Burger King expands in Hong Kong, Macau
NEW YORK (AP) - Burger King Holdings (Nachrichten), operator of the world's second-largest hamburger chain, said Friday its Asia-Pacific division has signed an agreement for the development of its first restaurants in downtown Hong Kong and Macau.

BK Asiapac PTE Ltd. has awarded the rights for the development to a subsidiary of North Asia Strategic Holdings Ltd. The group will open the first Burger King restaurant in downtown Hong Kong by December 2007, the company said.

There are already two Burger King restaurants in Hong Kong -- one at the airport and one at The Peak, a tourist attraction.

Globally, Burger King operates more than 11,000 restaurants, many of them owned by independent franchisees.

Luft holen und zum nächsten Sprung ansetzen. Bald gibt es Burger King in Hongkong zum Weihnachtsmarkt.

Sushi wäre eher passend, aber was soll's. Hauptsache Umsatz und steigende Kurse.
