      Der folgende Bericht beinhaltet u.a. ein Video so wie zum Schluß eine IMHO interessante Zusammenfassung zum aktuellen Stand von Lynas und der LAMP.

      Zu allem anderen gibt es die unterschiedlichsten Grüchte, wie die Chinesen versuchen den Produktionsstart zu verzögern oder gar zu unterbinden bis hin das die malaysichen Politiker/Behörden geschmiert werden wollen usw.

      Ich persöhlich gebe daraufs nicht viel einfach weil die Betriebsgenehmigung auf Grund der wirtschaftlichen Zusammenhänge für Malaysia IMHO in der Zukünft nur Vorteile bringen wird und sich die Entscheidungsträger das dann auf ihre Fahnen schreiben können, oder anders gesagt, es ist für beide Seiten ein WinWin-Geschäft.

      lynas versus moly in the ree race (chihawk)
      ...

      To change the subject I'll share my recent thought. Many in the US think Moly and Lynas are still in a race. I find that illusory. Lynas' recent presentation is substanative, factual, and suggests they are on track.

      Sure Lynas needs the AELB approval, but:
      -The concentrate continues to ramp up;
      -The Mt. Weld drilling is great;
      -The LAMP is over 85% complete;
      -And the pictures confirm the Lynas progress is very real. Lynas has been consistent, followed a clear path and it is falling in place. But Meanwhile, I think people are losing faith in the Moly promises. Several key factors do not add up with Moly IMO:

      At the start of the year Smith said the LREE/HREE distinction was a "fraud" (Smith's word on the CC) to cover up low ore grade projects. Now, six-eight months later Moly has a four pronged approach to developing HREE's. I question the rapid change in Moly's direction on HREE's. While Gareth Hatch questions the HREE comments in a TMR article. But it goes much further. On comments 17 and 18 at the TMR article a blogger named Poncho 462 posed an interesting issue. He said in part:

      "It is my understanding that at least one key problem at the moment for MCP is the lack of permit to build the needed natural gas pipeline to fuel the only part of Phoenix (phase) one currently under actual construction, which is the electrical generation plant. ...
      Now, If they have no fuel pipeline permit for their generating plant (nearly built), and they have no construction currently underway for any of the Phoenix project infrastructure, Can you explain how they could possibly complete the 19,000 TPA phase one and begin production by the end of September 2012...
      I reviewed the website again, ...and they seem to have removed the video of the pipeline route."
      http://www.techmetalsresearch.com/2011/11/what-molycorp-has-…

      As it turns out SA's Valley Boy found information on Slide 25 of this Kern River pipeline presentation:
      https://www.wyogasfair.org/Todd%20Kremer.pdf

      This pipeline issue needs to be addressed by Molycorp. The issue appears to be slowing progress. I know Molycorp says they are on time and on budget but I expressed my doubts in this insta using the photos and drawings available:
      http://seekingalpha.com/instablog/812815-chihawk/232586-moly…

      And in Molycorp's bragging on their last call on the 500,000 hours completed I found too few hours for this stage in the project since Lynas is now over 85% complete and for the phase one LAMP alone has 5,700,000 hours LTI free. And it also means Lynas has done 700, 000 man hours on the LAMP in six weeks while Moly has 500,000 hours in TEN MONTHS!:
      http://rareearthfuture.com/2011/11/12/is-molycorp-phoenix-on…

      Sorry for the links but the slides need to be seen on their own to make the point and I can't place this much stuff in one post. I chose this moment to post to get us past the flame bait as well. I think we have enough going on to avoid this baiting. Right?

      5 reasons for lynas... (toly)
      ...

      OK, here are my top 5 reasons that Lynas is a Great investment...

      1. LAMP... LAMP will be finished in a few weeks, pretty much on-time, and on-schedule. It is unlikely that Nick curtis would have made such a bold statement about completion and commissioning if the license process was not close to approval. Also, the upcoming tours are likely to impress everyone...

      2. Capitalization... Lynas is well capitalized and while they may be close to spending what they have in the bank (on the balance sheet), they have a $125m credit facility in place that is basically untapped... Going to the well for a secondary or private placement is NOT necessary, thus stock dilution will not occur...

      3. Technology Superiority... It is very likely that Lynas is taking advantage of new technologies as they emerge. For example, ucore's X-Ray Transmission is not a new technology and it it likely Lynas has been aware of such a process for a while. LAMP, very likely was designed to incorporate emerging technologies as it was designed for a doubling of capacity from the very start...

      4. Shareholder Equity... Unlike many of the juniors and even the other major REE producers, Lynas has significant HARD assets. On the balance sheet there is a line for Plant, Property and Equipment. PP&E is a major component of the assets section on the balance sheet and Lynas currently has close to $625m in shareholder equity. This number is what the shareholders actually own and appears to be a conservative number at that...

      The balance sheet of many other REE's show less than $20m in cash with the rest of the current assets being their real estate (mining claims). These assets may or may not be worth the "assessed value." which is an arbitrary process. Lynas has contingency cash nearly twice that of the secondary offerings on many of the juniors...

      5. Intangibles... Little competition. According to Jack Lifton the field of REE companies will shrink at a fast pace. The difficult global economy makes it very tough to "go to the well" and raise new capital. Lynas is the only company that will be in production of significant quantities of REE's in the very near future....

      The basket price of the RE elements is still ~$125. Sure the prices have tumbled recently but looking at the Lynas REE price tables the prices are currently up 500% since 2010...

      It has been a long road with many potholes for Lynas. Many of the other REE's claim they will have REE processing facilities in place within a year or two, but one needs to look at a company that has actually been through the entire process and make their production projections based on reality… Becoming a REE producer is nowhere as easy as most of the other REE's envision. It takes significant resources including IP, experience, capital and most importantly time to overcome the barriers of entry in this space.

      IMO there will be a huge and growing demand for REE's and it will be supply that will determine this demand. With the promise of LAMP's completion and the start of production, LYC is looking pretty good as a first mover in this space... JMHO...

      Gibt sicherlich charttechnische Gründe dafür- oder liegt der Grund

      Für alle die sich nach den gewaltigen Preisanstiegen für REO wundern das bestimmte REO in den vergangenen Monaten gefallen sind.

      Eigentlich ist das eine ganz einfache Sache, denn es geht wie immer nach "Angebot und Nachfrage".

      Obwohl der Bedarf/Nachfrage weiterhin in den nächsten Jahren stetig steigen wird hat China bei einigen REO noch genügent Potential in diesem Beriech ihre Spielchen zu treiben so wie es u.a. der folgende Artikel aufzeichnet, allerdings ist das IMHO nur noch eine Frage der Zeit wie lange sich das China leisten kann und hängt natürlich auch davon ab wann die Weltkonjunltur wieder anzieht.

      China and a Game Called Supply and Demand

      Breaking down the coterie that’s known as rare earth elements means taking it a wee bit further than simply defining them as lights and heavies.

      Once you break them down into 15 or 17 separate components, it shines a light on some of the dynamics of the market and what China may be doing with the supply and demand equation.

      Rare Earths - Will New Supply Ease Availability Concerns?

      Autor: PR Newswire (engl.) | 16.11.2011, 19:28

      The rare earths industry is at a turning point, new sources of supply from mines outside China are coming on stream, the industry in China is coming under more effective control with increased corporate consolidation led by state controlled enterprises, and a re-evaluation of the way in which rare earths are used is taking place, following a year of unprecedented high prices.

      LAMP To Shine For Lynas

      NOV 17, 2011

      While progress on construction of the plant has been impressive to date, the project has fallen a few weeks behind early forecasts. In the view of RBS Australia this is not overly significant, given the scale and complexity of the project.
