Und wenn ich mir vorstelle,daß der Idiot von Börsenbriefautor (ich denke es wissen alle, wer gemeint) noch vor einigen wenigen Monaten empfohlen hat, daß man um die 0,14-0,15 Euro wohl wissend, daß viele auf dicken Verlusten sitzen, weil von ihm ja um die 0,45 empfohlen, verkaufen soll.....dann kann ich nur noch sagen, Gott sei Dank,daß ich es nicht getan hab'...werde bei 0,23 bei +/- null sein und weiter zuwarten,daß es wenigstens die 0,35 werden. Dann Einatz rausnhmen und den Rest nicht unter 0,5 verkaufen. Schönen abend den Beteiligten. Was mich wundert ist, daß ein gewisser "Feueropal" oder so, noch nicht aufgetaucht ist. Wird gerade der denn schon verkauft haben? Aber auch egal.

RPT Uranium Completes Drill Program in Sibley Basin and Continues to Search for Other Opportunities in Energy Sector

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - June 17, 2008) - Nelson W. Baker, acting President of RPT Uranium Corp. (TSX VENTURE:RPT - News) is pleased to announce that the company has completed a 3306 metre, winter-spring diamond drilling program on its Sibley Basin uranium property north of Thunder Bay, Ontario. Fourteen holes were drilled into a variety of targets near the western edge of the Sibley Basin.

Five holes were drilled into iron formations, as indicated by strong, linear airborne magnetic anomalies. Previous exploration had established a relationship between iron formation and uranium mineralization in the Split Rapids area at the eastern margin of the Sibley basin. No uranium was encountered in the 2008 drill holes. However, hole BL08-13, where the iron formation had feathered out into a number of very narrrow slivers close to a major northwest-trending fault zone, cut a short section of iron formation carrying pyrite, pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite. A 0.50 metre section assayed 0.32 g/T gold. Drill hole BL08-14, the last hole of the program, cut a 26 metre section of iron formation, on the opposite side of the fault. It was mineralized throughout with pyrite, pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite. Samples have been sent to be assayed for gold.

Seven holes were drilled into airborne electromagnetic anomalies, which were all caused by graphite-bearing metasediments. The association between graphitic basement rocks and unconformity-related uranium mineralization is well known in the Athabasca basin of Saskatchewan. None of the 2008 drill holes encountered uranium; however, hole BL08-11 intersected a wide zone of clay, chlorite and hematite alteration extending from the unconformity at the base of the Sibley sediments, 50 metres down into the basement. This type of alteration is almost always associated with unconformity-type uranium mineralization, and its presence is regarded as a favourable indication of the area's uranium potential.

Two holes were drilled into discrete magnetic anomalies, of which one was determined to be caused by an outlier of a diabase sill. The other, tested by hole BL08-06, was caused by a body of serpentinized peridotite. Although there was no sulphide mineralization present, the area clearly has potential for nickel-copper-PGE mineralization.

RPT's Sibley basin claims currently cover 221,000 acres within a 125 x 65 kilometre area of the Sibley basin, of which approximately one third consists of Archean basement rocks where the sedimentary cover has been removed by erosion. All technical information herein has been compiled and/or reviewed by Colin Bowdidge, Ph.D., P.Geo., vice-president of exploration for the company and a Qualified Person as defined in NI43-101.

In addition to exploring for uranium in Canada, RPT Uranium Corp. continues to explore for other large scale projects globally that fall within the energy sector. RPT Uranium is well funded with approximately $15 million in its treasury.

For personal reasons, effective June 10, 2008, Dr. Peter Kausch has resigned as a director from the board of the Company but will remain as a consultant to RPT Uranium Corp. Es ist tatsächlich nichts Neues, deshalb kommt die Aktie auch gut zurück; dass sich der Anstieg nicht auf die in der Meldung genannten Bohrlöcher gründen kann, war auch klar.
Aber: die Warrantnehmer wollen bedient werden, und man verspricht sich einiges von den anderen Projekten.
Die Liquidität ist beruhigend gut, cash wurde im Vergleich zu den letzten Zahlen kaum verbrannt.

Ich bin weiter bullish für RPT.

Phantastisch! In Kanada: + 18%

Seit Monaten lese ich im Forum als stiller Leser mit... und leide mit. Mein EK liegt knapp unter 0.2 Euro... und scheint nun wieder erreicht zu werden... was mich natürlich freut, denn ich gebe zu, dass auch ich mein Geld eigentlich schon abgeschrieben hatte...

Über die Gründe des Kursanstiegs wird weiterhin nur gerätselt... Ob am Wochenende eine NR zu erwarten ist oder ob derzeit hinter den Kulissen wichtige Fäden gezogen werden: Ich weiss es nicht... und bin mir über meine Strategie ehrlich gesagt auch noch nicht im Klaren...: Verkaufen und Einstand zurückholen oder den Schwung ausnutzen und weiter laufen lassen...

Der Lauf der Aktie ist derzeit schon mehr als beeindruckend und scheint noch nicht gebremst zu sein. Ich warte gespannt auf die kommenden Tage...

wenn dein ek bei etwa 0,20 liegt und du bereits massiv in den roten zahlen warst,kann ich nicht verstehen, warum du deine verluste nicht per stop begrenzt hast?aber noch weniger kann ich verstehen warum du jetzt, wo die aktie läuft,deine anteile verkaufen willst?vielleicht guckst du in zehn tagen einem kurs von 0,40 hinterher,bei dem du deinen einsatz mal eben verdoppelt hättest!vieles dabei ist natürlich spekulation.ich persönlich denke das die meisten verluste damit gemacht werden,keine stops zu setzen, und auf anderer seite natürlich zu zeitig auszusteigen.ist aber nur meine meinung-muß jeder selbst entscheiden.

Tja... so bin ich... ich setze keine Stop-Loss-Grenze. Die Hoffnung stirbt zuletzt... naiv, aber ich glaube leider oft etwas zu lange an eine Aktie... in diesem Fall hatte ich wohl Glück, dass sie nochmals hochgekommen ist. Wie gesagt: Ich warte noch etwas ab, aber werde natürlich in erster Linie darauf achten, nicht noch einmal Verluste einzufahren...

Ich denke nicht, dass ein tiefer Fall kommt.
Die Uranborhergebnisse sind es BIS JETZT nicht, darüber wissen wir alle Bescheid.
RPT entwickelt sich jedoch weiter, so dass auch andere Rohstoffe in Betracht kommen. Spekuliert wurde darüber schon, und in der neuesten Mitteilung steht es ja auch ausdrücklich drin.

Ask bis .37 CAD, der Wert schloss auf dem tiefst möglichen Niveau mit .33

Weiter so.

Für mich siehts zur Zeit so aus: Gesetztes Stop-Loss bei Euro 0,175 - wenns bis da runter geht, fällts wohl auch weiter.
Ansonsten halte ich bis 0,40 - 0,50 je nachdem wies dann so aussieht.. und diese Kurse halte ich zur Zeit innerhalb der nächsten 8 Wochen für durchaus erreichbar.

2. Grosser Börsen Fehler --> BID / ASK als Indikatoren zu nutzen (wenn dann umgekehrt!!!)

Beim letzten Hochpunkt in Deutschland (fast 0,27 glaub ich) sahen die Relationen des BID/ASK in CAN (wie auch hier) GANZ GENAU SOOOOO aus!!!! Danach (1 Woche) standen wir in D bei 0,19 um dann wieder ein paar Tage/ Wochen später bei 0,09 ... zu landen.

Wenn wir heute ein gutes Bid/Ask haben sollten, können wir selbstverständlich in einer Woche schon pleite sein - ich sehe den Zusammenhang nicht.

Punkt ist: Entweder es gibt eine Kauflust, die die Verkaufslust übersteigt, dann steigt der Kurs (so wie es eben beim gesehenen B/A-Verhältnis der letzten Woche war) - oder es überwiegt die Verkaufslust..
Das ist auch keine höhere Weisheit, das ist das Prinzip.

Daraus kann man schliessen: Bleibt der Kaufwille so, wie er letzte Woche aufgehört hat, sind Sorgen unbegründet.

Das heisst nicht, dass dieser Kaufwille so bleiben muss. Natürlich kann ein Umschwung innerhalb von 15 Minuten kommen.. und plumps gehts abwärts. Die Frage ist doch: Wonach sieht es denn aus?
Und diese Frage muss sich jeder für sich selbst beantworten. Wie ich es für mich getan habe, kann man unten lesen - wie Du das für Dich tust, bleibt völlig Dir überlassen.

... er hatte bei 0,14-15 etwa empfohlen, zu verkaufen. Hab' das Abo vor langer Zeit gekündigt, weil ich gemerkt habe, daß er von Börse keine Ahnung hat. An Kontraindikator ist er genial, wenn man denn shorter ist. Dann einfach seine Empfehlungen verkaufen, weil 9 von 10 Empfehlungen von ihm fallen. Bin aber leider erst zu spät drauf gekommen. Rpt werde ich persönlich noch eine sehr lange Weile halten.

@DWinner - RPT ist wie wohl 90% aller Explorer nicht ernsthaft darauf festgelegt, was sie denn dereinst mal fördern wollen. Man sucht halt stärker nach einem bestimmten Gut (in diesem Falle wars Uran) und gilt fortan als Uranexplorer. Findet man aber etwas anderes - oder tun sich sonstwie weitere Möglichkeiten auf - warum sollte RPT dann nicht etwas flexibel sein und auch damit Geld machen?
Ich sehe das eher positiv. Lass ma uns mal überraschen, was da so bei rum kommt.

Allgemein finde ich einige Posts der letzten zwei drei Tage schon wieder etwas verwirrend. Einige springen so dermaßen in ihren Aussagen hin und her.. naja. Es ist sicher gut seine Meinung auch ändern zu können. Das aber drei mal täglich zu tun finde ich dann doch etwas viel.

Für mein persönliches Empfinden wurde die positive Entwicklung des Wertes bestätigt - und der Kaufdruck der letzten Woche erklärt. Und das wiederrum gibt mir eine gefühlte SIcherheit, dass der ANstieg eben nicht nur ein Luftblasen-Peak war. Damit bin ich zur Zeit schon zufrieden

He is also a member of the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists and a certified Wyoming Professional Geologist. Mr. Findley resides in Billings, Montana.

Hageli13, Natürlich hast Du hier das selbe Recht wie alle anderen Deiner Meinung Ausdruck zu verleihen. Aber nimm einen Tip an:
Wenn Du möchtest, dass auch jemand Deine Postings liesst - oder sie gar ernst nimmt, dann solltest Du Dir dringend angewöhnen zwei drei Tasten mehr zu benutzen. Zum einen ist es durchaus möglich auch Grossbuchstaben zu verwenden. Es gibt eine Entertaste. Auch hier (wie in etwa 85% meiner Invests) wars eine arg maue Woche.. trotzdem muss man ja nicht gleich den Kopf hängen lassen.

Einfach mal nüchtern betrachten, das Geld liegen lassen, Standardwerte laufen im Moment auch nicht besser, und bei den großen Banken kommen auch noch nach wie vor die ein oder anderen Laichen aus dem Keller. So what. Es ist keine Briefkastenfirma, nur unser Unternehmen hat halt im Moment nicht ganz so rosige Zeiten, aber kommt Zeit kommt Rat, also einfach zurücklehnen, entspannen, und das WE genießen.

Im Grunde stimme ich Dir ja zu.

Nur weiss doch (oder sollte doch jeder wissen), dass die Investition in so einen Explorer ein Risikoinvestment ist. Natürlich kann man da schwuppdiwupp auf 0 fallen - auf der anderen Seite kann man auch schwuppdiwupp vervierfachen.
Kein Mensch bei Verstand investiert hier sein Haus und Hof.. RPT, wie eigentlich alle Explorer, ist etwas für "Oh guck mal, da liegen ja noch ein paar Mücken.. hm.. was mach ich denn mal damit?"-Gelder.

Wer sich den Verlust des investierten Geldes nicht leisten kann ist hier meiner Meinung nach einfach falsch.

("RPT") (RPT) announces that it is currently acquiring lease acreage in the Williston Basin in North Dakota with a view to drilling and testing a number of prospective horizons. RPT has engaged Resource Ventures LLC ("Resource Ventures") as an agent to identify and assemble the North Dakota acreage on behalf of RPT. To finance the lease acquisition program, RPT entered into a loan agreement dated September 16, 2008 with Resource Ventures (the "Loan Agreement") to advance up to $2 million in funds to be used exclusively for lease acquisitions. To date, a total of $660,000 has been advanced to Resource Ventures under the Loan Agreement for lease acquisitions. The maximum consideration payable to Resource Ventures for its role as agent in acquiring the leases is $300,000. $150,000 will be paid upon completion of the lease acquisition program. An additional $150,000 will be payable out of the first $300,000 in net profit which may be derived by RPT through exploitation of the acreage. Resource Ventures is a Colorado LLC having as its sole insiders, Richard ("Dick") Findley and Steve Swanson. Mr. Findley is also a director of RPT.

On June 24, 2008, RPT announced a letter of intent with Sage Petroleum LLC ("Sage Petroleum") under which RPT and Sage Petroleum agreed to jointly acquire, finance and explore petroleum and natural gas properties in North America. Nachdem ich ne geraume Zeit hier mitgelesen habe muss ich mich doch sehr wundern, dass Leute Geld in ne Firma stecken von der sie keine Ahnung haben... (ups vielleicht auch so ein Problem, welches die aktuelle Krise ausgelöst hat
Jedenfalls vergesst mal schön über AKWs und Uran und sonstiges Zeugs hier zu diskutieren. Zum Einen werden die in Zukunft den Namen ändern, zum Zweiten wird man sich auf Öl und Gas spezialisieren und zu guter Letzt ist das auch der Grund warum die HP down ist.

Also gut jetzt dürfen manche weiter hier ihren verwegenen Theorien nachhängen.

Kleiner Tipp: Auch mal canadische Boards lesen bzw. die News der Firma...

äußerst hilfreich herr oberlehrer anfangs gab es durchaus informationsfluss inzwischen isses halt so ich steck so tief drin da reißts auch nich raus ob ich jetzt raus geh oder auf ein wunder hoff alles in allem hast du natürlich recht , mir war allerdings durchaus klar das dies hier ein risikoinvest is .
fakt is meine fonds zertifikate und wie sie alle heißen sin alle im keller wie bei den meißten die long investieren hier hatte ich geld übrig und dachte mir why not ging eben in die hose .

Uranium Corp. has signed an agreement with Fugro Geophysical Surveys to conduct a low-level Triaxial gradiometer magnetic airborne survey over its large 100-per-cent-owned Dorion block adjoining Australian-based Magma Metals Ltd.'s new Ni-Cu-PGM (platinum group metals) discovery located approximately 50 kilometres northeast of Thunder Bay, Ont.

The Dorion block is part of a much larger land position originally acquired by RPT which blanket prospective segments of the Sibley basin straddling the north-northwest-trending Black Sturgeon Lake fault believed to be prospective for unconformity-style uranium mineralization. Recently, systematic drilling by Australian-based Magma Metals Ltd., west of the company's Dorion block, confirms that one of the five magnetic trends crossing the property in an easterly direction hosts Magma Metals' Current Lake intrusive complex, a large pipe-like mineralized body that has recorded impressive mineralized widths and grades in several drill holes of up to 61.7 metres grading 5.6 grams per tonne (g/t) Pt plus Pd, 0.7 per cent Cu and 0.4 per cent Ni.

The airborne survey, totalling 4,920 line kilometres with flight lines spaced 100 m apart and flown in a north-south direction over the entire claim block, is scheduled to be flown in March.

einen laden der uranerz fördert, darf man nicht abschreiben,da man in der nächsten zeit den ganzen strombedarf mit wasser,wind,solar bestimmt nicht produzieren kann und russland ab 2013 kein uran mehr zur verfügung stellt ( haben schon australien ersucht )es dauert halt schon fast zu lange,daß sich etwas rührt

RPT Uranium Corporation (TSX VENTURE:RPT) ("RPT") is pleased to provide an update on the Dorion Block exploration program located 60 kilometres northeast of Thunder Bay, Ontario. In March 2009, Fugro Airborne Surveys Limited was contracted by RPT to perform a detailed triaxial gradient magnetometer survey over the Dorion Block which is immediately east of the newly discovered Magma Metals Limited Thunder Bay North (TBN) project. The Thunder Bay North project recently won the 2008 Discovery of the Year Award presented at this year's North Western Prospectors Association conference held in Thunder Bay.

Magma Metals Limited is presently detail drilling the Current Lake Intrusive Complex, a 5 km long mafic-ultramafic magma conduit. This complex hosts high-grade sulphide mineralization carrying impressive intervals of Pd, Pt, Cu and Ni over broad intervals.

A total of 4388 line kilometres at 100m flight line spacings were flown in a north-south direction, over the Dorion Block, with selective detailing conducted in an east-west direction at the same spacings. Initial data has been received and is currently being modelled and incorporated into a geological dataset.

Prior to conducting this survey, the only data available from the historical work was limited to regional government sponsored airborne surveys that did not provide enough resolution to adequately determine what features were present on the property. Despite its proximity to excellent infrastructure, this property has only witnessed sporadic exploration in the last 75 years with no assessment of the Ni-Cu-PGE potential.

The results of the survey indicate that the magnetic signatures that correlate with the Magma Metals Thunder Bay North (TBN) intrusive complex trend onto the southern half of the Dorion Block and do not have geometries that can be adequately explained by the surrounding country rocks. The unexplained magnetic signatures on the Dorion Block are approximately 6 km long.

Because of these atypical signatures, an initial ground based assessment of these magnetic features on the Dorion Block will be conducted by RPT staff in early May 2009. This first pass will include a rock sampling and mapping program.

Zum Abgehen sind die Umsätze wesentlich zu gering.

Bislang grad mal 200 000 Stückers,

das entspricht knapp 30 000 Dollar. Soviel wie ein Golf kostet.

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Aug. 10, 2009) - RPT Resources Ltd. (formerly RPT Uranium Corp.) (TSX VENTURE:RPT - News; "RPT") is pleased to announce that the Company has signed, subject to regulatory approval, a final agreement with Kennecott Canada Exploration Inc. for RPT's 100%-owned Sibley Basin area Dorion Block. Under the terms of the agreement Kennecott has acquired the right to earn-in up to an 80% interest by expending a total of $10.2 million and issuing staged payments described in more detail below totalling $350,000 on or before December 31, 2016.


Kennecott's proposal to earn-in on the Dorion Block is in the form of two options:

- First Option: Kennecott has been granted the right to earn a 60% interest in the property by making payments and incurring expenditures per the following schedule:

-- Expenditures - incurring $1,700,000 on the property on or before December 31, 2012 ($300,000 of which is committed and must be incurred by December 31, 2010).

-- Payments - $25,000 in aggregate payments.

- Second Option:

-- Expenditures - If Kennecott exercises the First Option and earns 60% undivided interest it shall have the right to earn an additional 20% undivided interest (for a total of 80%) in the property by incurring an additional $8,500,000 on or before December 31, 2016.

-- Payments - $325,000 in aggregate payments.

The proposal grants Kennecott the right to elect to form a joint venture with RPT upon either:

- At any time after Kennecott has satisfied the First Option requirement (60% KCEI, 40% RPT).

- Upon Kennecott satisfying the Second Option requirement (80% KCEI, 20% RPT).

- If a party's interest is diluted below 10%, then such party's interest is converted to a 2% NSR.

Since 2000, Kennecott's strong nickel team have experienced a high degree of discovery success exploring for Noril'sk-style magmatic intrusions associated with the Midcontinent Rift System.

Agreement to Develop Mining Projects with MetaLeach\\\'s Proprietary Leaching Technologies


Alexander Mining plc is pleased to report that its wholly owned subsidiary MetaLeach Limited (\\\"MetaLeach\\\") has signed a twelve months commercial agreement with RPT Resources Ltd. (\\\"RPT\\\", listed on the TSX Venture Exchange - code RPT ). The principal features of the agreement are as follows:

RPT to pay MetaLeach a consultancy fee of US$300,000 per annum for information regarding potential mineral properties which may be suitable for the use of MetaLeach\\\'s proprietary leaching technologies.

RPT can select properties for acquisition and will be responsible for funding initial acquisition costs and for funding the development of a selected property through to commercial production.




•
MetaLeach will provide RPT with technical/testwork services on its normal commercial terms in relation to the application of the leaching technologies to each selected property.




•
MetaLeach will provide a licence for the use of its leaching technologies only on the selected property to enable the property to be developed and for commercial production to proceed.




•
RPT and MetaLeach will share profits and gains from a selected property, after crediting RPT with all acquisition and subsequent development costs, in the ratio 80 per cent & 20 per cent respectively.




•
The licence will be at no cost to RPT, but if third parties have an interest in the selected property the licence will contain royalty obligations reflecting the extent of the third party interests.

Under the agreement, which can be mutually extended after twelve months, MetaLeach will provide RPT with information regarding potential mineral properties which may be suitable for the use of MetaLeach\\\'s proprietary leaching technologies (in particular its AmmLeach® process), and which could be instrumental in the financially viable development of the properties.


RPT will be entitled to select one or more properties in which it wishes to acquire an interest and it will be responsible for funding the initial acquisition costs. RPT will also fund, or be responsible for procuring funding for, the development of a selected property through to commercial production.


MetaLeach will assist in the negotiations for the acquisition of an interest in the potential properties. Until RPT has had an opportunity to review the suitability of each of the potential properties, MetaLeach agrees not to provide any information with respect to that potential property to any other company, individual or other entities. In the event that a potential property is not selected for acquisition by RPT within three months, then MetaLeach shall be free to provide details to other parties. MetaLeach is obligated to provide information regarding at least three properties in each of the first and second six months periods of the agreement.


In consideration for the property identification service, RPT will pay MetaLeach a consultancy fee of US$300,000 per annum, of which the first US$150,000 is payable on signature of the formal agreement and then payable in equal monthly instalments commencing six months thereafter.


MetaLeach will provide RPT with technical assistance services, including conducting testwork, in relation to the application of the leaching technologies to each selected property, on MetaLeach\\\'s normal commercial terms. In addition, MetaLeach will provide a licence for the use of its leaching technologies on the selected property at no cost to RPT to enable the property to be developed and for commercial production to proceed. The no-cost licence entitlement shall continue in force only if RPT and MetaLeach together own the entire interest in the selected property.


In consideration for the above, RPT and MetaLeach will share profits from a selected property in the ratio 80 per cent & 20 per cent respectively. Die nehmen den Mund voll, von wegen "world class projects" oder "extremely well positioned" oder "looks to maximize shareholder value"... bleiben den Beweis aber seit Jahren schuldig.

Sie haben aber 13Mio cash. Hätte ja sein können, dass sie die Kohle so sinnvoll eingesetzt haben und ein Trading Halt gerechtfertigt wäre. Wenn die news Grund für den TH war, ist das ein Witz. Ein Witz wäre dann auch, den Handel um 9:03 anzuhalten und um 9:41 press release rauszugeben... und den Halt bis jetzt nicht wieder aufzuheben...

Offensichtlich hat sich in dem Laden nichts geändert...

Sind wir beide eigentlich die Einzigen die diese Aktie noch haben oder warum hört und liest man nichts von den Kollegen? Wahrscheinlich haben sich alle zu Recht über diesen Wert totgelacht. Scheint wirklich nur bestenfalls mit Armateuren im Management besetzt zu sein! Wann wird der Handel mit oder ohne weitern Nachrichten wieder aufgenommen?

Nö...ich bin auch noch da....und leider auch noch dabei. Mir bleibt bei meinem EK auch nichts anderes übrig. Ich gucke mit Spannung täglich auf den Wert. Bin auch gespannt was das für News sein werden. Ich hoffe natürlich auf positive Nachrichten, damit ich hier zumindest mit nur einem blauen Auge davon komme. Denn dieser ach so toll angepriesene Wert war damals auch meine höchste Investition....war ja ein so totsicherer Tipp von dem Türken.

Warum leider, der uransektor hat zukunft, sonst geht allen einmal das licht aus.
Der türke hatte viel empfohlen, nicht nur mist, schau dir sabina gold und silver corp. an , wo sie heute steht, und wo sie in nächster zukuft stehen wird, bei dieser geldschwämme. Es braucht alles seine zeit, bin schon ca 4 jahre dabei.

(the "Underwriters") on a private placement basis in certain jurisdictions in Canada and the United States pursuant to applicable prospectus exemptions ("Offering"). RPT Resources Ltd. Announces Executed Definitive Agreement Regarding Business Combination

RPT Resources Ltd. ("RPT" or the "Corporation") (TSX VENTURE:RPT) is pleased announce that RPT and ArPetrol Inc. ("ArPetrol") have now entered into a definitive agreement dated December 23, 2010 (the "Agreement") in connection with the arm's length business combination of RPT and ArPetrol which was previously announced on November 22, 2010. The Agreement contemplates the following (collectively, the "Transactions"):



-- under the terms of the Agreement, a wholly-owned subsidiary of RPT will amalgamate by way of a plan of arrangement (the "Amalgamation") with ArPetrol and pursuant thereto RPT will issue 7.494 common shares of RPT (each an "RPT Share") for each common share of ArPetrol (each an "ArPetrol Share") at a deemed price of $0.13 per RPT Share for aggregate deemed consideration of approximately $27.9 million; -- a new management team will be appointed led by Timothy Thomas as President and Chief Executive Officer, Ian Habke as Chief Financial Officer, Ian Moffat as Vice President, Exploration and Troy Wagner as Vice President, Argentina (the "New Management") (see biographical information below); -- a new board of directors will be comprised of five of the current directors of ArPetrol: Claudio Ghersinich (Chairman), Abdel Badwi, Jeffrey Boyce, Timothy Thomas and Ronald Williams, as well as Michelle Gahagan who is a current director of RPT (the "New Directors") (see biographical information below);-- RPT will be recapitalized through the previously announced private placement (the "Private Placement") of up to 207,693,000 subion receipts of RPT ("Subion Receipts") at a price of $0.13 per Subion Receipt for aggregate gross proceeds of up to approximately $27 million which is expected to close on January 11, 2011 and for which the agents have been granted a 10% option (the "Agents' Option") to increase the size of the Private Placement prior to closing by up to an additional 20,769,300 Subion Receipts or approximately $2.7 million. Notwithstanding the above, the Agreement provides that receipt of a minimum of $14.3 million in gross proceeds from the Private Placement is a mutual condition precedent for both parties to the closing of the Amalgamation (unless amended or waived); and -- RPT will be continued to the Province of Alberta under the name "ArPetrol Ltd.".

Trading of RPT Shares has been halted pending finalization of the terms of the Transactions and this news release describing the Transactions. Trading of RPT Shares is expected to resume on or about December 29, 2010.

Pro-Forma Highlights

Assuming the completion of the Transactions (which is targeted for on or around March 15, 2011), the Corporation is expected to have the following attributes (on a pro forma basis):

"Gross Reserves" are ArPetrol's working interest (operating or non-operating) share before deduction of royalties and without including any royalty interests of ArPetrol. 3. Assumes completion of the maximum Private Placement and exercise in full of the Agents' Option for an aggregate of approximately $29.7 million from the Private Placement. In addition to the Private Placement, this working capital amount includes $1.2 million raised from the ArPetrol Convertible Debentures referred to below. 4. This represents natural gas production of 2.1MMcf/d with associated condensate production of approximately 10 Bbls/d. The term "boe" may be misleading, particularly if used in isolation. A boe conversion of 6 Mcf:1 bbl is based upon an energy equivalency conversion method primarily applicable at the burner tip and it does not represent a value equivalency at the well head.

Upon completion of the Transactions, the Corporation is expected to be debt free with a working capital position of approximately $39 million (net of transaction costs and based on the assumptions in note 3 above). In Argentina, the Corporation will own and operate 100% of approximately 375 boepd of production from its Faro Virgenes concession. The Corporation's Argentine assets will also include expected high productivity redevelopment wells, several anticipated high impact, low cost exploration targets, a strategically located 85 MMcf/d gas plant (at full capacity) and a 65% working interest in 60,244 gross acres of undeveloped lands.

Merits of the Transaction and Corporate Strategy

The Transactions will provide the Corporation with an experienced management team and board of directors to execute a fully-funded capital program on an inventory of drilling opportunities in Argentina. The Transactions are expected to provide the resources necessary for growth of ArPetrol's current production and reserves base.

The Corporation's growth strategy is expected to have the following elements:



- Focus on expanding its core operation and cash-flow base in Argentina;- Drill low cost and high reward exploration wells identified in Argentina;- Drill low risk and high impact redevelopment wells at Faro Virgenes in Argentina; and- Pursue strategic acquisitions in South America.

The Corporation's target for organic growth is projected to be approximately 2,000 boepd by the end of 2011 based on the planned capital program, development success and other assumptions set forth elsewhere in this press release.

Boards of Directors' Recommendations

The board of directors of each of RPT and ArPetrol has considered the Amalgamation at length and has, based upon the verbal fairness opinion of its respective financial advisors and other considerations, unanimously determined that the Transactions are fair to their respective shareholders and are in the best interests of RPT and ArPetrol, respectively, and recommends that its respective shareholders approve the Transactions. The board of directors and officers of each of RPT (holding approximately 0.4% of the RPT Shares) and ArPetrol (holding approximately 46% of the ArPetrol Shares) have entered into support agreements in which they have agreed, among other things, to vote in favour of the Transactions, subject to certain conditions.

New Management Team

The New Management brings a long and successful track record in the international and Canadian oil and gas sectors. This experience spans all areas of the upstream oil and gas business, including conventional and unconventional resource plays and operational success in numerous countries worldwide, including Canada, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, UK, the Middle East, Africa and Indonesia. Timothy J. Thomas, P.Eng., President & CEO

Mr. Thomas is a professional engineer with more than 32 years of oil and gas experience. Most recently, Tim was Senior Vice President Canadian Oil and Gas and an officer at Nexen Inc. (TSX, NYSE), a successful oil & gas company with assets in Canada, US, UK, Yemen, Nigeria and Colombia. He served in senior executive roles in Canada, Yemen, UK and Indonesia. During his 18 year career with Nexen, he was instrumental in identifying and positioning the company in the Horn River shale gas property and maintaining Canadian production levels through selective investments. While the President and General Manager in Yemen he identified and led the capital investments to raise production to a plateau rate of 230,000 boepd. Ian Habke, CA, CFO

Other roles with Nexen have included Finance Director for their UK operations and VP Finance for Yemen. In these positions Mr. Habke was an integral member of the in-country management groups directing the daily operations of these assets. His corporate roles have included President of Nexen Energy Holdings International in the UK and assignments in financial reporting and budgeting and strategic planning. Ian Moffat, P. Geol., Vice President, Exploration

Mr. Wagner is a professional engineer and MBA graduate with 18 years of engineering and management experience. Prior to joining ArPetrol in 2007 as the in-country manager in Argentina, Mr. Wagner was COO and VP Engineering of Elmworth Energy/Triangle USA Petroleum (OTC - US), a company focused on developing domestic and international shale gas projects. Mr. Wagner also spent 10 years at NAL Resources Management Ltd. (TSX) managing assets with combined production of 36,000 boepd. As the Vice President of Operations at NAL, Mr. Wagner was responsible for leading all technical and operations staff with annual Capital and Operating budgets of over $175 million and $110 million per year, respectively.

Claudio Ghersinich is an independent businessman and professional engineer with more than 30 years of oil and gas experience. He is a co-founder and former Executive VP and VP Business Development of Vermilion Energy Trust (TSX). Abby Badwi is an international energy executive and professional geologist with more than 35 years experience in the exploration, development and production of oil and gas fields in North America, South America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Mr. Badwi has been a director of ArPetrol since its inception. He is currently President & CEO of Bankers Petroleum Ltd. (TSX, London-AIM), an oil & gas company with heavy oil operations in Albania. Jeffrey S. Boyce, Director

Mr. Boyce is Chairman & CEO of Sure Energy Inc. (TSX). Previously, Mr. Boyce was the President & CEO of Clear Energy Inc. (formerly TSX) and prior thereto, President & CEO, co-founder of Vermilion Resources Ltd. As one of the founders, Mr. Boyce was directly involved in stewardship of Vermilion Resources Ltd. which grew from having $200,000 in the bank in 1994 to a business with a current enterprise value exceeding $3 billion. Michelle Gahagan, Director

Ms. Gahagan is currently a principal in a privately-held merchant bank based in Vancouver and London. Prior to the commencement of her involvement in merchant banking five years ago, Ms. Gahagan graduated from Queens University Law School and practiced corporate law for 20 years. Ms. Gahagan has extensive experience advising companies with respect to international tax-driven structures, mergers and acquisitions. Ms. Gahagan has successfully completed the Investment Management Certificate course and is a Qualified Person under the Financial Services Authority (UK) regime. Ms. Gahagan has been the president of RPT Resources Ltd. since the fall of 2009 and is currently the managing director of Northern Rand Resource Corp. and a director of Bowood Energy Corp.

Ronald A. Williams, CA, Director

Mr. Williams is Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Questfire Energy Corp., a private oil and gas company. Prior thereto he was the Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Stonefire Energy Corp (formerly TSXV), a public company sold in 2010, and prior thereto, Director, Finance for Vermilion Energy Trust (TSX). He joined the ArPetrol Board in June 2007 and brings over 19 years of domestic and international oil and gas industry experience. Mr. Williams has an extensive background in the areas of audit, finance, and taxation as well as property and corporate acquisitions.

The New Directors will become the board of directors of the Corporation immediately following the effective time of the Amalgamation.

Private Placement

As previously announced, on December 16, 2010, RPT entered into an agreement with a syndicate of agents led by Raymond James Ltd. and including Canaccord Genuity Corp. (the "Agents") providing for the issuance on a private placement agency basis of up to 207,693,000 Subion Receipts at a price of $0.13 per Subion Receipt for aggregate gross proceeds of up to $27 million. In addition, RPT has granted the Agents the Agents' Option to increase the size of the Private Placement by up to an additional 20,769,300 Subion Receipts or $2.7 million, exercisable prior to the closing of the Private Placement. Closing of the Private Placement is expected to occur on or about January 11, 2011 and is subject to receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals, including the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange ("TSXV"). Each Subion Receipt will represent the right to automatically receive one RPT Share and one common share purchase warrant ("RPT Financial Warrant"). Each RPT Financial Warrant will entitle the holder thereof to purchase one RPT Share at a price of $0.26 at any time prior to the date that is two years after the closing of the Private Placement.

The Subion Receipts will be issued pursuant to the terms of a subion receipt agreement and the gross proceeds of the Private Placement will be held in escrow by an escrow agent. Each Subion Receipt will automatically be exchanged, without payment of any additional consideration or further action on the part of the holder thereof, into one RPT Share and one RPT Financial Warrant upon delivery of a notice to the escrow agent that the escrow release conditions have been satisfied, including the receipt of any necessary government, regulatory and shareholder approvals.

Provided that the notice is delivered to the escrow agent on or before March 31, 2011 pursuant to the terms of the subion receipt agreement, the net proceeds of the Private Placement will be released from escrow to the Corporation. If the notice is not provided to the escrow agent on or before March 31, 2011 pursuant to the terms of the subion receipt agreement, the Agreement is terminated, or RPT or ArPetrol advises the Agents or announces to the public that it does not intend to proceed with the Amalgamation, each Subion Receipt will be cancelled and each holder of Subion Receipts will be entitled to receive its investment plus interest.

The Agreement provides that receipt of a minimum of $14.3 million in gross proceeds from the Private Placement is a mutual condition precedent for both parties to the closing of the Amalgamation (unless amended or waived). The Agents will receive a commission of 4.5% of the gross proceeds raised under the Private Placement. The net proceeds from the Private Placement will be used to fund the Corporation's exploration and redevelopment program and for general working capital purposes.

In addition, ArPetrol has recently issued to certain board members convertible debentures in the aggregate principal amount of $1.2 million ("ArPetrol Convertible Debentures") and 1,231,753 common share purchase warrants ("ArPetrol Financial Warrants"). In accordance with the their terms, immediately prior to the Amalgamation, the ArPetrol Convertible Debentures will be converted into ArPetrol Shares on the basis of one ArPetrol Share per $0.97422 of principal amount outstanding. Pursuant to the Amalgamation, these ArPetrol Shares will then be exchanged for RPT Shares at a ratio of 7.494:1. The ArPetrol Financial Warrants will also be exchanged at a ratio of 7.494:1 on the Amalgamation for common share purchase warrants of RPT having the same terms as the RPT Financial Warrants issued pursuant to the conversion of the Subion Receipts.

Overview of the Transaction, Incentives and Capitalization

Under the terms of the Agreement, each outstanding ArPetrol Share will be exchanged for 7.494 RPT Shares at a deemed price of $0.13 per RPT Share for aggregate deemed consideration of approximately $27.9 million. RPT currently has approximately 117.0 million RPT Shares outstanding and ArPetrol currently has approximately 28.5 million ArPetrol Shares outstanding. There are no control persons of either RPT or ArPetrol.

The pro forma capitalization of the Corporation following the Amalgamation is described in the table below on the basis of both the minimum Private Placement and the maximum Private Placement. Following the closing of the Transactions, assuming completion of the maximum Private Placement and exercise in full of the Agents' Option and the other assumptions set forth below: (i) the Corporation will have approximately 570 million RPT Shares outstanding, of which approximately 14% of the RPT Shares will be owned or controlled by the New Management and New Directors; (ii) on a diluted basis, the New Management and New Directors will own or control approximately 14% of approximately 835 million diluted RPT Shares; and (iii) there will be outstanding options representing on an aggregate basis approximately 4.3% of the issued and outstanding RPT Shares. The Corporation's options (which are described below) will be subject to a rolling option plan for up to 10% of the RPT Shares outstanding from time to time and will be subject to TSXV policies and guidelines.

Expiring Performance Warrants: This amount also includes 1,498,800 of performance warrants which reflects the vested portion performance warrants with an exercise price of $0.134 which will be held by persons who will not be New Management, New Directors or employees of the Corporation and which are expected to expire within 30 days following completion of the Amalgamation. This amount excludes 2,997,600 of performance warrants which represents the unvested portion of such persons' performance warrants with the same exercise price but which are subject to vesting thresholds of $0.400 and $0.534 and which will also expire within 30 days following completion of the Amalgamation. These performance warrants are also not expected to be part of the "security based compensation arrangements" of the Corporation because they were granted at the time of earlier financings of ArPetrol.

Timing and Required Approvals

Completion of the Amalgamation is subject to the satisfaction of a number of conditions under the Agreement, including receipt of the approval of the TSXV, approval of the Amalgamation and election of the New Directors by not less than 50% of the shareholders of RPT who vote at the RPT shareholder meeting, approval of the Amalgamation by not less than two-thirds of the shareholders of ArPetrol who vote at the ArPetrol shareholder meeting and approval by the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta. RPT has applied for and received a sponsorship exemption pursuant to the policies of the TSXV. A joint information circular is expected to be mailed to RPT and ArPetrol shareholders in early-February and the annual and special meetings of shareholders of each of RPT and ArPetrol are expected to be held in early-March 2011.

It is expected that the Amalgamation will be closed on or about March 15, 2011 on the assumption that RPT and ArPetrol receive the requisite approvals and all of the conditions to closing are satisfied. In light of the pending shareholder meeting to vote on the Amalgamation and election of the New Directors, RPT applied to the British Colombia Registrar of Companies and obtained an extension of the deadline for its annual general meeting until March 31, 2011.

Termination of the Agreement

The terms of the Agreement provide for termination of the Agreement and the Amalgamation if the Amalgamation is not completed by an outside date of March 31, 2011, unless extended by the parties. In addition to the terms of the Agreement discussed above, the Agreement contains reciprocal non-solicitation covenants, customary representations, warranties, covenants and conditions and provides for reciprocal non-completion fees under certain circumstances of $1,000,000 or a reimbursement of costs of up to $750,000 (depending on the type of break-fee event). Financial Advisors

Raymond James Ltd. is acting as financial advisor to RPT with respect to the Amalgamation and provided a verbal fairness opinion to RPT's board in respect of the consideration to be issued by RPT pursuant to the Amalgamation.

Canaccord Genuity Corp. is acting as financial advisor to ArPetrol with respect to the Amalgamation and provided a verbal fairness opinion to ArPetrol's board in respect of the consideration to be received by ArPetrol's shareholders pursuant to the Amalgamation.

Raymond James Ltd. and Canaccord Genuity Corp. are also acting as underwriters in respect of the Private Placement.

A written fairness opinion of each of the financial advisors is expected to be included in the joint information circular to be mailed to RPT and ArPetrol shareholders.

About ArPetrol Inc.

ArPetrol is a Calgary, Alberta based private company engaged in oil and gas exploration and production in Argentina. It was incorporated under the Business Corporations Act (Alberta) on September 17, 2004 and in July 2007 purchased Geodyne Energy S.A. ("GESA"). GESA (now known as ArPetrol Argentina S.A.) was a private Argentine oil and gas company with assets in the Province of Santa Cruz. Through this purchase, ArPetrol owns and operates 100% of the Faro Virgenes concession which currently produces natural gas and condensate at approximately 375 boepd from two wells in the Springhill formation. ArPetrol has planned a three well redevelopment program to be conducted in 2011 and 2012 which will target the underdeveloped crest of the structure. Costs of all three wells are currently estimated to be approximately $22 million.

In conjunction, ArPetrol's technical team in Argentina has identified a potential onshore exploration prospect on its 100% owned and operated Faro Virgenes concession. ArPetrol has planned to test the possible oil accumulation through an exploration well in 2011 at an estimated cost of $1.8 million.

In addition, ArPetrol's assets include a 100% interest in a 85 MMcf/d gas plant (at full capacity) strategically located on the Faro Virgenes concession and a 20% operated working interest (with an option to increase to a 50% working interest at casing point) in the Blanco de Los Olivos Oriental ("BOO") and Catriel Viejo Sur exploration permits. Both exploration permits are located in the hydrocarbon rich Neuquen Basin in the province of Rio Negro. ArPetrol has scheduled an exploitation program of two to three shallow gas wells on its BOO permit for late 2011. Total costs of the program are currently estimated to be between $0.5 and $1.3 million (depending on final working interest).

ArPetrol Reserves Data

Gaffney, Cline & Associates Inc. ("GCA") has prepared an audit examination (the "GCA Report") of the hydrocarbon liquid and natural gas reserves of ArPetrol dated April 29, 2010. The effective date of the GCA Report is December 31, 2009 and it consists of an audit of the hydrocarbon liquid and natural gas reserves attributable to ArPetrol's interest in the Faro Virgenes concession as originally estimated by ArPetrol. The GCA Report has been prepared using assumptions and methodology guidelines outlined in the Canadian Oil and Gas Evaluation Handbook and in accordance with National Instrument 51-101 - Standards of Disclosure for Oil and Gas Activities.

The following table sets forth the natural gas and natural gas liquid reserve estimates attributable to ArPetrol's interest in the Faro Virgenes concession as presented in the GCA Report. The reserve estimates provided herein are estimates only and there is no guarantee that the estimated reserves will be recovered. Actual natural gas and natural gas liquid reserves may be greater than or less than the estimates provided herein. Although the gas structure extends beyond ArPetrol's concession limits and ArPetrol has made application for a 10-year extension to the concession term, the reserve estimates provided herein are based only on the reserves estimated inside the concession limits and during its primary term (through 2016).

Management of ArPetrol has confirmed that no material work has been performed on ArPetrol's properties since the date of the GCA Report. ArPetrol will prepare an updated independent audit examination of its hydrocarbon liquid and natural gas reserves in accordance with National Instrument 51-101 - Standards of Disclosure for Oil and Gas Activities and information from such updated report will be included in the joint information circular to be provided to RPT and ArPetrol shareholders in connection with the Transactions. Management of ArPetrol does not currently expect that the reserves estimates in such updated report will differ materially from the reserve estimates disclosed above. However, ArPetrol has made application for a 10-year extension to the concession term which, if received prior to such report, is expected to have a positive impact on the reserve estimates. Although management of ArPetrol is optimistic that the extension will be granted on a timely basis, there is currently no certainty as to whether the extension will be granted or the timing thereof.
