Galena has been put together by extremely strong management with access to good deal flow and capital.

hier mal ein ausschnitt was man da so in etwa vorhatt:

      Projects
The purpose will be the technical focus and will create massive market cap potential

Each property must meet ALL 3 selection criteria:
must have potential value in excess of $250 Million
must have production potential of 500 t/day (min)
must have viable production within 18 to 24 months

      Erste Priorität: Galena Hauptprojekte
Ziel: Entwicklung von jährlich drei Galena
      Hauptprojekten.
      Auswahlkriterien:
      • Mindestens C$250,000,000+
      Wertschöpfungs-Potential

      • Produktions-Potential von mindestens
      500+Tonnen pro Tag
      Produktionsbeginn innerhalb von 24
      Monaten

      "Our Mission Statement:
To aggressively build a well financed, premium
public, mining company run by dedicated experienced
      SENIOR management, with projects where
      production can withstand commodity fluctuations
and therefore create a legacy in Mexico, South
      America and Canada."

Galena Capital has three-pronged business approachby Eric Hoesgen & Dennis Hoesgen

IN OUR LAST ARTICLE we discussed the current economics of mining in Latin America and provided examples of companies
that have had proven success there. In closing, we briefly mentioned Galena Capital Corp. [FYI.P-TSXV], a CPC (Capital Pool Company) that was halted and announced its qualifying transaction. Galena will also position itself in Latin America, with its target transaction located in Mexico. In our opinion, this is a spectacular
opportunity to add a new company with a favourable upside potential to your speculative portfolio. What makes Galena so appealing is its structured business model, its strong management team, and its accessibility to projects.
For new readers, let’s recap why we believe Latin America to be a great place to invest in mining. The mining sector in Latin America dates back hundreds of years and today employs over 2 million people. That’s in Mexico, Peru and Brazil alone. They are close to the world’s fifth largest in economic size with a GDP of $2.26 trillion.
There are many areas that have had a proven history of mining with no modern mining methods applied to them. Also, there is the cost effective labour force.
Galena’s experienced management team also recognized the opportunity there. You may already be familiar with Arni Johannson, CEO/chairman. Johannson is the founder, chairman and partner of the Fortress Group, a company involved in raising
investment capital for public companies. Johannson has extensive experience in working
with publicly listed companies and is presently a director of Mega Uranium Inc. [MGA.TSX], founder and a director of Titan Uranium Inc. [TUE-TSXV] and a director of Fortress Paper [FTP.TSX]. The company also boasts an active management and board including Stu Blattner who brings a wealth of knowledge with 25 years experience heading the worlds’ leading down-hole drilling
company. Jeff Scott, MBA, is a veteran in the resource industry having co-founded companies such as Saxon Energy Services [SES-TSX] and Gran Tierra Energy [GTRE-OTC.BB], which, in total employ over 1,000 workers. He is also a director of Essential Energy Services [ESN.UN-TSX] and president
of Postell Energy which has over 150 producing oil wells. John Seaman, director, is the former CFO of Wolfden Resources and current CFO of Premier Gold Mines [PG-TSX] and Pediment Exploration [PEZ-TSXV]. Tracy Moore, CA/CFO, has 25 years public market experience and is a director of Alberta Star Development [ASX-TSXV].
Galena’s business model is a three-pronged approach that categorizes projects – Priority One, Treasury and Galena Goodwill. Priority One projects will be the subject of technical focus and will create substantial market cap potential. Each property will be selected based on specific criteria: each project must have potential value in excess of $250 million, production potential of (500) t/day (minimum),
and have viable production within 18 to 24 months. Galena’s Treasury projects are those that don’t qualify for Priority One expenditures, but still have strong technical
merit. The purpose of Galena Goodwill projects is to provide an outlet for property owners to market their assets as well as providing
a resource for other public companies when looking for properties to acquire.
Galena is fortunate enough to have accessibility
to over 30 projects in Latin America.
The qualifying transaction project is the La Suerte (the luck) property acquired from Alfredo Parra Davila, president/CEO of Rochester Resources [RCT-TSXV]. The claims are 100% owned by Minas Vallarta and are located 20 kilometres South of Tepic, Mexico. The 43-101 has been completed by Ron Parent on the three claim blocks and confirms
the zone is potentially open to depth. The structures are mineralized and also host hydrothermal alterations. Two of the three structures show signs of epithermal deposits.
This project is currently being evaluated to see if it falls into Priority One status, but, if not, it will have enough technical merit to be classified as a Treasury project. Galena is following a similar, proven, business model with respect to evaluating projects as was used with Rochester Resources
The Venture Group at Canaccord Capital, which consists of Eric and Dennis Hoesgen, Rob Anderson and David Kaiser, is leading the financing for Galena. The financing will issue a total of 4,500,000 shares at $0.95 a unit with a ½ warrant exercisable at $1.65 per share for two years. Following the completion of the qualifying transaction, the final Galena structure will consist of 21,300,000 shares issued and outstanding, $5,955,000 in treasury, and 700+ shareholders.
We feel that the company will be well poised to be a leader in Latin America.n

"...i can only speak from an investors point
of view. I agree it has very strong management with an excellent business
model. I have invested myself in Galena and expect many good things to come
in the New Year. There model is very similar to Rochester's model of
acquiring near term production properties and bringing them to production
      status"

TOP PICKS FROM JOHN EMBRY JUST OUT 18-Dec-07 01:28 pm Metals and Mining – Junior Resource Sector - John Embry
To Buy or Not to Buy? - That is the Question
It is an accepted fact that one country, the United States, was the driver of global economic growth over the past century. Therefore, is it conceivable that adifferent country or countries could be the drivers in the next 100 years should the US economic situation deteriorate further? We believe that not only is this plausible, but the most likely event given the growth possibilities in China and India. That said, we reiterate our bullish attitude to the resource sector.
In our opinion, the time to buy is when no one else wants to. Conversely, we think the time to sell is when everyone else wants to buy. To do just that can be one of the most difficult decisions an investor has to make. The trick is to make an intelligent decision, not an emotional one. Leaving your emotions out of the decision making process will not only make your life easier, but can ultimately improve the performance of your portfolio.
There are several factors affecting the market right now. There is the asset backed commercial paper liquidity issue, the sub-prime mortgage meltdown, dropping base metal prices and a general lack of direction. All these issues combined with visions of sugar plums dancing in our heads can make for not just a painfully boring market, but also a market with many opportunities. Many of the holdings in our portfolios have come way off their highs. We consider this an opportunity to not only reaccumulate positions but to average down on existing core positions. Stocks that we like include Rochester Resources (RCT-V), Salazar Resources (SRL-V), Galena Capital (FYI-V), Blue Sky Uranium (BSK-V), United Reef Limited ( URP-V), and Prime Meridian Resources (PMR-V).

Globex Mining kassiert meines Wissens hauptsächlich Royalities,
      Longview ist ein direktes Beteiligungsunternehmen
(hauptsächlich Werststeigerung durch Performance der Beteiligungen)
+die hier versuchen nochmal ganz was anderes:

recht anspruchsvolle Minimalkriterien an alle Ihre

"The trading halt was the result of Galena going through the process of our Qualify Transaction (QT) which has now been finalized.
This is normal procedure. With that said, we expect to be trading early - mid this week.
In terms of a price at which we will resume trading, your guess is as good as mine right now. We were very oversubscribed on the financing, so I would expect alot of interest in the company once we begin trading."

"I think it is important to
understand that Galena has a very strong Management team, strong access to capital and of equal importance a strong share structure...these all bode well for our shareholders.
I can share that there are multiple opportunities for the company and management is busy vetting them."

"There are 21,300,000 shares I/O of which roughly 4 milion are free trading.
Mkt cap for Galena in 12 months I wont speculate on, but again look at mngt, structure, and potential deal flow (currently 50 plus projects under review). In terms of promotion, you can check our website under 'Events' we plan on attending, as well as panning to be over your neck of the woods sometime in the new year."

Galena to acquire the Norma Mining Group with six projects in Mexico & Peru
      1/15/2008

      VANCOUVER, Jan 15, 2008 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ --
Galena Capital Corp. (TSXV: FYI) ("Galena" or the "Company"), a Vancouver based company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange (the "Exchange"), is pleased to announce that it has entered into a Letter Agreement effective January 15, 2008 with Norma Mines Limited ("Norma Canada") under which the Company has agreed to acquire Norma Canada (the "Acquisition"). The Acquisition is an arm's length transaction within the meaning of the Exchange's policies.

Norma Canada owns interests in two prospective mineral exploration properties in Mexico and four prospective mineral exploration properties in Peru (the "Properties") through its wholly-owned Mexican and Peruvian subsidiaries. Norma Canada and its subsidiaries are known as the Norma Mining Group. The Norma Mining Group is actively pursuing additional projects from its extensive list of prospects, six of which it anticipates being worthy of additional consideration.

The Norma Mining Group currently employs more than a dozen exploration geologists and mining engineers, headed by Norma Canada's President Danson Tolman, who collectively have extensive knowledge of mineral exploration and mining operations in Latin America and South America and a deep network of contacts from which to access additional properties.

By acquiring the Norma Mining Group, Galena will accelerate its ability to aggressively pursue and aggregate highly prospective gold, silver and other metal projects in Latin America and South America. Arni Johannson, CEO & Chairman of Galena commented: "The acquisition of the Norma Mining Group involves both the acquisition of outstanding properties and an enhanced level of expertise that will enable Galena to be well on its way to executing its three step business plan introduced to investors when its Qualifying Transaction closed in November 2007."

      Proposed Acquisition

Under the terms of the Letter Agreement, the Company will acquire all of the issued securities of Norma Canada from its shareholders in exchange for 4,200,000 common shares in the capital of the Company.

Certain of these common shares will be subject to escrow in accordance with the TSX Venture Exchange's policies.

      Proposed Private Placement

Concurrent with the completion of the Acquisition, the Company proposes to complete a brokered private placement consisting of 1,500,000 units of the Company at a price of C$2.00 per unit, for gross proceeds of up to C $3,000,000. Each unit will consist of one common share and one-half of one transferable common share purchase warrant, with each whole warrant entitling the holder to purchase an additional common share in the capital of the Company for a price of $2.50 for a period of two years from the closing of the private placement.

The Company may pay finder's fees in connection with the private placement within the limits set by the Exchange.

Canaccord Capital Corporation has agreed to act as the Company's agent for the purpose of completing the private placement and will be paid a cash fee of 7% of the gross proceeds of the financing, agent's warrants to purchase up to that number of common shares in the capital of the Company that equals 7% of the number of units issued under the private placement at a price of $2.50 per common share for a period of two years from the closing of the private placement, a corporate finance fee of 15,000 units (having the same terms as those issued to the purchasers) and $10,000 in cash as an administration fee.

The net proceeds of the private placement will be used to fund the costs associated with completing the Acquisition and land maintenance obligations relating to the Properties, exploratory work programs on selected properties owned by Norma Canada as detailed below, and for general working capital purposes in operating the Norma Mining Group.

      Description of the Properties

Norma Canada's two subsidiaries own, or hold options to purchase, various interests in six prospective mineral exploration and development projects in Mexico and Peru. The Properties cover an area in excess 30,620 acres.

Galena intends to direct its initial attention to exploration work on the Maria project in Mexico and the Patricia project in Peru, where the Company proposes to expend approximately $500,000 per project over the next 12 months in preliminary exploration work with a view to completing a technical report in accordance with National Instrument 43-101 on those projects that show merit as a precursor for more advanced developmental work.

      Maria Project, Mexico

Pursuant to an option agreement dated October 19, 2007, Norma Mines SA de CV has the option for a period of one year to acquire 100% of the legal and beneficial interest in the San Juan Nepomuceno project for a cash payment of US$3,000,000.

This project is located north of Mexico City and comprises an area of approximately 550 hectares. It hosts numerous free gold and silver structures running over an area 8 km long by 6 km wide. Preliminary sampling undertaken by the Norma Mining Group in 2007 included sample sets with up to 500g per tonne silver.

      Patricia, Peru

Pursuant to a mineral exploitation agreement dated December 18, 2007, Norma Mines Peru S.A. has the right to acquire 100% of the legal and beneficial ownership in the Patricia properties in consideration for paying a total of US$2,225,000, completing a mineral exploration and exploitation program, paying all maintenance costs on the concessions and granting the vendor a 2% Net Smelter Return royalty over production from the concessions.

The Patricia project is located in Ancash, in north central Peru, and consists of 10 mineral exploration and exploitation concessions totalling approximately 3,900 hectares that have numerous areas of disseminated gold mineralization in anomalous intrusive and shale structures. More than 10 mantos have been identified to date in the project area and preliminary work by the Norma Mining Group has identified six anomalous areas returning samples with over 5g per tonne gold.

The sample results discussed in this news release do not conform to the standards of National Instrument 43-101 and should not be relied upon by the reader.

      Conditions Precedent

The parties' obligations to complete the Acquisition are subject to the satisfaction of the usual conditions precedent including:

      (a) all necessary approvals of the Exchange and all other regulatory
authorities and third parties to the Acquisition and the private
      placement being obtained;

      (b) no adverse material change shall have occurred in the business,
affairs, financial condition assets or operations of the Company,
Norma Canada or its subsidiaries or the Properties prior to
      completion of the Acquisition;

      (c) the completion of the brokered private placement on the terms set
      forth above; and

      (d) both parties being satisfied with the results of its due diligence
review in connection with the Acquisition.

US$.

Drill Program has commenced on The Maureen Property (formerly La Suerte Project)

Vancouver, B.C., February 01, 2008 Galena Capital Corp.( TSXV: FYI) (the Company), a Vancouver based company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange (the Exchange) is pleased to announce it has commenced its drilling program on the Maureen Property (formerly the La Suerte Project) South East of Tepic City, Mexico.

Galena has begun its Phase One work program on the Maureen Project with 7 holes planned totalling approximately 1,500 meters. The company intends to disseminate assay results as relevant data becomes available (4 to 6 weeks). Today workers are on hole #2; drill core from hole #1 indicates the vein structure is running 1.3 meters in width. A simultaneous field program will begin while the preparation for the continuation of soil sampling is ongoing.

With numerous projects under review Galena’s extensive geological team will provide material updates as we introduce these properties to our shareholders and potential investors states Arni Johannson, the companys Chairman.
As the company moves these properties from the under review category to title ownership clear communication to shareholders is going to be key. With that in mind as of January 22, 2008 any Galena owned project in Mexico will begin with the letter M, and any Galena owned project in Peru will begin with the letter P.

Galena Capital Corps mission statement is to aggressively build a well financed, premium public company run by dedicated experienced senior management, with projects where production can withstand commodity fluctuations and therefore create a legacy in Mexico and South America.

Being a near term producer Galena’s unique three stage business plan will help extract maximum value from the over 70 projects its team has access to. For further information please visit www.GalenaCorp.com or contact the company directly at the contact information provided below.

I went to the presentation at Canaccord yesterday; FYI will do very this year. IMHO. The acquisition is providing some great properties. The ground crews in Mexico and Peru are Very capable, and seem eager to get to work. The share structure post acquisition will still be tight, and I'm looking forward to the news that is expected in the next 4-6 weeks.

Galena Completes Acquisition of the Norma Mines Group and Private Placement
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - March 25, 2008) - Galena Capital Corp. (TSX VENTURE:FYI) (the "Company" or "Galena"), a Vancouver based company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange (the "Exchange"), is pleased to announce the completion of the acquisition (the "Acquisition") of all of the issued and outstanding common shares of Norma Mines Limited ("Norma Canada") and the concurrent closing of the previously announced C$3,000,000 brokered private placement.

      The Acquisition

Pursuant to the Acquisition, Galena acquired all of the issued and outstanding securities of Norma Canada, a British Columbia company, in consideration of the issuance of 4,200,000 common shares of the Company. These common shares are subject to a four month hold period that expires on July 21, 2008.

Norma Mines Limited is the parent company of both Norma Mines S.A. de C.V., a Mexican private company, and Norma Peru S.A., a Peruvian private company (collectively with Norma Canada, the "Norma Mines Group"). These companies hold rights in and to the gold and silver exploration properties discussed below under "Description of Properties".

The Norma Mines Group currently employs more than a dozen exploration geologists and mining engineers, headed by Norma Canada's President Danson Tolman, who collectively possess extensive experience in mineral exploration and mining operations in Latin America and South America and have an extensive network of contacts from which to access additional properties.

      Concurrent Financing

Concurrent with the closing of the Acquisition, the Company closed a brokered private placement of 1,500,000 units at a purchase price of $2.00 per unit for aggregate gross proceeds of $3,000,000. Each unit consists of one common share of the Company and one-half of one transferable common share purchase warrant. Each whole warrant entitles its holder to purchase one additional common share of Galena at a purchase price of $2.50 for a period of two years from the closing of the private placement. The net proceeds of the private placement will be used to fund the costs of initial exploratory exploration work on the properties listed below to further evaluate their potential and for general working capital purposes in operating the Galena group of companies.

(TSXV: FYI) (the "Company" or "Galena"), a Vancouver based company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange (the "Exchange") is pleased to announce phase one drill program has been completed on the Maureen Project. As previously announced the phase one program was expanded and the Company drilled a total of approximately 4,000 meters over 8 drill holes. The work program went smoothly and management was encouraged with how the work program proceeded. Initial assay results will be available within the next two weeks.
