Ok, how about some comparisions, its quite shocking really....

      SMM 170mill shares (approx) @ $1.71
      Market cap of $290mill aud

resource, know 77mill lbs u, likely 100mill lbs u (lets use that as a calculation as its nice and round)

Value of resource, $4.1billion usd or

      $5.4bill aud...

      ARU "Nolans Bore Only"

100mill shares fully diluted including the SSPP (approx for ease of calculation)

100mill at avg 0.45c (incl avg oppies and fpo's again approx)
      market cap $45million

      Value of resource

      $4.6 Billion aud

in case I'm losing some of you we are comparing

ARU market cap $45mill with Nolans bore (only) asset of $4.6bill (see post last week)

      to

SMM market cap $290mill with U assets of
      $5.4bill

      ARU $4.6bill / $45mill = ratio of 102

      SMM $5.4bill / $290mill = ratio of 18.6

      Larger is better!!!!

      Ok for the doubters..met testings...etc....

Lets halve the value of Nolans bore

$2.3bill /$45mill = ratio of 45 (still more than twice as good as SMM)

And of course that doesn't include Kurinelli, Lagoon Ck or anything else for that matter. I realise that SMM has Iron ore assets too to be fair

I'm pretty sure I've got it all right, but am fallable of course :)

      Hmmmm.... makes you think eh!
PS, there's still a U ban in Qland too :)

And Nolans still open and depth and along strike!!!

Not sure if the same can be said about the SMM resource as I know nothing about them.

ARU is long overdue for a significant rerating. It is just a matter of time. Personally, I have always held a target of >$1.50 by the end of the year. Unrealistic? Not when you look at GF's numbers.

yep, I used SMM as I held them at sub 30c last year :(

Not to worry am pretty happy all the same :)

If q-land lift the U ban, then watch out PDN will look like a snail...

I't like to see aru $1+ by the end of the year, hopefully the scoping study and an offtake agreement should propell us well past there...

A whiff of drilling success at Kurinelli and/or one of the U tenements then lookout. The punters will come running to the honeypot looking for U and GOLD and discover that ARU are sitting on several billion dollars of something strange and new called REE.

Geez GF, I had Nolans pegged for $6bn.... you dudded me!

I was emailing my old boss (another happy holder) today, remembering how we had gone into Kagara together (me at 90c and he at 93c).
We had done very well on some others as well.
He had asked for my view on EXT today (someone had said it was a goer for Christmas), I gave my reasons for getting in and consequently out. I had dived into Extact in Feb 05 and bailed out as I was a bit suspect at the time (under 2c!!).

But in the thought process it highlighted for me, again, the strength of Arafura. Real assets that can generate life changing wealth. These assets will remain solid should the market rise or fail.
Once upon a time Arafura were struggling trying to work out how to tell the market that Nolans had uranium without panicking shareholders... does the world change or what. Next thing is the Thorium at Nolans (13 times more than the 8 million lbs uranium), now the old timers know that thorium is everywhere as a byproduct. However it is also radioactive, a real hassle to get approvals to process the stuff if you are looking for base metals. It has to be noted though, if you have to go through the hoops of getting uranium approvals then thorium is a walk in the park. Who cares how cheap it gets sold... it is 'free' money.

I would beg for a managment name like Kim Robinson (what an idea) that carries street cred, however it has to be said that you still need the resources behind you. Arafura has that in spades.

It will be interesting times in the months ahead (the deciding months for spec players) for Arafura holders, we will go from Gold nuts to Uranium nuts and back to REE nuts again before going goldie all over. What I am very comfortable with is the fact that even if the market turns we will have some assets behind us that have improved greatly.... I think many will not sit so comfortable elswhere.
Remember value will win every time.

Another quick sum for you GF...
      Arafura reckon;
      Revenue of A$88m pa
      NPV @ 8% = > A$250 million with IRR >25%
Payback has been calculated at >5 years
      EBIT +A$25 million per annum

I believe these figures (based on uranium at $20usd lb!!) will prove to be super conservative.
That is revenue of near on 90c per share!!

Looking at KZL again it is nearing market cap of $1bn... where is that going to leave Arafura....

      I am very happy...

By the way, does anyone know Robinson's phone no.. lol..

Energy for the Next Billion Years

      Sean Brodrick
      Money and Markets
      April 19th, 2006

Now that China and Australia have signed a landmark agreement on uranium, where do we go from here?

Further than most men can dream!

This one uranium deal is part of a much larger trade package between the two countries. And it's just the first deal of many.

Heck, signing the deal was quick and easy. Overcoming today's acute shortages of uranium is going to be slow and tough. In fact, Australia probably won't be actually shipping uranium ore to China until 2008, according to Aussie Resources Minister Ian Macfarlane.

"Australia is already fully committed in terms of uranium production through until about 2008, bearing in mind that the signing of this agreement means that this is really only the start of the process," he said. "From there we need to move forward."

      In other words,

It's still very early in the game, and you can still get in close to the ground floor of Australia's uranium boom.

Here are just some of the things I see happening in the near - and not-so-near - future ... ;)
