Last -- but by no means least -- there is uranium producer Paladin Energy (PDN) and Globe Metals & Mining (GBE) in Malawi, the latter with niobium and rare earths projects. The junior will have about 4 per cent of the world niobium market when production starts at Kanyika in 2013, and drilling has begun at the Machinga rare earths project. Keep a close eye on the results, especially the dysprosium, which is among the four most valuable rare earth elements and whose price has risen by 230 per cent over the past year.

If you compare the top20 statments there are not many changes (apart from this Asian hedge fund and Pala stake) and no changes in the top5 league have been reported.
But if its not retail investors and not the typical long term investors who is trading all this shares. I remember one event back in 2009 when suddenly a 1 mln share sell order appears in the order book. This leads me to the conclusion that some interested parties trying to play their games with GBE probably buying into the stock as cheap as possible probably amongst themselves and selling into the hikes.
Without the current trading pattern GBE would be trading on much lower volume. The lack of interest in this stock make such games possible but as soon as we get real volume (interest) in this stock it will fly. But patience is necessary here.
Same story last night. suddenly a single 300,000 sell order appeared in the order book but after trading has kicked off from one second to the other the order disappeared. Clear signs for (legal?) price manipulation.
I assume that some "investors" are well aware of GBE's need to raise funds rather sooner than later. Last time so called sophisticated investors get a 30% spring sale price. This encourages this type of short term investors to sell down the share price in order to get more cheap shares with the next round of funding.
You can't blame someone for this behaviour but it shows you that you need patience with this type of pre production developers.
