SAN ANTONIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sunrise Solar Corp. (OTCBB:SSLR - News) today addresses “solar myths” that often arise in shareholder questions relating to the role of solar power in America’s future energy plans.

      Myth 1:
Solar electricity cannot provide a significant part of America's electricity needs.

Fact: The solar energy resource in a 100 square mile area of Nevada could supply ALL of the electricity needs of the United States, even while using today's modestly efficient solar cell technology. Of course a more logical plan is to use sites in all 50 states to generate America's electricity needs. Solar systems covering America's 5 million acres of abandoned industrial sites alone could produce 90% of our power needs.

      Myth 2:
Solar energy can solve our problems right now!

Fact: The solar industry does not currently have the capacity to meet all current demands. High demand is expected to continue for many years to come, which will provide strong growth prospects for solar companies.

      Myth 3:
Solar is a cottage industry appealing only to smaller markets.

Fact: Over the past several years the solar industry has achieved 30% annual growth. It is a multi-billion dollar industry that is growing rapidly and could reach $15 billion annually within the next 5 years. Current projections suggest that within the next 20 years more than 300,000 Americans will have solar related jobs.

      Myth 4:
Solar is too expensive to compete with the "big boys" of power generation.

Fact: The cost of making a solar cell capable of producing one watt of electricity has fallen from approximately $50 twenty years ago, to under $3 today. In some markets the cost of solar power is now under $0.11 per kwh, which is competitive with traditional power generations methods. It is expected that the return on investment for new solar modules will be less than 24 months, resulting in 20 or more years of clean, near-zero cost energy.

Sunrise Solar Introduces Solar Building Brick
Tuesday September 2, 9:10 am ET

SAN ANTONIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sunrise Solar Corp. (OTCBB:SSLR - News) announced today the introduction of a Solar Light Brick for the integration of solar technologies into traditional construction materials.

This innovative technology includes advanced solar cells, an energy storage device and a crystal lighting system that surrounds the energy module in a square or rectangle. The imbedded solar cell generates electricity when the sun shines and stores it in the storage device. The light is automatically activated after dark. The solar brick can be designed to light in any color.

Potential applications include rural airfields, building lighting, safety lights and decorative lighting. The solar brick can operate without any connection to the electrical grid and can be imbedded in construction materials.

"As we continue to introduce innovative solar products that deliver dynamic energy solutions that can be applied today, we are proud to introduce the 'solar light brick',” said Mr. Eddie Austin, Chairman and CEO of Sunrise Solar Corp. "This creative product can provide lighting and decoration with no connection to a power grid and can be imbedded in a wall or concrete slab as an integrated part of the structural design.”

Sunrise Solar Announces Initial Project Funding

The BioDiesel project is on the backburner.
      by Staff Writers
San Antonio TX (SPX) Jan 20, 2009
Sunrise Solar has announced initial funds for the implementation of the Company's previously announced project to deliver solar power and heat to a U.S. BioDiesel manufacturing plant have been placed into escrow.

In October 2008, Sunrise Solar announced an agreement with a Brazil-based BioDiesel producer to provide solar technology to its manufacturing facilities, which produce BioDiesel from algae.

"Sunrise Solar sees the opportunity to use green energy to make BioFuels as a major step toward complete energy independence," noted Eddie Austin, Chairman and CEO of Sunrise Solar Corp.

"In the past, many BioFuels companies consumed large amounts of fossil fuels in the manufacturing process."

"By using solar power to manufacture biodiesel, a truly green fuel will be available for transportation," concluded Austin.

The U.S. has trailed both Europe and Asia in solar technology development. Last year's soaring fuel prices woke Americans to the need to compete with China and Korea for the development of solar technology.

As it grows, SSLR will compete with more established companies such as First Solar, Kyocera and Sanyo.

SSLR has several major projects on the drawing boards for completion in Brazil and Mexico. Financing is anticipated from both private and quasi-public international finance consortiums who have indicated an interest in providing assistance for the development of profitable alternative energy projects in these nations.

“We have a portfolio of projects now totaling more than $100 million,” noted Eddie Austin, Chairman and CEO of Sunrise Solar Corp. “Our next step is to work with our commercial partners and sponsoring governmental entities to complete the project financing needed to bring these projects to fruition.”

“We will work closely with our clients to complete the financing of each project in the weeks ahead,” Austin concluded.

As alternative energy forges to the front of the investment horizon, large companies, such as BP (NYSE:BP - News) and Shell (NYSE:RDS-B - News), are aggressively seeking to develop new alternative energy technologies. In the meantime, SSLR is actively developing major projects using today’s technology.

Sunrise Solar Begins Development of Industrial Solar Applications

      * Tuesday February 24, 2009, 8:58 am EST

SAN ANTONIO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sunrise Solar Corp. (OTCBB:SSLR - News). Sunrise solar has begun the internal development of a new solar technology for industrial applications. This technology will aim to deliver clean, green power on a commercial scale for industry, including other green industries such as biofuels, biodiesel and ethanol production.

Industry must increasingly consider ways to reduce its carbon footprint by reducing the amount of energy consumed from fossil fuels. SSLR’s technology development will be aimed at delivering a direct reduction in the use of oil & gas by replacing it with industrial levels of solar energy.

“We have initiated the development of industrial solar applications to help industry reduce dependence of fossil fuels,” noted Eddie Austin, Chairman and CEO of Sunrise Solar Corp. “Every company must consider how to reduce its carbon footprint in the next five years, and we see industrial solar technologies as a key answer to that challenge.”

“We are positioning our product development to focus on the needs of industry rather than the home and consumer market where most of our competition is focused,” Austin concluded.

The world is awakening to the importance of solar power both to the reduction of carbon emissions and to energy independence. Companies such as British Petroleum (NYSE: BP PLC) are aggressively diversifying into solar development with installations in over 100 countries. Japan is aggressively developing solar technologies in a joint venture with Shell Oil (NYSE: RDS.A - News) to build a $900 million solar power plant. As these giants break ground, mid-size industries will quickly follow in the implementation of solar energy projects.
