Quadra Ressource wird für die nächsten 4-6 Wochen sehr interessant werden. Mit der Bohrung in Kolumbien wurde am letzen Sonntrag begonnen. Ergebnisse werden Wohl Ende Januar veröffentlicht werden. Für eine langfristige Anlage ist die Aktie sehr gut geeignet.

QUADRA COMMENCES SECOND WELL IN COLOMBIA

Quadra Resources Corp. has released an update regarding its activities on its 100-per-cent-held Iraca association contract located in the northeast of the republic of Colombia.

Quadra commenced drilling operations for the B2-X well on Dec. 19, 2004, using Pride Drilling of Houston. McGinnis Codd & Associates Inc. of Calgary is supplying overall drilling engineering and management services. In addition Halliburton Services in Bogota is supplying local integrated logistic services in Colombia.

The planned total depth of the B2-X well is 4,000 feet subsurface. Drilling, completion and testing of this vertical well is planned for 25 days. The B2-X well is expected to penetrate both the LaLuna and Maracas formations in the 3,000-acre Becerril structure. This well is located 150 metres northwest from the B1-X well drilled by the company in September, 2003.

The B1-X was a non-vertical deviated well drilled to a total depth of 5,200 feet, encountering strong natural gas shows in both the LaLuna and Maracas formations. Independent log analysis identified in both formations over 400 feet of net hydrocarbon pay. Technical problems with the wellbore prevented the company from testing both formations. Based on logs and seismic data, a resource potential of 250 billion cubic feet has been calculated for both formations in this Becerril structure.

The company has identified five additional seismic leads on the Iraca lands. Each lead has potential for 50 million to 100 million recoverable barrels of oil equivalent.

The main 18-inch El Centro natural gas pipeline bisects through the centre of the Iraca contract and is within five kilometres of the B2-X well location. Natural gas markets in Colombia are being deregulated in 2005 with current wellhead prices, approximately 2.00 (U.S.).

Michael Nugent, president of Quadra, states: "I am very excited to commence the drilling of the B2-X well. We have undertaken a full geological and engineering review of the B1-X well and expect the B2-X to fully demonstrate the natural gas potential of the Becerril structure. Upon completion of B2-X, the company will start a development program for production to commence by year-end, 2005."
