Alexandria Minerals to buy 13 claims in Val d'Or

ALEXANDRIA MINERALS ACQUIRES PAST-PRODUCING GOLD MINE IN VAL-D OR FROM VIRGINIA MINES INC.

Alexandria Minerals Corp. has completed an agreement to purchase 13 claims from Virginia Mines Inc. adjacent to its Siscoe East property in the Val d'Or mining camp of Quebec. The property, known as the Stabell property, produced 1,750 ounces of gold between the period of 1935 and 1937 at grades of 0.27 ounce per ton gold.

The claims are in the southwest portion of the Bourlamaque intrusive rock (the ore host rock) in contact with mafic and ultramafic volcanic rocks. The Stabell mine shaft No. 2 was developed to a depth of 312 metres; drifting and crosscuts were established at five separate levels. Channel sampling in these levels yielded up to 0.450 ounce per ton with widths up to 1.52 metres. Pre-43-101 estimates indicate the mine contains 48,553 tons at a grade of 0.203 ounce per tone gold over a width of 1.52 metres and historic exploratory holes elsewhere on the property have intersected gold mineralization grading 13.7 grams per tonne Au (0.399 ounce per ton) over 1.2 metres and 34.3 g/t Au (one ounce per ton) over 0.3 metre.

ALEXANDRIA MINERALS EXPANDS IR ACTIVITIES TO EUROPE

Alexandria Minerals Corp. has entered into an agreement with Oliver Frank to provide investor relations services in Europe on behalf of the company.

Mr. Frank is an independent journalist and analyst in Germany and, since 2003, has been the chief editor of the investment newsletter, the Gold Report. He publishes articles and interviews about the gold and silver sector for magazines in Germany such as the Shareholder, and websites such as Goldinvest.de.

In 1996, Mr. Frank was the co-writer of the first German book, North American Gold Mining, with Martin Siegel, now a well-known gold fund manager in Germany for PEH Funds.

Mr. Frank has arranged listings (using six different market makers) on German stock exchanges (Berlin and Frankfurt) for more than 50 mining companies from Canada and Australia. He will help Alexandria Minerals build a strong European shareholder base.

The agreement between the company and Mr. Frank encompasses a 12-month period. Subject to approval by the company's board of directors and the TSX Venture Exchange, Alexandria will issue 100,000 stock options at 26 cents per share to Mr. Frank.
