      Prospect Capital Invests $76.5 Million in Yield-Producing South Florida Multi-Family Property

      NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 06/27/13 -- Prospect Capital Corporation (NASDAQ: PSEC)("Prospect") announced today that Prospect has closed on a $76.5 million investment in The Resort, a prominent multi-family residential community in Pembroke Pines, Florida.

      Prospect has made this latest real estate investment by investing debt and equity into its portfolio company APH Property Holdings, LLC ("APH"), which owns a tax-efficient private real estate investment trust ("REIT"). APH's REIT has invested in The Resort as well as other multi-family properties, which are all being actively managed by property management firms that have co-invested with APH's REIT in each transaction. APH's REIT has now made seven real estate investments aggregating $151.6 million.

      The Resort is located in Pembroke Pines, a community close to both Fort Lauderdale and Miami. The Resort is a premier residential community encompassing 1,520 rental units in 190 buildings on approximately 85 acres. The Resort offers villa-style rental apartments in a low-density environment with extensive luxury amenities. Prospect has invested alongside The Carroll Organization, an experienced owner and operator of multi-family properties in the U.S. Southeast.

      Prospect Capital Declares Four Additional Monthly Cash Dividends to Shareholders Through December 2013, Discloses Benefits From Rising Interest Rates, and Confirms 12.7% Current Dividend Yield

      NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 06/17/13 -- Prospect Capital Corporation (NASDAQ: PSEC) ("Prospect") announced today that Prospect's Board of Directors, after reviewing earnings expectations for the remainder of 2013 and 2014, has declared monthly cash dividends to shareholders in the following amounts and with the following record and payment dates:

      11.0225 cents per share for September 2013 (record date of September 30, 2013 and payment date of October 24, 2013);

      11.0250 cents per share for October 2013 (record date of October 31, 2013 and payment date of November 21, 2013);

      11.0275 cents per share for November 2013 (record date of November 29, 2013 and payment date of December 19, 2013); and

      11.0300 cents per share for December 2013 (record date of December 31, 2013 and payment date of January 23, 2014).

      These four dividends mark Prospect's 62nd, 63rd, 64th, and 65th consecutive cash dividends to shareholders.

      Prospect's closing stock price as of June 14, 2013 delivers to shareholders a 12.7% current dividend yield. Prospect's last reported book value of $10.71 per share at March 31, 2013 provides a 3% premium to Prospect's closing stock price as of June 14, 2013.

      Prospect has generated cumulative net investment income in excess of cumulative dividends to shareholders in the current fiscal year to date, in the prior fiscal year, and since Prospect's initial public offering nine years ago. For the current fiscal year as of March 31, 2013, Prospect's net investment income in excess of dividends to shareholders exceeded $42.5 million and 22 cents per share.

      Based on past dividends and assuming its current share count for upcoming dividends, Prospect since inception through its December 2013 dividend will have distributed approximately $12 per share to original continuing shareholders and approximately $900 million in cumulative dividends to all shareholders.

      Hallo dukati,

      bzgl. der Streuung gehe ich ähnliche Wege, habe für mich aber die Obergrenze bei 10% gelegt (erreiche ich aktuell bei keinem Wert). 4% wären mir zu wenig, da das ja in Summe mind. 25 Werte im Depot bedeutet - eher deutlich drüber. Und das wäre für mir ein laufendes Monitoring zu viel.

      Die Divi-Rendite von 4-5% (nach Steuern) ist ein guter Wert; ich liege hier aktuell bei 6,5% im Schnitt.

      ich kaufe auch gerne bei einigen nach, doch bestimmte erfahrungen haben mich gelehrt, bei 4% ist schluß, egal wie gut das ding läuft...
      streuen, wenn die werte übers jahr ein wenig zulegen und dazu dividende nach steuern von ca. 4-5% einfahren, dann bin ichs im moment zufrieden bzw. sogar glücklich...

      Based on the closing stock price as of June 11, 2013, this estimate represents an annualized net investment income yield of 12.2% to 13.8%.

      Prospect also announced that it recently completed a $112 million first-lien senior secured investment in a leading third-party logistics company that services many of the largest shippers in the world.

      Prospect has closed nearly $1.3 billion of originations to date in the current 2013 calendar year. Prospect closed nearly $3 billion of originations in the twelve months ended March 31, 2013.

      Prospect currently has no borrowings under its revolving credit facility. Assuming sufficient assets are pledged to the facility and compliance with all facility terms, after taking into account cash balances on hand, Prospect has over $800 million of new investment capacity.

      Das wäre Hellseherei.

      Die anderen Punkte hat wallstreetmarc bestens erläutert.
      Auch andere High-Yield-Werte (z.B. American Capital) leiden unter den aktuellen Zins-Erwartungen in Ami-Land...
