      1987428 2011-12-07 2011-12-09 Indirect Ownership :
Pinetree Resource Partnership 10 - Acquisition or disposition in the public market -706,000 0.9708 2,044,000

      1955908 2011-10-07 2011-10-11 Indirect Ownership :
Pinetree Resource Partnership 10 - Acquisition or disposition in the public market -22,000 0.0100 2,838,500

Zone Resources Inc. Intersects 35.77% Iron Over 243.00 Metres on Labrador Trough Property

      VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 10, 2012) -

Editors Note: There is an infographic associated with this press release.

Click here to view the infographic version of the release, or enter this url: http://goo.gl/nj53c.

Zone Resources Inc. (Zone) (TSX VENTURE:ZNR)(FRANKFURT:7ZR) is pleased to announce the results of diamond drill hole ZR11-08 on the company's Girard iron ore property in the Labrador trough of northern Québec. The hole intersected iron formation with an average of 35.77 % Fe over 243.00 metres.

Drill hole ZR11-08 was drilled at -50° on a 5 kilometre long airborne magnetic anomaly in the western part of the Girard claim group. It was collared in magnetite-rich iron formation at the base of casing at 6.00 metres. The iron zone continued for 243.00 metres. Iron contents of individual samples over core lengths of between 1.50 and 2.00 metres ranged from 23.49% Fe up to a maximum 45.55% Fe, with an average of 35.77% Fe over the entire 243.00 metre intersection.

To view the airborne electromagnetic map with the plotted location for drill hole ZR11-08 visit the following link: http://www.zone-resources.com/image/girard_mag_survey_januar…

The dip of the iron zone, based on core angles, is approximately vertical. The hole was collared in iron formation, and so did not intersect the full width of the zone.

"We are excited about the potential of the Girard Project," stated Charles Desjardins, President and CEO of Zone Resources. "With numerous magnetic anomalies over an aggregate length of 75 kilometres, we plan to focus Zone's initial 2012 drill program at Girard. While our initial work will continue to focus on magnetite iron formations, the historical information has lead us to believe the property has excellent potential to yield higher grade hematite rich zones which we hope to begin to follow up on later in 2012."

The Girard claim group encompasses 602 claims with a total area of 28,238 hectares (69,747 acres). The airborne magnetic survey has outlined numerous anomalies: the aggregate length of all the magnetic anomalies believed to be caused by magnetite iron formation (with an amplitude over 1,000 nT), is approximately 75 kilometres in length and over 2 kilometres in width.

Hole ZR11-08 was the first and only hole to date on the 5-kilometre long anomaly. It was situated 21 kilometres west of ZR11-09, which was drilled on a separate, 9-kilometre long magnetic anomaly. ZR11-09 intersected 35.64% Fe over 137.00 metres. It also was a 50-degree inclined hole, was also collared in iron formation, and hence also did not test the full width of the magnetite zone.

Technical information in this news release has been prepared and/or reviewed by Michael Magrum, P.Eng., a Qualified Person as defined in NI 43-101. Analyses were performed by Activation Laboratories Ltd. using X-Ray fluorescence.

Furthermore, the Company reports that it has applied to the TSX Venture Exchange to extend 1,660,000 warrants priced at $0.30 due to expire January 19, 2012. The amended terms will allow the holders of the warrants to exercise them at the original price of $0.30 until January 19, 2014.

aussichtsreiches proj. aufbaut, sondern man schaut nebst cash- beständen/

im text heißt es, für mich etwas irreführend, The hole intersected iron formation with an average of 35.77 % Fe over 243.00 metres und andererseits Iron contents of individual samples over core lengths of between 1.50 and 2.00 metres ranged from 23.49% Fe up to a maximum 45.55% Fe.

      stellt sich die frage:
      Adriana Res. ---> Wisco
New Millennium Iron --> Tata Steel

Zone Resources Inc. Investigating Options to Expedite Exploration

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 16, 2012) - Zone Resources Inc. (Zone) (TSX VENTURE:ZNR)(FRANKFURT:7ZR) reports that the Company is evaluating a range of possible strategic options for its Labrador Trough Iron Properties located in Northern Quebec. The Company wishes to accelerate the exploration and development of its Labrador Trough Iron Properties.

In 2011 the company reported initial drill results which have been encouraging. These initial results together with an extensive land package provide an opportunity to seek potential strategic alliances with interested major companies. Such companies could provide the capacity to expedite the exploration and development of the assembled Labrador Trough Iron Properties, maximizing shareholder value.

This strategic initiative is ongoing and the Company will inform its shareholders if there are material developments to report.

The Girard Iron Property has magnetic anomalies with an aggregate length of some 75 kilometers. Recent diamond drill results from the Girard property include drill hole ZR11-08 which intersected iron formation with an average grade of 35.77% Fe over 243.00 meters (see press release January 10, 2012) and drill hole ZR11-09 which intersected iron formation with an average grade of 35.64% Fe over 137.00 meters (see press release December 7, 2011). To date, preliminary field work and an initial 2011 drill program has resulted in two drill holes reporting significant widths and encouraging iron analyses. In 2012, further field work is required to test the potential of the Girard Iron Property and three additional claim blocks that make up the company's Labrador Trough Iron Properties.

The Company confirms the acreage/hectares of the Labrador Trough Iron Properties as follows:
      PROPERTY ACREAGE HECTARAGE
      Girard 63,041.86 25,512.14
      Moore-Ross 35,059.11 14,187.92
      Bob Lake 5,080.39 2,055.96
      Knob Hill 2,971,51 1,202.53
      Totals 106,152.87 42,958.55

Technical information in this news release has been prepared and/or reviewed by Michael Magrum, P.Eng., a Qualified Person as defined in NI 43-101. Analyses were performed by Activation Laboratories Ltd. using X-Ray fluorescence.

Zone Resources Inc. Intersects 32.54% Iron Over 167.10 Metres on Labrador Trough Property
January 25, 2012 - 11:09:19 AM VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 25, 2012) - Zone Resources Inc. (Zone) (TSX VENTURE:ZNR)(FRANKFURT:7ZR) reports the results of diamond drill hole ZR11-07 on the company's Moore-Ross Mountain property in the Labrador Trough of northern Quebec. The hole intersected an average of 32.54% Fe over 167.10 metres.

Drill hole ZR11-07 was drilled vertically on coincident magnetic and gravity anomalies on the North Slope Zone on the Moore-Ross Mountain property. The hole was collared in magnetite-rich iron formation at the base of casing at 13.90 metres. Various phases of iron formation, mostly magnetite-dominant, continued to 181.00 metres. Total iron contents determined by X-Ray fluorescence analysis varied from 22.20% Fe to 45.92% Fe, with an average of 32.54% Fe over the entire 167.10 metre zone. Dips, as estimated from core angles, vary from 10 to 50 degrees, averaging about 30 degrees. A previous hole on the North Slope zone, ZR11-05, intersected 29.98% Fe over 85.20 metres, 1500 metres to the southeast of ZR11-07. It also was collared in iron formation.

The grade and width of this intersection are comparable with the two recently announced diamond drill holes on the company's Girard iron property, 70 kilometres to the southeast of Moore-Ross Mountain. ZR11-08 intersected 35.77% Fe over 243.00 metres and ZR11-09 cut 35.64% Fe over 137.00 metres. Both of these holes were 50-degree inclined holes on sub-vertical magnetite iron formations, and both were collared in iron mineralization.

Technical information in this news release has been prepared and/or reviewed by Michael Magrum, P.Eng., a Qualified Person as defined in NI 43-101. Analyses were performed by Activation Laboratories Ltd. using X-Ray fluorescence.

      JAN 12 6
      New Grandich Client Zone Resources

Having had very good fortune with Alderon Iron Ore and Cap-Ex Ventures, I’ve taken on another iron-ore player in the Labrador Trough. Clearly much more early stage and higher risk, the large-scale speculative gains opportunity is still fairly fresh in this play.

Zone Resources Inc. (ZNR –TSX-V) is a Canadian Small-cap junior with an impressive portfolio of iron-ore properties located in the highly prolific Labrador Trough of Quebec. Trading on the TSX-V under the symbol of ZNR, and on the Frankfurt exchange under the symbol 7ZR, Zone Resources Inc. (“Zone”) is the latest iron-ore junior to come out of the area with impressive initial drill results. With a current market cap of $7.2M CAD, I believe there is significant upside potential based on continued strong drill results and a pending 43-101 report anticipated in 2012.

Zone currently hosts 110,995 acres of mineral claims across four major properties with potential to host major iron ore resources. A major highlight of historical work includes 42.9% Fe over 197 feet (60.04 meters) drilled on the Moore property. Initial drilling from the winter 2011 work program has been extremely encouraging, with numbers running 35.64% Fe over 137.0 meters (news release Dec. 7, 2011 on Girard property), 29.98% Fe over 85.2 meters (news release Nov. 29, 2011 on Moore property) and pending results displaying a Magnetite occurrence over 243 meters DDH ZR-08 (news release Dec. 7, 2011 on Girard property). Continued drilling is planned into 2012 which should support an increase opportunity in shareholder value.

The Labrador Trough hosts a number of large deposits and has had a number of companies find success through discoveries, mergers and acquisitions and joint venture agreements:

Adriana Resources’ Lac Otelnuk Project (wherein Wuhan Iron and Steel Corp. has paid $120 million for a 60% interest). This project is believed to be one of the largest undeveloped iron ore projects in the world, valued in the billions.

New Millennium’s Kémag, Labmag and DSO projects (who have an option agreement with Tata Steel for a $4.9 billion development which includes the construction of a 750 kilometer slurry pipeline)

ArcellorMittal SA announced a $2.1-billion expansion of its Mont-Wright iron ore complex near the Labrador border. The Mont-Wright expansion will hike production at the project to 24 million tonnes from 14 million by 2013.

Cliffs Natural Resources Inc. agreed to buy Canada’s Consolidated Thompson Iron Mines Ltd. for approximately C$4.9 billion to expand iron-ore sales to Asia, because of a 19% ownership in Consolidated Thompson by Wuhan Iron and Steel Corp.

Cap-Ex Ventures has released results on their Block 103 property, with highlights of 159.9 metres grading 31.3%, 258 metres of iron formation. Currently trading with a $50 million market-cap after having only acquired their properties in December 2010

Champion Minerals released drilling results on their Moire Lake Project, highlights include 336.4 metres grading 27.7%, 156 metres grading 32.7%, 82.5 metres grading 27.7% total iron. Currently trading with a $135 million market-cap.

Alderon Iron Ore Corp. released their 43-101 resource estimate on the Kami

Property: Indicated resource of 490 million tonnes at 30.0% iron; inferred resource of 598 million tonnes at 30.3% iron contained within three zones: North Rose, Rose Central and Mills Lake. Plans to commence commercial production in 2015 at a rate of 8 million tonnes per year at a grade of 65.5% iron. Currently trading with a $240 million market-cap.

      Girard Iron Property Overview

The Girard Iron Property contains a minimum of 6 zones of iron mineralization, which were identified in historic work completed by the Quebec Labrador Development Company Limited between 1947 and 1960. It encompasses 602 claims with a total area of 28,238 hectares (69,747 acres). The Electromagnetic Survey flown earlier this year over the entire claim group has outlined numerous magnetic anomalies: the aggregate length of all the magnetic anomalies, believed to be caused by magnetite iron formation (with an amplitude over 1,000 nT), is approximately 75 kilometers in length and over 2 kilometers in width. Outcrop is limited and overburden is up to 25 feet (7.6 meters) deep. As a result, the property was not extensively worked during the period that the major iron mines of the Labrador Trough were developed near Schefferville and Labrador City.

Initial drilling intersected iron formation with an average of 35.64% Fe over 137.00 metres on drill hole ZR11-09. Drill hole ZR11-08 was drilled on a separate 5 kilometre long magnetic anomaly approximately 39 kilometers west of drill hole ZR11-09. Drill hole ZR11-08 intersected magnetite iron formation over a core length of 243 metres. Analyses of this hole are expected this month.

Keeping in mind this is truly a penny stock (closed at $.11) and even if drilling continues to demonstrate major iron-ore deposits the company has lots of challenges including adding significant management, financing, infrastructure and the like, high-risk, high reward speculators (gamblers) may want to strongly consider this before the next round of drill results.

Grandich Client Zone Resources - Interview With The CEO

Peter Grandich: How would best describe Zone Resources Inc.?

Charles Desjardins: Zone Resources is a mineral exploration company that has assembled an extensive iron property portfolio in the Labrador Trough in northern Quebec. The properties amount to approximately 36,000 hectares and have produced significant historical results, including 42.9% iron over 60.05 metres on the Moore-Ross property and 35.77% iron over 243 metres at our Girard Lake property. As a relative newcomer to the area, it is important to note that Zone is also one of the few remaining companies in the Labrador Trough without major partners.

Peter Grandich: Could you tell us about your main properties?

Charles Desjardins: Our land package consists of three major properties: Girard Iron Ore Property (27,200 hectares), Moore-Ross Iron Ore Property (6,900 hectares), and Knob Hill Iron Ore Property (2,000 hectares).

Peter Grandich: Can you speak about your management team and their ability to move this Project forward?

Charles Desjardins: The most prominent members of our management team include Mike Magrum, Dr. Colin Bowdidge, Peter Dickie, and Doug McFaul.
Mr. Magrum has over 30 years of experience in designing and implementing exploration programs worldwide. He is a director of a number of public companies and was an original director of Seabridge Gold, which acquired a major gold property portfolio containing a multi-million ounce gold resource. He is a graduate of the famed Haileybury School of Mines and the University of Alaska. It is worth noting that Mr. Magrum, the head technical person in the company, subscribed for 2,000,000 units in the last financing.

Dr. Colin Bowdidge is the vice-president of exploration. He has a degree in geology and mineralogy from the University of Cambridge and a Ph.D. in geology from the University of Edinburgh. He has over 35 years of practical experience in mineral exploration, discovery and mine development. Based in Canada, Dr. Bowdidge has also handled projects in Europe, Latin America, Africa and the United States. He has managed and executed mineral exploration programs for uranium, gold, silver, base metals, iron ore and industrial minerals.

Mr. Dickie brings over 20 years of business experience with both public and private companies holding numerous senior management positions. A graduate of both the University of British Columbia, and the University of Victoria (B.C.), his background includes four years in the Securities industry with Jones, Gable & Co. Currently, he sits on the board of a total of six public companies and four others in a fiscal and management advisory capacity.

Mr. McFaul has 17 years experience with companies involved in the public markets. He has acted as a director and held senior management positions with various public companies. Mr. McFaul completed the Canadian Securities Course in 1994. He also obtained a degree in finance from the University of Alaska in 1989.

      Peter Grandich: Why Quebec?

Charles Desjardins: Quebec, and in particular northern Quebec, is alluring simply because much of this area has yet to be extensively explored, let alone developed. The Quebec provincial government has recently put together an $80 billion plan (“Plan Nord”) to develop this area with infrastructure and investment in mineral exploration. This makes it extremely appealing for smaller exploration companies, particularly Canadian exploration companies, to invest their money in the province and a region with such amazing untapped potential.

Peter Grandich: What are your main challenges going forward and how do you plan to fund your plans going forward?

Charles Desjardins: In northern Quebec, one of the major challenges is a transportation network. This is an issue that is currently being addressed by the Quebec provincial government through Plan Nord, an $80 billion infrastructure and investment plan for northern Quebec that will unfold over the next 25 years.

Zone specifically, will be concentrating on raising capital in the financial markets to fund its exploration programs.

Peter Grandich: Who are you competing with?

Charles Desjardins: The direct competitors for Zone Resources are those established in the Labrador Trough already, namely: New Millennium Capital Corp./Tata Steel Corp.; Adriana Resources/Wuhan Iron and Steel Company; Labrador Iron Mines; Alderon Iron Ore and the company that is perhaps most comparable to Zone — Cap-ex Ventures Ltd. The interesting thing about this region is that although Zone is competing with these companies for the resources in the area, we all have a mutual interest in the continued success of the region as a whole. The infrastructure proposed by the provincial government, along with the investment by foreign Multi-National Corporations (Tata, Wuhan etc.) will only increase the value of the area and the companies invested in it in the long term. It will require the critical mass of all of the companies in the Labrador Trough to justify the expenditures in Plan Nord.

Peter Grandich: Some have commented that your grade is substantially lower than that of Cap-Ex. Can you explain why this should not have a bearing on the development of your Project?

Charles Desjardins: The two types of iron deposits found in the Labrador Trough are the smaller DSO (hematite) deposits grading more than 60% iron and the larger magnetite deposits grading 29-35% iron. The larger magnetite deposits have the greater potential to be a stand alone project, supporting its own transportation infrastructure. Just like Cap-Ex, Zone has the potential to host both types of deposits. Zone made the decision to explore for magnetite deposits first.

Peter Grandich: What would you like your shareholder and the investment community to take away from this interview?

Charles Desjardins: As mentioned earlier, Zone is a relative newcomer to this emerging area. Considering Zone has assembled an extensive iron property portfolio to date, combined with some very encouraging initial drill results, we believe the company offers the investment community significant upside potential.

      Grandich Client Zone Resources

I posed the following questions to management of Zone Resources and their answers are below:

Can you give a snapshot view of Zone Resources today?

Zone Resources continues to be a large landowner (4 properties) and active explorer in the Labrador Trough iron mining district. The Company owns or holds under option 106,152 acres of prime exploration ground where current and historical exploration work has outlined numerous zones with the potential to host large iron deposits. A significant drill program is planned for 2012.

What is the attraction of the Labrador Trough?

The Labrador Trough continues to be a world class iron mining district with a history of new discoveries and new development projects. The quality of the iron produced is very high and is a sought after product for blending purposes at steel mills.

What do you think will happen in the world iron market?

The world economy requires a steady supply of premium iron products from politically safe jurisdictions. Iron prices should stay in a range which justify the development of iron mines in the Labrador Trough.

What are the highlights of the 2011 exploration program?

The 2011 program confirmed the historical exploration results on the properties and made two exciting iron discoveries on the Girard property. One hole intersected iron formation with an average of 35.77 per cent Fe over 243.00 metres on a five-kilometre-long airborne magnetic anomaly in the western part of the Girard property. The second discovery was in a hole which intersected 35.64 per cent Fe over 137.00 metres on a separate, nine-kilometre-long magnetic anomaly, 21 kilometres to the east. An airborne magnetic survey outlined numerous anomalies: the total length of all the magnetic anomalies believed to be caused by magnetite iron formation (with an amplitude over 1,000 nT), is approximately 75 kilometres in length and over two kilometres in width.

Do you have potential for high grade DSO (direct shipping ore)?

Hematite-rich zones have been discovered and drilled both historically and in the 2011 exploration program. All 4 properties have significant potential for high grade iron ore.

Are there any First Nations issues?

The government of Canada has settled land claims with the Inuit of Nunivik in northern Quebec. The Inuit are very supportive of responsible development in their territory which contributes to the local economy.

What are your Plans for 2012?

A significant drilling program is planned on the Girard property to follow up on the spectacular results achieved in the 2011 drill program. The drill program is designed to delineate the largest potential resource prior to defining a resource to 43-101 standards. In addition, an airborne gravity survey is planned to upgrade numerous targets and to test potential for high grade DSO iron orebodies.

How do you anticipate financing the 2012 exploration?

The Company will require a financing to carry out the 2012 program. Any dilution from this financing should hopefully be more than offset by the increased value generated by the potential drilling results.

What do you hope the 2012 program to accomplish?

With additional drill holes showing good iron grades over substantial widths (comparable to 2011 results), lengths to the new discoveries would be defined. Adding this third dimension to the discoveries would be the start to defining iron ore bodies.

      What advantages does Zone have?

Zone’s properties are located in the province of Quebec, where the provincial government is very supportive of mining. A favourable tax regime is in place and the recently announced Plan Nord will support resource development with required infrastructure.

What about Zone appeals to investors?

Zone Resources has a very low market capitalization considering the assets it has accumulated. Management feels that the 2012 exploration program combined with a market awareness program could create additional shareholder value.

      Thank You!

Zone Resources Inc. Signs Drill Contract for Labrador Trough Iron Project
March 28, 2012 - 09:00:00 AM VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - March 28, 2012) - Zone Resources Inc. (Zone) (TSX VENTURE:ZNR)(FRANKFURT:7ZR) is pleased to announce that a contract has been signed to carry out a drill program on its Labrador Trough iron properties in the Nunivik region of northern Quebec. Subject to financing, the 2012 exploration program will consist of diamond drilling, surface exploration to generate new drill targets and an airborne gravity survey to explore for high grade hematite targets.

The primary focus of drilling will be the Girard property, which has over 75 kilometres of strong, linear magnetic anomalies. The two 2011 diamond drill holes returned average total iron contents of greater than 35% over good widths. The Girard property also has extensive areas of hematite, indicating the potential for DSO (Direct Shipping Ore) deposits. In one case, bright red hematitic rocks and overburden line both sides of a 4-kilometre length of a river valley. Gravity surveying will be an important tool in defining DSO targets in these hematized areas, as well as the extensive overburden-covered areas.

      China sucht neue Möglichkeiten
Eisenerz - Kanada ist der große Gewinner
      30. April 2012

January 16, 2013: Zone Resources Inc. (TSX-V symbol: ZNR) (the "Company') reports that due to the potential length of the legal dispute associated with certain claims within the Girard Lake property and previously reported on September 25, 2012, the Company is separating out a portion of its claims. Currently there are 226 claims totaling approximately 26,225 acres that are part of the ongoing legal dispute. The Company considers the allegations in the legal dispute to be without merit and intends to continue to vigorously defend its position. Moving forward, these claims will be referred to as Girard Lake West.

The remaining 315 claims totaling approximately 36,816 acres will be re-named the Lac Edgar claim block. Drill hole ZR11-09, the first and only hole to date on the Lac Edgar claim block, intersected iron formation with an average of 35.64% Fe over 137.00 metres. To view the airborne magnetic map with the plotted locations for drill hole ZR11-09 visit the following link: http://www.zone-resources.com/image/girard_mag_survey.png

Drill hole ZR11-09 was drilled at -50º along a 9 kilometre long airborne magnetic anomaly. It was collared in magnetite-rich iron formation at the base of casing at 3.00 metres. Iron contents of individual samples ranged up to a maximum 45.06% Fe, with the previously mentioned average of 35.64% Fe over the 137.00 metre intercept. A second, narrower zone of iron formation averaging 29.01% Fe of 10.45 metres was encountered 86 metres below the 137 metre intersection. The dip of the main iron zone in proximity to drill hole ZR11-09 is approximately vertical based on core angles. Drill hole ZR11-09 was collared in iron formation, and therefore did not intersect the full width of the main zone.

The magnetic survey previously flown over the Lac Edgar claim group outlined numerous magnetic anomalies: the aggregate length of all the magnetic anomalies, believed to be caused by magnetite iron formation (with amplitude over 1,000 nT), is approximately 50 kilometres in length and has the potential for Direct Shipping Ore ("DSO")

      Historic Work:

In addition to the drilling performed by Zone in 2011, as well as the magnetic survey outlining the magnetic anomalies, there are several historic occurrences on the property discovered between 1949 and 1954 by Quebec Labrador Development Company, which have been mapped in considerable detail. Trenching and drilling on the Lac Edgar claim group was carried out, however there were only records of trench sampling and assays available for the McDonald and Ball no. 1 showing. In addition to these two showings there are three other historic showings indicated on the historic map: The Carter showing; the Carter-Steele showing; and the Gagnon no.1 showing. View all of the historic and modern showings on above magnetic survey map (http://www.zone-resources.com/image/girard_mag_survey.png)
      McDonald Showing
GM2160A states that: "A showing known as the McDonald was discovered, having a rust area of over one and one half miles and widths exceeding 500 feet.

Four trenches totaling 2600 feet and 26 test pits were completed on the north end of this zone where the overburden was lightest and a minimum of water was encountered. High iron assays were secured but the silica content was also high, but as work preceded south the silica content decreases. However, in this work, quartzites were encountered and test pits were then put down to determine the strike, widths and dips, but as yet this work has not been carried through to a definite conclusion."
The following table gives a summary of the trench results.

Apparently, 36 drill holes of less than 100 feet were put down on the McDonald showing and surrounding area with "poor results". However, given that their objective was to find DSO, and looking at the trench assays, which averaged 44.6% Fe and ranged as high as 65.24% Fe - well within the range of DSO - and bearing in mind that finding a taconite deposit was not regarded as a success, it is quite possible that drill results would be considered "poor".
      Ball No. 1 Showing

This showing is described as having heavy rust over an area of 1400 feet by 900 feet. According to GM2160A, there is a fold in the iron formation:

"The country rock at the Ball showing is iron formation of the Hard-Ore Jasper type, consisting of finely oolitic jasper, magnetite and hematite with minor amounts of iron carbonate and silicates. Oxidization of this rock has produced a soft, crusty-textured, blood-red material in which most of the iron minerals have been converted to hematite and some of the silica has been leached out. Analysis of nine samples showed iron content ranging from 28% to 43% and silica from 24% to 59%; a composite sample of these nine specimens assayed 0.22% sulphur and 0.0107% phosphorus. Prospecting is made difficult by overburden which ranges in depth to at least 25 feet and testing must be done by digging pits through it to bedrock. The work done to date consists of 15 test-pits, covering a length of 800 feet and a width in one place of 600 feet. The actual dimensions of the oxidized zone are not known because of the glacial covering; on the evidence of the soil colouration however, it is estimated that not more than 10% of the zone has been test-pitted. Five short diamond drill holes were driven to confirm the general character of the oxidized formation.

Eight drill holes in 1948, maximum depth 50 feet intersected limonite-slate-chert. No logs were available. All diamond drilling was done by a small X-Ray drill. Very soft low grade hematite was encountered to depths of 40 feet increasing in depth as work progressed to the east. However, due to heavy boulders, overburden and a capping of green slates, the drill was not of sufficient strength to operate further and drilling was discontinued but not before an area exceeding 600 feet in width and 1000 feet in length was explored." Note: historical information is not National Instrument 43-101 compliant and cannot be relied upon.

Zone Resources is currently reviewing potential joint venture opportunities in order to initiate a work program for the Lac Edgar claim block in the spring of 2013.

"Prior to the legal dispute, the Company reviewed potential joint venture opportunities," stated Charles Desjardins, President and CEO. "By segregating the claims associated with the legal dispute, the Company is excited about being able to move forward with further exploration of the Lac Edgar claim block."

The Company further reports that it is proceeding with the private placement originally announced on September 25, 2012. The Company previously announced a non-brokered private placement of up to 10,000,000 units at a price of $0.02 per unit for total proceeds of up to $200,000, subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange. Up to 10,000,000 units will be issued as non flow-through units consisting of one common share and one half of one non-transferable warrant. Each whole warrant will entitle the holder to purchase one additional common share of the Company at a price of $0.05 per share in the first year and $0.10 per share in the second and final year from the date of closing.

The proceeds of the private placement will be used to maintain and preserve the Company's assets and operations. Finder's fees, as allowed pursuant to the policies of the TSX Venture Exchange, may be payable in connection with the offering.
