------------------------------HP-764 greater than 65000 greater than 10% Uranium fracture-fillings up to 2 cm wide---------------------------------------------------------------------HP-765 greater than 65000 greater than 10% Uranium fracture-fillings up to 2 cm wide---------------------------------------------------------------------HP-766 65535 8.84% Uranium fracture-fillings up to 2 cm wide---------------------------------------------------------------------
High scintillometer counts in relatively un-mineralized areas close to surface suggest that the uranium mineralization is leached down and deposited in reducing conditions at groundwater tables. This is evident in the stream sediment down-stream in low-lying areas. The sediment is highly anomalous with counts as high as 10000 counts per second. Systematic drilling is required to properly investigate these areas at depth for potential secondary uranium mineralized zones. The modes of occurrence of the supergene enrichment of secondary uranium phosphate minerals at groundwater tables is very common in dry areas, such as the Macusani district, Southern Peru, Utah, Arizona, and Wyoming.

      RADON SURVEYS

Detailed AlphaTrack radon surveys were completed on the Calvario I, Puncopata, Sayana and Agaton targets. Interpretation of the Alpha-track film data is in process. The surveys are designed to identify any hidden uranium mineralized zones overlain by younger ignimbrite units and thick overburden. Results are expected shortly and will be released on completion.

Geo., Director of Solex and Chairman of Frontier Pacific is the person responsible for initiating and guiding the work programs. Mr. Vulimiri examined the mineralization on the Calvario III concession, as well as the Calvario I, Calvario II, Sayana and Puncopata areas. Mr. Vulimiri is the qualified person in accordance with National Instrument 43-101 guidelines.

These results disclosed above and in the Company`s previous press releases show that uranium mineralization is widespread in several targets, and potential for the occurrence of significant uranium deposits in the large 50,000 hectare concessions in Macusani area

Vena Finds Additional High-Grade Uranium Mineralization in Macusani
Toronto, Ontario – Vena Resources Inc. (TSX.V: VEM LIMA: VEM, Frankfurt; V1R) reports the fourth
qualitative results from uranium exploration and sampling on the Company`s extensive uranium
concessions. The project area comprises 15,500 hectares of 100% controlled land in Puno, Peru.
Previous campaigns also found significant mineralization as reported on November 24, 2005. Vena
has reviewed 60% of all targets in the Macusani (10,400 hectares) and Munani (5,500 hectares)
regions it controls. Confirmation work on IPEN’s historical data for Rio Blanco (2,200 hectares) and
Lagunillas (2,700 hectares) as well as the remaining 40% of Macusani will continue throughout 2006.
The table shown on page 2 contains the results of an additional 150 grab
samples taken along fractures containing autenite and torbenite from
Concharrunio West in Macusani. Most samples were analyzed by the delayed
neutron count process. However, 14 samples (shown adjacent and
extrapolated from summary table on page 2) were re-analyzed by x-ray
diffraction due to the high grade nature of the rock. Vena had previously
reported that a specific exploration target in Concharrumio West extends
over an area of 600 by 300 meters, with uranium mineralization ranging
from 0.01% to 23.0% U308 at surface. Samples are shipped to ActLabs in
Lima, Peru for preparation. The prepared samples are then sent to ActLab’s
facilities in Ontario, Canada for assaying.

“We are at various stages with the four properties, two of which, Pilunani and Princesa, are drill ready and we will see them being drilled in December (2005). Macusani is also being prepared for drilling, we are just doing a final survey on the ground to try to define a better target area than we have now and that program will commence as soon as we have completed at Pilunani and Princesa. The fourth property, Cullquimayo , which in the local language means river of silver, is one that had work done in the past, in the 1950’s, by a German Government group, which defined some uranium, copper and cobalt. It had very high-grade silver values and was the location of a major Inca silver mining operation. We have found silver grades in grab samples of up to 90 ounces a tonne.” - Jonathan Challis

Technology, Metals, Services & Exploration released.

      Exploration Plans

A diamond drill program for resource and grade estimation scheduled for the first quarter of 2006. A series of approximately 10-15 holes will be drilled in four of the radiometric targets (minimum 2000 meters). The objective is to estimate the average uranium grade over a portion of each target to depths of approximately 30 meters or more as necessary.

Solex Resources Corp. Announces Permits Issued for Diamond Drilling on Macusani Uranium Project-Alphatrack Radon Cup Surveys on Three Target Areas Return Significant Anomalies

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Mar 2, 2006 (CCNMatthews via COMTEX) -- Solex Resources Corp. (TSX VENTURE:SOX) ("Solex" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the receipt of Samilia "Category B" drill from the Ministry of Energy and Mines, Government of Peru. The second, Calvario "Category B" drill permit is expected in the next few days, with further permits covering additional targets to follow thereafter. Mobilization of drill equipment is underway. A 2000 metre drill contract was signed with Pac Rim Drilling S.A.C. of Lima, Peru. Initial drilling will focus on the delineation of mineralization identified to date on the Sayana, Calvario 1, Puncopata and Agaton targets. The drilling will assist in establishing potential grade and continuity of the uranium mineralization. The program is also designed for expansion depending on the results.

In addition, the Company received the results of the AlphaTrack radon cup surveys in the Sayana, Calvario I and Puncopata targets. The radon cup surveys are designed to locate any hidden uranium mineralized zones, covered by thick overburden and/or overlain by younger volcanic flows, and to delineate the mineralization trends. The radon surveys were carried out by VDG del Peru S.A.C., Lima, Peru and the cup films were analysed by Gennen McDowall of AlphaTrack. The AlphaTrack radon cups detect and track any radon gas omissions from the breakdown of hidden uranium sources.

Frontier Pacific Mining Corporation ("Frontier Pacific") is earning a 50% interest in the 50,000 hectare Macusani project by spending US$4 million over five years.

      AlphaTrack Surveys and Proposed Drilling:

      Sayana Target

Uranium values over significant widths (in places greater than 1% Uranium over 5 metres) were obtained from channel sampling in eight trenches in the Sayana Target. Results from these trenches can be referred to in the Company`s news release dated January 31, 2006. The area in the vicinity of these trenches will be drilled on grid spacing of 25 metres to test for grade and continuity.

In addition, a total of 372 cups were placed in areas where the favourable uraniferous ignimbrite is covered by overburden and/or overlain by younger barren volcanic formations. A very large and strong radon anomaly (over-limits) was identified 2 kilometres west of the trenches. This anomaly appears be parallel to the mineralization trend in the trenches and covers an area approximately 1000 metres long and 500 metres wide. The anomaly will also be tested with diamond drilling to determine the source.

      Calvario I Prospect

High grade uranium fracture-controlled and disseminated mineralization was exposed in trenches, pits and outcrops on the slopes of Calvario Hill. Calvario Hill covers an area of 600 metres by 200 metres. AlphaTrack radon cups were set on the top of Calvario Hill to help determine the trend and extent of exposed uranium mineralization under younger thin volcanic flows. Two very strong radon anomalies, with several over-limit exposed cups, were delineated. The west anomaly occurs over an area 100 metres by 100 metres and the east anomaly 200 metres by 75 metres. These anomalies will be tested by drilling on a grid spacing of 25 metres.

      Puncopata Target

Uranium mineralization was uncovered in pits and trenches on the north-facing cliffs on the Puncopata Target. AlphaTrack radon cups were set on the ridge top to determine the extent of exposed uranium mineralization under younger barren volcanic rocks to the south. A very strong anomaly, with multiple over-exposed cups, trends East-West and occurs over an area 400 metres 100 metres. The anomaly is open to the West and South. Systematic diamond drilling is being planned to test this extensive anomaly.

Radon cup surveys were also completed on the Agaton and Tuturamani targets. Results will be disseminated when available.

The analysis of core from the diamond drilling program will be performed by Activation Laboratories Ltd. ("Actlabs"), Ancaster, Ontario, Canada. Actlabs has a preparation laboratory in Lima, Peru.

These results disclosed above and in the Company`s previous press releases show that uranium mineralization is widespread in several targets, and potential for the occurrence of significant uranium deposits in the large 50,000 hectare concessions in Macusani area.

Mohan R. Vulimiri, M.Sc., P. Geo., Director of Solex and Chairman of Frontier Pacific is the person responsible for initiating and guiding the work programs. Brian Malahoff, B.Sc., P.Geo. is responsible for the direct, on-site, supervision of the drilling. Mr. Vulimiri and Mr. Malahoff are qualified persons in accordance with National Instrument 43-101 guidelines

Separately, the Company has formalized, by way of an Agreement, a long standing, cooperative, working relationship with IPEN (The Peruvian Institute of Nuclear Energy). IPEN`s exploration activity in the 1980`s led to the identification of approximately 80 areas prospective for uranium exploration. Solex acquired this data many years ago and from that information, selected the current 60 targets areas now under the investigation and ownership of the Company and its Joint venture partner. The agreement, signed last week in Lima, recognizes this on-going relationship and the role that the Agency has in working with the Company to ensure that, as drilling commences, further development of these properties is done in the best possible manner, particularly with regard to environmental and social practices.
