MILAN (AFX) - Parmalat Finanziaria SpA`s administrator Enrico Bondi is
seeking to raise hundreds of millions of euros by seizing assets from at least
25 senior figures linked to the bankrupt group, newspapers reported.
The petition, which was filed in Parma`s civil court yesterday, claims
rights to the assets of people who either sat on the Parmalat board or acted as
advisors to the company between 1989 and 2003.
The list includes ex-chairman Calisto Tanzi and five other members of the
Tanzi family, plus ex-CFO Fausto Tonna, Il Sole 24 Ore reported.
Both Calisto Tanzi and Tonna are currently in custody.
Almost all 25 have been called to appear before investigators in Milan and
Parma, who are probing the circumstances of Parmalat`s collapse, daily La Stampa
reported.
The court will examine Bondi`s petition from March 12.
