Ich denke, man kann die Finanzsituation als mehr als solide bezeichnen. Das Ding fände ich sogar bei 10$ als nicht GAP äusserst vielversprechend.

BCGI ist abgestürzt aufgrund eines Patentrechte-Prozesses, den sie kürzlich gegen Freedom-Wireless vor einem Geschworenengericht verloren haben und der jetzt von einem professionellen Gericht in diesen Tagen verhandelt wird. Seit OJ Simpson weiss ich, dass das zweite Gericht immer andersrum entscheidet in USA.

Aber im Ernst, ist natürlich reinster Zock, kein Mensch kann die Patentrechtsituation solide einschätzen und schon gar nicht, welches Urteil das Gericht fällt.
Für mich ist das wie Glücksspiel: Wahrscheinlichkeit 50:50 (behaupte ich einfach mal!), bei Sieg Rebound auf mindestens 10,00USD (wäre immer noch absolut lächerliches KGV für einen solide Gewinne produzierenden "New Economy Überlebenden"), bei Niederlage ist nicht mehr viel Platz nach unten (Buchwert 8,00USD!!!). Sehr schönes Unternehmen auf jeden Fall, Blick auf HP lohnt sich.

nunja, Patentverletzungen ist gerade in den USA ein sehr heißes Eisen. Im aktuellen Fall geht es immerhin um eine Zahlung von 128Mio. USD und die kann Boston Communications Group. aus eigenen Mittlen nicht zahlen. Zudem gibt es jetzt noch eine Sammelklage seitens der Aktionäre gegen das Unternehmen. Interessant ist, das zum 31.03.05 mehr als 90% der Aktien von Banken und Fonds gehalten wurden ... und die haben nach der Meldung wohl erst mal alle verkauft. Das ganze ist ein sehr riskanter Zock. Mal sehen wie das ganze ausgehen wird

naja, ist schon sehr gewagt bei solchen Werten nur auf +10% zu spekulieren ... ein voller Erfolg, bzw. Rebound ist es erst dann, wenn das GAP wieder geschlossen wird .... aber da fehlen noch gute +150%

hast ja recht,wobei ich versuche nur werte zu nehmen, die einen (vermeintlichen) boden gebildet haben und durch insider-käufe auffallen...einen kompletten turnaround mitzumachen erfordert viel geduld (die ich meistens nicht habe)& natürlich das nötige glück...

Das Biotechnologieunternehmen Pharmos Corp. hat enttäuschende Ergebnisse für das in der Testphase III befindliche Präparat Dexanabinol zur Behandlung von schweren traumatischen Kopfverletzungen verzeichnet.

RBC Capital Markets haben heute die Aktie der Pharmos Corporation von „outperform“ auf „sector perform“ abgestuft. Das Kursziel auf Sicht von 12 Monaten wurde deutlich von 9 auf 1,50 Dollar zurückgenommen.
Wie der zuständige Analyst ausführte, habe der Wirkstoff Dexanabinol in einer Studie der Phase III bei der Behandlung von Patienten mit Hirnverletzungen keine signifikanten positiven Effekte auf gewiesen. Auch die Sterblichkeitsrate konnte nicht verringert werden. Das Unternehmen hat nun nur noch den Wirkstoff PRS-211,375 gegen Schmerzen in der Pipeline. Dieser werde frühestens im Jahr 2009 die Zulassung erhalten. Pharmos werde mit der derzeitigen Finanzausstattung den operativen Betrieb aber nur noch zwei Jahre lang aufrecht erhalten können. Und auch dies gelte nur für den Fall, dass das Unternehmen Kostensenkungsmaßnahmen umsetze.

Pharmos gaben heute an der Vorbörse weitere 3,54 Prozent auf 1,13 Dollar ab.

Mit der Aktie von Boston Communications (ISIN US1005821053/ WKN 901433) spielen Anleger den klassischen Top- oder Flop-Turbo, so die Experten von " Global Insider Investing" .

Bei der Gesellschaft handle es sich um einen Abrechnungsdienstleister für Prepaid-Services im Mobilfunkbereich. Eigentlich laufe die Branche derzeit sehr gut, doch habe das US-Unternehmen aktuell mit großen Problemen zu kämpfen.

So solle Boston Communications mehrere Patente von Freedom Wireless verletzt haben. Ein Geschworenengericht in Bosten habe Mitte Mai Freedom Wireless 128 Mio. USD an Schadensersatz zugesprochen, wobei noch Strafzahlungen hinzukommen dürften. Das würde das Aus für Boston Communications bedeuten. Dieses Szenario spiegle derzeit auch der Aktienkurs wider und fast alle Analystenhäuser hätten den Daumen nach unten gedreht.

Allerdings hätten in der vergangenen Woche Meldungen über massive Insiderkäufe seitens des Managements von Bostons Communications in Höhe von 414.000 US-Dollar aufhorchen lassen. Auffallend sei, mit welcher Entschiedenheit die Unternehmensführung den Ausverkauf der Aktie am Markt als Unterbewertung zu sehen scheine.

Nach Ansicht der Experten von " Global Insider Investing" ist die Boston Communications-Aktie ein Fall für Zocker, die eine risikoreiche aber extrem heiße Story spielen wollen.

Boston Comm provides update on Freedom Wireless Trial (BCGI) 2.04 0.00:The co previously announced that the presiding judge in the patent infringement lawsuit brought by Freedom Wireless suspended the non-jury trial, in which BCGI and the other co-defendants are presenting an unenforceability defense, and ordered mediation between the co and the other co-defendants in the lawsuit and Freedom Wireless. Mediation has been ongoing. However, the parties have not been able to reach a settlement and the non-jury trial resumed, as scheduled, on July 14, 2005. This trial could last approximately one to two weeks after it commences. bcgi continues to believe that it does not infringe the Freedom Wireless patents and that the patents are invalid in light of prior art. die aktie hat im letzten jahr miserabel abgeschnitten
immernoch im klaren abwärtstrend, obwohl der gesamtmarkt steigt kommt bcgi nicht auf die beine, der ausbruchsversuch vom montag mit leicht überdurchschnittlichem umsatz hat sich heute als fehlsignal herausgestellt.
und du fragst, ob du die aktie kaufen sollst.

Aktueller Tageschart (log) seit Januar 2005 (1 Kerze = 1 Tag).

Kurz-Kommentierung: Die ARIBA Aktie bricht heute über die Pullbacklinie bei 6,37$ nach oben hin aus. Gelingt ein Wochenschlußkurs darüber, ist das erwartete mittelfristiges Kaufsignal perfekt. Erstes Kursziel wäre der Horizontalwiderstand bei 7,27$ und anschließend die Gap Unterkante bei 10,17$. Nach unten hin sollte im Rahmen eines Pullbacks an die gebrochene Pullbacklinie die Unterstützungszone bei 6,20$ aus Horizontalunterstützung und exp. GDL 50 (EMA50) nicht mehr unterschritten werden, um das bullische Szenario nicht zu gefährden.

Ariba fährt massiven Verlust ein



Der B2B-Softwareanbieter Ariba fuhr im dritten Quartal des Fiskaljahres 2005 einen massiven Verlust ein, konnte aber vor Abzug von Sondereffekten die Analystenerwartungen übertreffen.

Der Nettoverlust lag bei $288.7 Mio. oder $4.52 je Aktie ein, nach einem Fehlbetrag von $$7.6 Mio. oder $0.17 je Aktie im Vorjahr. Wie das Unternehmen am Donnerstag weiter mitteilte, belastete primär eine Goodwill-Abschreibung in Höhe von $247.8 Mio. das Ergebnis. Der Umsatz wuchs von $53.0 Mio. auf $77. Mio.

Vor Einmaleffekten erwirtschaftete Ariba einen Gewinn von $2.2 Mio. oder $0.03 je Aktie. Die Im Vorfeld ermittelten Consensuserwartungen lagen bei einem Gewinn je Aktie von $0.02.

Die Ariba-Aktie verliert nachbörslich um 0,3% auf $6.64. Im regulären Handel war die Aktie um 6,73% auf $6.66 angestiegen.

Appeals Court Grants Stay of Patent Litigation Injunction for all bcgi Customers

bcgi Reaffirms Ability to Continue Serving Customers and Pursue Appeal

BEDFORD, Mass., Dec. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Boston Communications Group, Inc. BCGI announced today that the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (the "Appeals Court") has stayed the Injunction (the "Injunction") previously granted by the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts ("District Court") on October 17, 2005 which would have prohibited bcgi from offering three implementations of its U.S. service bureau to any wireless carrier other than a licensee of Freedom Wireless. Therefore, bcgi`s carrier customers, including bcgi`s co-defendant Cingular Wireless, may continue to use bcgi`s prepaid billing service during the appeals process. In addition, the Appeals Court did not require bcgi and the other defendants to post additional security for any potential damages that may accrue during the appeals process.

"We are happy that the Appeals Court has stayed the Injunction," said E.Y. Snowden, President and CEO of bcgi. "With this decision in our favor, we are now on solid footing to continue to pursue our appeal."

On October 20, 2005, bcgi and the other defendants filed to appeal the District Court`s judgment on the entire case to the Appeals Court. The appeal process could last twelve to eighteen months, or longer. bcgi continues to assert that it does not infringe the Freedom Wireless patents, and believes the patents are invalid. In addition, bcgi believes that the size of the damages awarded bears no relationship to a reasonable royalty that bcgi or any company would have paid for a license of the patents.

Freedom Wireless Litigation Status
The Company is in the process of appealing the Freedom Wireless judgment in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (the "Appeals Court"). On December 15, 2005 the Appeals Court stayed the injunction previously granted by the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Therefore, bcgi`s carrier customers, including bcgi`s co-defendant Cingular Wireless, may continue to use bcgi`s Real-Time Billing service during the appeal process. Although the timing of proceedings during the appeal process may vary, the Company believes the appeal will continue into 2007. As previously announced, the Company has accrued an estimated loss of $64.3 million with respect to the Freedom Wireless judgment, excluding additional legal charges which are, and will continue to be, expensed as incurred.
